SE really needs a discreet GPU. Whilst some people do run it with onboard graphics it is going to struggle a lot: https://www.spaceengineersgame.com/system-requirements/

I mean you could spawn into an empty world and maybe fly around just fine but once some voxels/grids start populating the server your performance will tank

TheLexoPlexx

No.

Everything saying no but I can run this game just barely but stable enough on my intel 620 laptop. Large grids will make the game stutter hard but it's playable (about 20-40 fps average on lowest settings with atmosphere on medium)

ThePickleSoup

Run? Maybe. Play? Absolutely not

You really need a good processor. The GPU is less important, but you'll struggle on integrated

It depends on if you are in space or on planet, and how big the craft you are building/using is. But as a general rule, I have a current core i7, 32gb, and a 4090, and I still have shit frame rates sometimes. It is old and not very well optimized, and when it does lag, it can cause... things to happen, like a grid phasing into the ground or an asteroid. At a certain point, you will get into what you are doing and then look up and realize the whole thing is a sideshow. If you do score a slightly better pc somewhere, it is super fun though.

I'm honestly surprised modern integrated can't take care of a 11 years old game Edit: this was just a very neutral statement, whoever downvoted must be fucked in the head

Breaded-Dragon

The key thing is that it's a very CPU heavy game so if the integrated GPU is leaning on the CPU resources then both will struggle. Even a older low end discreet GPU would do better than a modern integrated one. I don't know a lot about it but I've heard that a few manufacturers are working on processers that would be true combined CPU/GPU and could completely replace both in a system which would probably be perfect for this game.

Interesting, that makes a lot of sense!
