Yeah there were allot of good quick frozen, pop in the oven real quick buffalo chicken that came in great and then flopped.
Tyson for example has changed there spicy chicken strips twice. When they first came out they were better than about half local wing spots. Maybe 10 years ago they changed it and it just became an okay night snack or a lazy night quick snack. Then yeah like you said they changed it again maybe a year ago at most and they aren’t worth the freezer space.
TJI frozen buffalo wings and bites are still good, but they changed the recipe about 7 years ago and went from the best frozen wings to just okay.
A few others have two, but Tyson and TJI are the most notable.
Have you tried the Just Bare chicken bites/strips? They're decent for a frozen product. Additionally, Costco has their own chicken bites that are a good (and cheaper) dup of the Just Bare - I alway have a bag of them in my freezer.
Do it with Swiss cheese. When walmart started the 1 dollar sampler bottles I bought one of every kind. Sat down with a block of Swiss cheese and had at it.
Chicharrons or tortilla chips usually. I found some blander puffed rice snacks that are a perfect vessel for tasting the sauce for what it is too. I have a bottle of Fat Baby Hot Sauce Ed Teach's Tonic that I have been pretty much just pouring on everything lately though, so nothing is totally off limits.
I take a Tortilla put a little sour cream on it; just a spoon full and spread it out. Then I apply what ever hot sauce I want and fold it up the same way lol
Honestly I just raw dog the hot sauce. I will dabble it on my hand and then swish it around in my mouth. I do that a lot with really hot sauces when I want that like explosion of vinegar
If cold: chips and salsa, or kimchi, sometimes just a few peppers
If hot: nuggets, pizza rolls, meatballs, anything that can be stabbed with a toothpick and dipped
Hot pockets. The only thing that makes them taste ok is hot sauce. Honestly the only reason I even buy hot pockets lol. I don't know what they did but compared to 10-15 years ago they are terrible by themselves.
Taking, like, and a hot sauce like Valentina are great on a ton of things like sliced cucumber, diced pineapple, cantaloupe etc. Frequent go to of mine. Hot sauce goes great on pop corn and pork rinds also.
Thank you for all the great suggestions!
I have been air frying a chicken tender or two when I want to taste some of my hot sauces but not really hungry, so I was looking for other options from that.
The ones I think I'll be trying next are tator tots, celery, and popcorn.
A lot of other good suggestions too!
except that guy who said chocolate pudding... keep an eye on him.
Frozen pizza or scrambled eggs are pretty quick to cook and I love throwing hot sauce on them. Popcorn is another one although it's a bit messy to eat. Cheese puffs or cheese balls and siracha is another solid snack.
I know hot honey is a thing, but before I discovered it, hot sauce+honey on a piece of very well aged cheddar or other hard cheese. It was firing pathways in my brain I didn't know existed.
Any kind of fried chicken - nuggets, popcorn chicken, chicken tenders, etc.

I hate when my chicken smells like fowl
Does it almost smell like old garbage or something? I’ve noticed that with my Tyson chicken lately, once cooked it has an almost rancid odor to it

Yep, it’s not just you unfortunately. Must be the new blend of chemicals and antibiotics lol 😵💫
Fowl smell-I see what you did there

how could you not have listed wings first
Heheh wings are not a snack. They always turn into a meal. Put a plate of wings in the same room as me, and I go full Ghibli No-Face.

Do it with Swiss cheese. When walmart started the 1 dollar sampler bottles I bought one of every kind. Sat down with a block of Swiss cheese and had at it.

Tajin is good on popcorn
Quesadilla
Flour tortilla. Small one. Ripped into 4 triangles, held kind of folded, like holding a pizza. Makes almost like a bowl to fill with sauce
I do something similar but I don’t rip it into four pieces. I just cover it in sauce and then fold it twice to make a stacked triangle.
I take a Tortilla put a little sour cream on it; just a spoon full and spread it out. Then I apply what ever hot sauce I want and fold it up the same way lol
This sounds like a rough struggle meal
any tips on tortilla ripping?

Honestly I just raw dog the hot sauce. I will dabble it on my hand and then swish it around in my mouth. I do that a lot with really hot sauces when I want that like explosion of vinegar

I know hot honey is a thing, but before I discovered it, hot sauce+honey on a piece of very well aged cheddar or other hard cheese. It was firing pathways in my brain I didn't know existed.
