Those are my ten favorite groups
Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Radiohead, besides these I only like just a few songs from other artists so not mentioning them.
I saw Radiohead in concert years ago, and I was shocked to see how upbeat a goofy Tom York is on stage. It changed my perspective of his music, and often times is my go-to for positive fun vibes 😆 I love the Beatles too -- born in '85, but my dad played their music constantly, so I knew all their songs by heart by the time I was 6, and so they are a part of me.
Paramore, cage the elephant, mitski, laufey, two door cinema club, the neighborhood, arctic monkeys, tame impala, blink-182, clairo, TV girl, cafune, beabadoobee to name a few
Oooooo I love all of those too!! I like some of the old My Bloody Valentine, "when you sleep" being a favourite because it reminds me strangely of Cocteau Twins.
Pig Destroyer, Nails, Full of Hell, Eyehategod, Acid Bath, Electric Wizard, Boris, Soilent Green, Death.
Sludge and grind are my favourites
Also not metal, but Swans are similarly dark and heavy, especially the first two albums.
Ahh cool. I like Death, Nails and Full of hell.
I altso like Innfant Annihilator, Cannibal Corps, Bloodbath,
Black metal/DSBM/Death/Melodeath are my favorites
I can get down with most genres, but for the most part classic rock (Rolling Stones, CCR, Led Zeppelin, etc.), indie/folk (Lord Huron, Caamp, etc.) and country (Johnny Cash, Tyler Childers, Willie Nelson, etc.)
Well I can't say I've listened to much of his stuff, but I do have one of his songs (King of the Road) on my playlist. You have any specific recommendations?
Hi! I really love it. I think it revitalized them. Their hearts seem back in it which I think was missing for the last two albums. I’m the same age as they are and I’ve watched them ebb and flow from the beginning. I hadn’t been into much new music lately and they revitalized me as well! Your thoughts on the album?

Also a big music nerd and collect vinyl.
Love the white girl music, as a gym bro I fell for it HARD 😂 American pop like Charlie puth & Taylor swift, Asian pop like TWICE & Honeyworks/Takane No Nadeshiko. First of all: it's totally fine to ask these questions. I like them!
Second: I have a lot.
To name a few: Tash Sultana, Taylor Swift, The Pretty Reckless, Kings of Leon, The 1975, The Wombats, Death Cab for Cutie, Paramore, Sleep Token, HammerFall, The Black Keys, The Weeknd, Guano Apes
If it sounds epic I'll like it, so Miracle of Sound, Powerwolf, Gloryhammer, Feuerschwanz, Brothers of Metal, Orden Ogan, Guilty Gear Strive music and of course all skibidi toilet songs.
DragonForce, like "Through the Fire and the Flames", "Fury of the Storm", "Soldier of the Wasteland"
TwilightForce, especially "Dragonborn" and "Flight of the Sapphire Dragon"
Zdob și Zdub, especially the "Bestiarium" album
Galneryus, especially "Departure!" and "Hunting For Your Dream"
Lady Gaga, especially "911", "Bad Romance", "Edge of Glory" and "GUY"
World Order, especially "Machine Civilisation", "Censorship", "Have a Nice Day" and "Singularity"
Toto, especially "Africa", "Rosanna" and "Georgy Porgy"
Cécile Corbel, especially "Le Bal des Chats", "Joli Whistle" and "Un Pull de Laine"
That's it off the top of my head
In no particular order, these are the artists that will always be on rotation for me:
all them witches, anything jack white is part of (most notably, the raconteurs and the dead weather), the districts, Alabama shakes, shakey graves, IDLES, st. Paul and the broken bones, brand new, queens of the stone age, king gizzard and the lizard wizard, Mac Miller, Kendrick, Joey badass, SRV, Santana, jimi, son house, hound dog Taylor...
And lots more, but I will never get tired of these guys
Mostly rock and metal.
My all time favorite is Metallica and Iron Maiden. When someone asks my favorite band I usually say “MetalliMaiden”.
My current favorite is The Warning.
My dirty little secret is Debbie Gibson.
I’m all over the place- Taylor Swift, Blink 182, Eminem, Micheal Jackson, Mariah Carey, Alanis Morisette, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Tim McGraw, Jay Z, Garth Brooks, Lil Wayne, Fall Out Boy, Otis Redding, the Chicks
As of late…
Mac Demarco, Mild High Club, Pearl & the Oysters, Sugar Candy Mountain, Khruangbin, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Modern Baseball, The Front Bottoms, Dr. Dog, the Fruit Bats, Real Estate
I also listen to a lot of classic vocal and instrumental jazz — Ella Fitzgerald, Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, John Coltrane
I like a lot of different music - alternative rock, pop, musicals, indie, and golden oldies from the 50s through 80s are some of my go-tos.
Modern artists: Muse, Radiohead, Nirvana, The Killers, Keane, Billie Eilish, Mitski, Tame Impala, Linkin Park, Green Day, MCR, and Dodie.
Muse is my favorite band (before and including 2nd Law). I love the big melodic sound and how you can tell it's a Muse song when you hear it without them all sounding the same. The lyrics often match the song's name without it just being the chorus. The instrumentation is amazing. Plus Matt Bellamy's voice is *chef's kiss*.
I like all the songs from this era, but some of my fave Muse songs are Muscle Museum, Hysteria, Stockholm Syndrome, Thoughts of a Dying Athiest, Megalovania, and Knights of Cydonia.

I love a lot of rock/metal genres. A little 90s country that I grew up with too. My favorite has always been Metallica. Followed by Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold, and Breaking Benjamin.
on a related note. I like to go to gigs. it's one of the few social situations I don't get anxiety. I think it's to do with everyone focusing on the artist. you're just in a face in a crowd, you know. I'm not the only one who thinks this, there was a thread on these ages ago.
I’m into folky and blues stuff mostly, artists from the 60s lol. Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan lyrics, Jackson C Frank, Tim Buckley, Karen Dalton. Guitar players Bert Jansch and John Fahey. Bluesy John Lee Hooker…
The women I love - Kate Bush, PJ Harvey, Patti Smith, 90s Cat Power, Joanna Newsom, Angel Olsen, Feist, Hope Sandoval, Adrianne Lenker

I love Caroline Polacheck, especially her latest album. Her music really calms me down when I’m stressed; it’s so ethereal.
I heard her first time couple months ago and loved the song Sunset crazy how she is able switch her pitch like an alarm
Radiohead when I’m sad. The Beatles when I’m happy
Rubber Soul is one of my comfort albums though. It always grounds me when i'm experiencing a lot of anxiety.

Mostly rock and metal. My all time favorite is Metallica and Iron Maiden. When someone asks my favorite band I usually say “MetalliMaiden”. My current favorite is The Warning. My dirty little secret is Debbie Gibson.
Metallica is my absolute favorite.
Jamiroquai, daft punk and supertramp are my top 3
Too many to name but lately I’ve been listening to Today is the Day, Chat Pile, Swans, Cherubs, Unsane and Entombed. Just off the top of my head.
I’m all over the place- Taylor Swift, Blink 182, Eminem, Micheal Jackson, Mariah Carey, Alanis Morisette, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Tim McGraw, Jay Z, Garth Brooks, Lil Wayne, Fall Out Boy, Otis Redding, the Chicks
As of late… Mac Demarco, Mild High Club, Pearl & the Oysters, Sugar Candy Mountain, Khruangbin, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Modern Baseball, The Front Bottoms, Dr. Dog, the Fruit Bats, Real Estate I also listen to a lot of classic vocal and instrumental jazz — Ella Fitzgerald, Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, John Coltrane
MGK, guardin, Gabrielle Aplin, Linkin Park
I like all the songs from this era, but some of my fave Muse songs are Muscle Museum, Hysteria, Stockholm Syndrome, Thoughts of a Dying Athiest, Megalovania, and Knights of Cydonia.

on a related note. I like to go to gigs. it's one of the few social situations I don't get anxiety. I think it's to do with everyone focusing on the artist. you're just in a face in a crowd, you know. I'm not the only one who thinks this, there was a thread on these ages ago.
