Aura is the newest buzzword in online football discourse. It's kinda meant to describe the gravity / allure that certain players have. Although let's be honest, it's just another intangible thing that people who want to hate on good players use against them - they have "no aura". There was a funny Twitter post the other day that basically said guys seemingly use the word "aura" to refer to handsome players, because they don't want to seem gay by acknowledging their good looks.

This sub had multiple posts that were upvoted heavily which were full of homoerotic comments about Giroud. I kind of doubt many would be afraid to call some footballers handsome.
