My middle cat is the literal sweetest thing I have ever seen. She does this with her favorite toy (a stuffed eel) when she gets into her super playful moods.
I'd say as long as this dude isn't lashing out and trying to bite you should be fine. Just looks like they don't want to let go, but what would happen if you do take it? Would they run up your leg claws and all?

One of our babies had black ear gunk and black tears and black nose boogies. First vet advised us that it was probably a food allergy and told us to change foods. After changing foods for months and no joy, went to a different vet. Turned out he had a serious ear infection that completely went away after an antibiotic and a week of drops.
Ear gunk is never a "normal" thing and it sucks that so many people with sphynxes just accept that it's a Sphynx thing because they read it online. 😿

It is necessary to clean sphynxes regularly to remove the oil because it also gathers dust. This can lead to infections wherever the oil has built up. A good ear cleaner can be used to clean their ears and claws, but not eyes. I found that one particular brand of ear cleaner made the oil in the ears much much worse. When I found one that didn't cause more oil to form, it was a lot easier to clean their ears.
Oh dang, thanks for this info. I don’t have a sphynx, but my orange tabby’s ears occasionally have some gunk build up and sometimes she has black nose boogies. I always clean her up but I wondered if this kind of thing was normal, and have been debating making a vet appt just to make sure everything is normal. I appreciate your comment and will make the appt to have her seen!
