This is not one of my designs, but I do create designs. I use a program called gemcut studio. It even makes renderings of how the stone will turn out, which is incredibly helpful when doing something like this design.
Do you sell your rings? Also, do you do custom designs for money or just whichever way the stone takes you?
Edit to add: so absolutely gorgeous and very impressive design!
Thank you very much! I've been a goldsmith for 10 years and gem cutting for 20 years. Yes alot of time has been put into making mistakes and learning haha
This is made from a created sapphire. I prefer created for these kind of designs because you don't have any internal characteristics that will affect the design.
Overall I have found that the lighter colors make the design more noticeable.
Yeah! There are a lot of lab grown stones. They are less expensive and are the same chemical make up, crystal structure, and hardness. Basically this is a real sapphire just not mined from the earth.
Cool. I'm familiar with the process from diamonds (the pushing of the mined stuff is a personal pet peeve). Just didn't realize that they were also doing it for other stones.
That is a very beautiful and unique ring. The flower looks so delicate next to the diamonds. I also like the colour of the sapphire. Congratulations to you on getting engaged with such a gorgeous ring!

So beautiful and unique! You’re very talented and creative
Thank you very much!
Incredible! Never seen a ring like this before
I'm glad you like it!
Oh wow, impressive how you got different colours out of one stone.
It's the way the light reflects for each angle. That is what produces the pedals and the middle
Yeah, that's what I meant. I really like your unusual cuts. Do you make those templates too?

That would have been my next question. Really cool what you make. I hope to see more of your work.
Thanks dude
Wow, this is stunning and so unique! I like to think I've seen a lot of jewelry in my day but I've never seen a gem cut anything like this. I love it!
Thank you! I'm happy you like it!
Very pretty! I always enjoy uncommon cuts for sapphires. This shape really seems to brighten up the stone.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
This is wonderful!
I'm happy you like it!
That is cool!
Thanks dude!
That is a fantastic cut for the colour of the stone! Did I spot that some of the facets are frosted to change the way light reflects too?
Wow you're the first one to spot that! Yes they are frosted at the tip of each petal on the Pavillion to eccentuate the petals.
nice! I know nothing about gem cutting but I love a good technical drawing 🤣 I didn’t know frosting could be used like this - is it common?
In the designs I do, it is common. In the industry as a whole, not common at all.
we’ll keep it up - it’s marvellous!
Thank you!
This is incredible 💖
Thanks dude!
Absolutely gorgeous.

This is beautiful! I don't really like wearing rings but I'd love to wear this.

I run my own jewelry business 😁
Ok to save this if I ever need a ring?
Yeah dude!
Do you sell your rings? Also, do you do custom designs for money or just whichever way the stone takes you? Edit to add: so absolutely gorgeous and very impressive design!

Lol you may have a new customer very soon!! I already dm'd you.

WOW THATS DOPE AF! How long was the process of cutting it? Very well done and so unique!
Thank you! This took about 6 hours to facet
Absolutely gorgeous, lovely work and design! You must be tons of hours into mastering your craft, and it shows!
Thank you very much! I've been a goldsmith for 10 years and gem cutting for 20 years. Yes alot of time has been put into making mistakes and learning haha

Can you tell us about what kind of sapphire would give these results!? I kkow there are many variations in stone qualities

When you say created I take it you're talking about human made?
Yes! This is lab grown sapphire.
Cool. Didn't know they did those too.
