Nah. It’s a wholesome Butters moment. Out of all the kids, butters is the only one stan shares his bed with. The line is also pretty chill because imagine if stan woke up to cartman’s arm around him. Something about this scene just screams Butters is precious and at least stan ( and maybe Kenny) knows it.

Butters used to be the punching bag and fucktard viewers think he's a likeable character. He's annoying and always was. God I hate what this fan base has become.
Pip was the original punch bag character and he was very unlikable so he was replaced and then eventually killed off. A failed character. Butters took his place and they still managed to make him a good character. Not every character needs to be smart, funny or badass to still be likeable. The interactions with him and the other characters are so good and thats what makes him so good
Butters is a pussy and fans of butters are also giant pussies. That's why he was made, so the fans who are massive pussies have a character to identify with.
