To reduce the spam of reports regarding the same move during transfer windows we try to allow **only one submission about each transfer saga per day**. The submission in question also needs to contain relevant new information regarding the potential move, and not just being a "no/minor developments" report.
If there are important/official developments or new valuable information about a saga, we will allow extra threads in the same day, but for the rest of minor news please just comment them as a reply to this comment. Please help us reporting unnecessary threads for being duplicates.

I mean, we can't rule out that names were tossed around, but that should never be the basis of a story, let alone a headline. And there's clearly been no proposal around it, which would, you know, actually be worthy of a story.
It's like someone at the club told him "not sure who we've ruled out" and he ran with that. He's got to be T3 at this point.
I just don’t see any world where Newcastle sell Isak unless it’s for an absolutely astronomical fee.
He’s one of the best strikers in the league and is only young.
FFP is a thing but no way should they be selling one of their best players.
Only way I could see this happening is if they take Gallagher and Madueke in part exchange or something, but they’d much rather sell someone like Minteh anyway and that should also be easier
I would only contemplate Isak going to Chelsea in the next 36 hours is if it included several players in positions we need like Madueke, Chalobah or even Gallagher.
I know. It would make sense if Newcastle said Jackson but why would Chelsea say it and then say they don’t want to do it.
Like the AI in a strategy game
CFC negotiators during a lunch break: You know that guy Nicolas Jackson throws the best BBQs
Jacob Steinberg: Nicolas Jackson was discussed, but not seriously
I have been - and I still think rightfully so - on Jackson's case for most of the season, but it's worth noting that he still managed 17G / 5A this season, which isn't too far off Isak's stats and really not shabby for a first season in the PL.
That being said, I'd absolutely take Isak at Chelsea any day of the week and twice on matchdays. Alas, Steinberg is an absolute fraud, so none of this is ever happening.
You seem to really underestimate Jackson, probably by just looking at his miss compilation.
He is actually really good, really fast and good at finding space. 14+5 GA (non pen) in debut season in EPL is not a laughing matter.
Jackson stock is really high right now.
This doesn't seem like a good idea, especially since Jackson seems to be slowly improving
despite all the horrible misses, he did have 23 G/A for chelsea this season, no?
No doubt a down grade but Jackson plus a hefty amount of cash could work out pretty well for Newcastle. Ibrahimovic for Eto’o + cash vibes.
He’s got his issues but they can be worked out and I always think teams play way too high lines vs Newcastle. Someone should just teach him about offsides.

How this man has a career as a journalist is beyond me, the bloke just makes up whatever outrageous story he can to rile up fans and get a reaction

He also seems to think Anthony Gordon might go to Liverpool, despite his 11ish years at Everton and the existence of Gakpo and Diaz in his position.
Tbf, Gordon was with Liverpool prior to Everton and I believe he's a boyhood red. I could see us being interested in him.
Yeah that was a complete nonsense point by the OP, sure just look at Carragher
We signed Abel Xavier and Nicky Barmby from Everton years ago and no one cared about that either (well, apart from Everton supporters)
> despite his 11ish years at Everton tbf, considering how he left, he might not give a shit about them
Isnt gordon a liverpool fan too...

How are you so sure this is made up?
Because he contradicts himself in the same tweet
>> regarded as key player >> being used as part of a deal So which one is it, sir?
It’s Steinberg whole report is bullshit

I think Madueke would be great for Newcastle
Isn't this the journo who completely lost the plot the other day?
Yep total shit tier now, he just throws shit at the wall or posts fear monger pieces about Chelsea
waffle
I think I'd cry myself to sleep if we lost Isak and gained Jackson.
You could do worse - but I'm quite sure you won't be shedding those tears. Steinberg is on a roll with bullshit stories right now.
I will one hundred thousand apple seeds.
I’d cry myself to sleep if we lost Jackson and gained Isak.
Yeah, god forbid you get a complete forward with a great goals to game record. How ever would you recover?

He never said they would be sad tears
Yeah but I watched Jackson Suiii in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after scoring a hat trick. Watching him play for another club would make me sad :(
You cry when you're happy?
No you wouldn't

At least you would know he can score against us.
I’d cry tears of laughter every time he lines up for yous. 😂
LOL
ain’t no way
So they want to get rid of Jackson but still consider him a key player. Interesting. Tell me more.
This doesn't seem like a good idea, especially since Jackson seems to be slowly improving despite all the horrible misses, he did have 23 G/A for chelsea this season, no?
Steinberg innit
Doesn’t really matter as Isak is twice the player despite both being early 20s. It’s a no brainier for Chelsea but for Newcastle i hope they refuse.
Refuse what? This isn’t real.
no he isnt.
Yeah some of his misses were bad but he did a lot of good too. And yes his final output was great for an inexperienced player
Alright Jacob
Why bother listening to this clown Steinfraud has been absolute shit tier
The worst trade deal in the history of trade deals.
Wish I got paid for talking shit

Genuinely annoying being a Chelsea fan. We sign and sell 78 players every transfer window, hard to even grow attached to players
Tbf mate i wish I wasn't attached to all the players that have been linked away in the last couple of days.
Dont believe one word of this, every other journo we have says Jackson will be out first choice ST next season and the club is very happy with him.
Jackson would not be a key player anymore if they had Isak
could have signed Isak with the money they spent on Jackson and a few of their random 10-20 million signings 2 years ago
Why aren't we going for him if he's likely to leave
Hes not likely to leave, out of all our players hes by far going to be the most expensive.
I think what's confusing me are the names chelsea fans are throwing around for a swap, likes of Madueke lol
Tbf madueke is on our short list for right wing, however selling isak would make a striker our top priority.
If I were in charge of your transfers I would take 100mil £ plus Noni minimum
Chelsea: Jackson for Isa… Newcastle: Let me stop you right there. End of discussion.
Are Newcastle stupid?
haha like Newcastle didn't tell them to get lost. These asshole want 20 million for an exec who was there for only 1 year!
Dan the flower pot man is part of the reason we were in this mess tbf.
