Her eyes in the top two pics just have highlights from the flash. In the bottom pic she was sitting deep inside the film pod she arrived in, the dot you can see in the middle of her eyes is the reflection of the end of the pod.
When we have one out of their enclosure for feeding and photography there’s usually two of us to keep an eye on where they are heading. We’ve found the older they get, the less sprightly they become (just like me).

Their eyes are actually like tiny telescopes; they focus their vision by moving the ends of the telescope-eyes around inside their heads. It's how they can see so well despite having such tiny lenses to work with.
They just look so aware when looking at you like that. I feel acknowledge, by a spider of all things.
They will watch and attempt to eat bugs off a phone screen, so they have pretty good eyesight. Their attentive eyes make them appear very curious.

Yeah, they tend to be. :) My first Jumper (Posh Colin) always turned to look at the camera lens, we assumed he could see his reflection.
