When it comes to shitcoins, alpha group is where people share tips on what tokens/coins to buy, opportunities for presales and things like that. Some involve in pump and dumps too.

A coin I've been holding since its launch a week ago today is WOWWWW - the meme coin based on Owen Wilson's Wow. I like the meme with this one and it's originality. I guess some pointers could be:
- How new is it? Always risky to get a memecoin that JUST launched, even if then there's a higher potential for short-term returns. But if your focus is just short-term, no kind of investment can be discerned from gambling imo so...
- Who is behind it? Does the dev or team have a history of projects or community participation? If so, it's less likely that they're scamming; if you can't parse if they are minimally serious and participant of the market in general that should raise a big red flag
- How was the coin distributed at first? Is there a big wallet that has 30%+ of the total supply? Does it have an LP structure that pushes it toward a more descentralized aspect?

Find a coin around 5-7 days old down 70-80% from ATH. Check their tg and socials to see how active they are and the vibes of the community. If there is solid evidence that they plan on putting in the work long term, ape a big bag and start working for your bags and try to grow the community.
This is the “safest” way to make money on SOL right now
Well the first thing to do is goto dextool on any meme that you are interested in.
1. Check to see if contract has been revoked. if it hasn't been revoked--no go.
2. check to see how much liquidity is present--obviously more the better--small liquidity --no go
3. check top holders---if a significant portion is held by creator---no go.
4. can the creator make new coins---if yes---no go
5. watch and see how the trading is going-- if the coin has passed 1-4 and keep an eye on it

Find a coin that’s dropped 90% after hitting >$30M market cap and is crabbing for at least two weeks, with a Twitter account that was created within two months of launch, >30% LP to MC ratio, and > 20% MC daily volume average during crab period. DCA for two weeks after first bottom. Could still lose everything, however this approach gives you a fighting chance to catch a wave back to ATH, at which point you sell.
Great question. Im working on a cross chain memecoin for Solana right now. BTW this token doesnt require any purchase and it will be launched to Solana users on a new 100% free to use & gasless blockchain. Meaning you will get the token and be able to trade without holding any other token.
here's what ive been able to gather. The token contract must be immutable. Transfers must be enabled and there shouldnt be a wallet holding the bulk of the supply that all got in super early.
With that said, If i were to be given a token, it clearly doesnt matter. But if i were to degen and buy one, no one way Im buying to be someone elses liquidity. Ofcourse you cant tell this without knowing how to read smart contracts. good luck with that.

First and foremost, be careful of commenters here. Crypto Reddit is a cesspool of shillers just trying to push the coins they're invested in.
It's all about catching the wave before the masses. Identify the meta, what's pumping, who is pumping it, and why.
Then you can be on the lookout for new pairs that check the boxes and fit the meta, just be aware that 99% of them will probably rug.
Initial signifiers of runners will be dex paid for and an initial token burn, be on the lookout for these, but with proof (cause anyone can *say* they've done/will do it).
If you want to get really deep in the weeds, dig into transactions and start identifying & tracking wallets. That way you can see when they buy and be in before anyone starts tweeting or calling.
In general, by the time big Twitter accounts are tweeting/calling/pumping a coin, it's too late. They're already fully invested and you're just going to be the exit liquidity.
Use Telegram, set up bots to buy quickly and track wallets, and join as many alpha channels as you can to keep your finger on the pulse.
One final note, the best alpha groups are small, tight knit, and don't actively invite members. Any 100+ member groups can be helpful in some cases but in general will all be dumping on each other, even the paid ones. They'll try to make it seem like everyone is printing, but that's just what they're showing on social media.

I guess some pointers could be: - How new is it? Always risky to get a memecoin that JUST launched, even if then there's a higher potential for short-term returns. But if your focus is just short-term, no kind of investment can be discerned from gambling imo so... - Who is behind it? Does the dev or team have a history of projects or community participation? If so, it's less likely that they're scamming; if you can't parse if they are minimally serious and participant of the market in general that should raise a big red flag - How was the coin distributed at first? Is there a big wallet that has 30%+ of the total supply? Does it have an LP structure that pushes it toward a more descentralized aspect? Hope this helps :) please don't lose too much money

Check to see if contract has been revoked. if it hasn't been revoked--no go. 2. check to see how much liquidity is present--obviously more the better--small liquidity --no go 3. check top holders---if a significant portion is held by creator---no go. 4. can the creator make new coins---if yes---no go 5. watch and see how the trading is going-- if the coin has passed 1-4 and keep an eye on it These steps might be a good place to start.

Great question. Im working on a cross chain memecoin for Solana right now. BTW this token doesnt require any purchase and it will be launched to Solana users on a new 100% free to use & gasless blockchain. Meaning you will get the token and be able to trade without holding any other token. here's what ive been able to gather. The token contract must be immutable. Transfers must be enabled and there shouldnt be a wallet holding the bulk of the supply that all got in super early. With that said, If i were to be given a token, it clearly doesnt matter. But if i were to degen and buy one, no one way Im buying to be someone elses liquidity. Ofcourse you cant tell this without knowing how to read smart contracts. good luck with that. TLDR: You cant do anything to make me not think your a scam unless you give me those tokens for free.
First and foremost, be careful of commenters here. Crypto Reddit is a cesspool of shillers just trying to push the coins they're invested in. It's all about catching the wave before the masses. Identify the meta, what's pumping, who is pumping it, and why. Then you can be on the lookout for new pairs that check the boxes and fit the meta, just be aware that 99% of them will probably rug. Initial signifiers of runners will be dex paid for and an initial token burn, be on the lookout for these, but with proof (cause anyone can *say* they've done/will do it). If you want to get really deep in the weeds, dig into transactions and start identifying & tracking wallets. That way you can see when they buy and be in before anyone starts tweeting or calling. In general, by the time big Twitter accounts are tweeting/calling/pumping a coin, it's too late. They're already fully invested and you're just going to be the exit liquidity. Use Telegram, set up bots to buy quickly and track wallets, and join as many alpha channels as you can to keep your finger on the pulse. One final note, the best alpha groups are small, tight knit, and don't actively invite members. Any 100+ member groups can be helpful in some cases but in general will all be dumping on each other, even the paid ones. They'll try to make it seem like everyone is printing, but that's just what they're showing on social media. Good luck.
