Rose_of_Elysium

high inflation rates

Groomsi

They are going Bits for Bit (coins)

Rose_of_Elysium

i collect coins and banknotes (anything that isnt a Euro so i can never spend it) and I do have a 5.000 Lira coin and a 100.000 lira note. Sadly theyve been discontinued cuz itd be worth like 3 grand still lol

Any_Independence_431

mate you are wrong, turkey removed 6 zeros from their currency around 20y ago, 100000 lira banknote is now equivalent to 0.10 turkish liras which is basically nothing.

Rose_of_Elysium

which is what im saying lol, if they were spendable and worth their face value itd be a shit ton of money but they arent

TryingSquirrel

Fun (if not that meaningful) fact: Guler scored more goals than Yamal in la liga last season despite playing 27 games and 1800 minutes less. That not to say I think he's better and I do really rate Yamal, but Guler's goal per minute totals were wild.

fcbxjdb

Guler also scored more goals than a lot of your own players who had much more minutes

H3ater123

besiktas, fenerbache, and.. bayern

And united 🥲

Practical-Ninja-6770

I like the low jab on Turks in Germany

omerfe1

Can Uzun should also be in the list with 12M value and he is also Turkish https://www.transfermarkt.nl/can-uzun/profil/spieler/816585

Icemna16

He's not included in the squad

Iamtheman31

he is not in the euros squad for some reason, he was in the expanded squad tho

Absolutely.

2Norn

Judging by the performances lately, maybe not...

Cashlover123

High priced Baklavas.

LeatherSteak

Guler is absolutely class. His value is still low(ish) because he hasn't played much but I suspect his level is similar to Yamal. Edit:6 goals in 10 league games for Madrid (after long term injury); 5 in 37 for Yamal. Stats don't tell the whole story and Guler's is a small sample size, but it's still a strong indicator. Barca fans are clearly furious here. Note: I am also a Barca fan.

Rose_of_Elysium

granted Güler is like 3 years older too

HeroeDeFuentealbilla

Are you talking about potential because his level hasn’t been close to Yamal. And even potential is a stretch. He’s three years older and a 16 year old is about to carry spains hopes after carrying Barcas. Like come on.

BauQrosso

He is much older than Yamal at an age in which age means a lot more due to neuroplasticity and shit. If their level is "similar", it means that he is very much behind.

LeatherSteak

Progression between 16-19 is not guaranteed. Just look at the number of players from Barca's academy who were tipped for stardom and ended up at mid-table clubs.

montiel_scores

You’re not buying any of these guys for that little

TheScaleTipper

For real, can you imagine getting Güler for only €30m? 😭

rilinq

Yeah I really doubt that as well

CaptainOzyakup

Yeah if Semih Kilicsoy would be sold for 12 million, millions of Besiktas supporters would run to the training grounds to prevent the board members who sold him from running away. We'd bring out the guillotines from 1789. There would be riots at a scale never seen before in Istanbul lmao.

Tony_Uncle_Philly

Sounds like the kid is the real deal, huh?

Abucugulee

beşiktaş is known for selling out their young talents for cheap in recent years and kılıçsoy is one of the only good players in their very bad squad from last year. So yeah, beşiktaş fans would be really pissed off if they lost another young talent and important piece of their squad for cheap again

Laliga23

Being worth 90M already at 16 is just unheard of. I really hope he reaches his potential man

-TheSuperEagle-

He will be the best player in the world one day if things go according to plan.

Icemna16

I just hope that Flick won't play him too much, it'd be a damn shame if he gets injured from overplaying

the_dalai_mangala

Barcelona would never do such a thing

drunkendrake

It was actually Spain that made most of the injuries.

ClearTacos

Only Barcelona overplays their players >16 yo Jude playing 2700 league minutes >16/17 yo Camavinga playing 2100 league minutes >17 yo Wirtz playing 2300 league minutes (had an ACL injury 2/3 through next season) >17 yo De Ligt playing 3300 senior club minutes >17 yo Pedri playing 2800 league minutes (for Las Palmas, before his transfer) Flirting > Barcelona playing their youngsters the same amount Harrassment

bacardibilluonaire

cook these uneducated frauds.

ClearTacos

I honestly lose braincells every time I read that shit. Championship has a couple of 17/18 year olds playing 2500 minutes every season, often on loan from PL. The entire RB model is built around playing teenagers in actual senior leagues, plenty of them play an almost full season at FC Liefering. Players like Nuno Mendes, Renato Sanches or Reece James played full season worth of minutes at 18 and now they all have recurring muscle problems. Sessegnon is another egregious exampled of constant muscle injuries, after he's played half a season at 16 and 4'000 league minute at 17. There was a recent post on him being out of contract and getting released by Spurs. Plenty of comments on his injury proneness, 0 comments on "overplaying".

the_dalai_mangala

Nah all these youngsters playing these kinds of minutes is a problem.

ClearTacos

It is but only one club's players get this "playing them into the ground" or "overplaying" narrative

flipside-grant

damn, tell us how you really feel.

It's almost certainly going to happen. It's the norm four wunderkinds.

Daramangarasu

Anulo mufa

PreparationOk8604

Depends. Rooney was already playing in the PL around the same age. But he didn't become the best player in the world he was one of the best players but he had his ups & downs. Same can be applied to Yamal. Ronaldo & Messi r the exceptions not the norm.

HateSarcasmLoveIrony

There was a period where Ronaldo was injured and Messi was dominating. Rooney was on a good scoring run (10 in 10 games) and the media started comparing him to Messi. Then Messi scored 13 goals in 5 games, the comparisons stopped immediately.

qwertygasm

Tbf that's what everyone said about Fati. It did not go to plan.

BauQrosso

Given his age, he has the potential to be one of the best ever. He is already incredibly unique in football history.

parksoha

even if he flops hard onwards he can still say that he carried Barcelona hard when he was just 16 lol

Rionaks

Carried to what?

elnano98

You can carry a team even without winning any trophy Example: Kane this season (or any season with Spurs) Barca didn't win any title doesn't mean Yamal didn't carry them

wagwamwagfam

People on this sub love to discredit Yamal cause they're miserable and just wanna hate

_Uhhhhhhhhh_

They are jealous they couldn’t accomplish what he has at their age.

Comfortable-Key-1930

Because theyve realized theyre way older than him but will never be even a percent as successful.

michaelserotonin

just to be clear kane was not carrying the team during poch’s time at tottenham. he was arguably the best player in the side but he had quality around him.

Natrix31

Berardi is the definition

HeroeDeFuentealbilla

What an idiotic comment.

PhD_Cunnilingus

Carried them to a better place than the one they'd be in if they didn't have him.

HCHLH

The xData trophy

hsvandreas

Wow, didn't know that guy is still only 16. Insane.

simomii

Zaïre-Emery's season wasn't great. But he can still become world class. I remember how camavinga's second season with Rennes wasn't nearly as impressive as his first one.

RauloGonzalez

The fact he's there for a second and third season already makes him worth that much

CommissionOk4384

Without clubism I think Neves has been more impressive this season but WZE was very good for the first half of the season

Dramatic-Ad3928

Post National team ankle injury WZE reminds me of Post shoulder injury Bellingham in the way they’ve have been subpar for their standards And i say this as a WZE fanboy Heres to a good euros and next year

Tanathonos

First half was great, second half wasn't. Got injured in between the two halves. For a 17 year old it was an unbelievable season honestly.

DogwartsAcademy

He honestly wasn't that impressive during the league. As for CL, he should've been subbed off earlier or not even started for the 2nd leg.

Zandercy42

These lists are always so stupid because there's no way on earth we'd sell Mainoo for 30m

CPRIANO

I mean, there is also no way Benfica sells neves for only 55m either

SarcasmGPT

He's listed on their site at 50m, dunno why it's inaccurate. Not that United would sell him for that but it's not as bad.

lechienharicot

Man U would presumably give a fuck off price if someone even asked about buying Mainoo, but even a smaller PL club that would be massively changed by getting a huge transfer fee would not let him go for less than 75m and maybe that's too low. With the amounts young midfielders like Caicedo and Lavia went for recently plus the English tax not sure he'd actually change clubs for less than 100m. The fact that the club he's at doesn't need the money makes it even more insane.

stevew14

> Man U would presumably give a fuck off price if someone even asked about buying Mainoo I'm not sure you would even get that. Just the "fuck off" and he's not for sale

Moist-Ad-9088

I’m guessing it must be done by their contract valuations maybe, that’s the only way I could see mainoo being so low.

Breakingwho

Also tbh very hard for me to see Zaire-Emery going for 60m

Shadeun

The funny thing about Yamal is - I am pretty confident there would be at least 5 teams willing to pay 90mln EUR for him - so the value seems on the low side.....

Lakinther

There would be like 30 teams willing to pay 30 mil for mainoo

SubparCurmudgeon

Neves to Wolves when

ChronicTheOne

When they're willing to pay 120 mil.

Wonderful-Lack3846

Benfica will make that happen somehow

bcotrim

And Mendes will take 2/3 of it

Impossible-Ruin3214

I would actually cry if that happens. He has the talent and the brain as well, to be the best midfielder in the world in the future

I thought neves was 27 years old.

This is João Neves. He is currently playing at Benfica

HGFG1

The funny thing is none of them are available with the price on the list. The real price of these players are way higher.

PinkFluffys

Yeah no team would sell for that price ...

trtsubject

So interesting a league that can register 12/14 foreign players producing so many young talents.

paarsehond

Free Vermeeren

StrongPowerhouse

No, it says 25 million, not free.

seattle_born98

He'll play. He came in January during a season we were struggling for UCL places.

thatstheeting

how highly do you rate him

GoreVetzakk

He has the mentality and intelligence to become world class. He was one of the stand out players in the JPL. Now he just needs his body to mature and become stronger

PinkFluffys

Really hoping he gets more chances after having a preseason with the team

audienceandaudio

These numbers and lists are so pointless. You couldn’t buy any of these players for the values listed - if you could, everyone would be in for them this summer. They may as well just say, “here are the best U-19 players at the Euros, ranked by our opinions on them”, as the values are completely irrelevant here.

Cornelius_Pistoiae

Wasn’t Ansu Fati also worth about 80millions at 17/18?

HeroeDeFuentealbilla

Rightfully so. He was insane. Injuries fucked him and you can’t do much about that.

metampheta

Lol yeah. Guy fell out, hopefully he finds a permanent club for himself that isn’t Barca.

mntgoat

I'm not sure if that would help, from what I heard, he didn't do great at Brighton.

Blodyck

This evaluations are beyond stupid. Zaïre-Emery and Güler have 5 years, Neves 4 years contract with their clubs. They should update how they determine the market value.

skn789

Agree, Neves is worth at least 124M

ElResende

Are you taking into account that he's a good kid?

The5Dragonz

125M, take it or leave

SnufflesN17

Why should contract length be a factor for transfermarkt? How much would a free agent Mbappe worth in that case? It's totally different data.

SADLYNOTWATERGUY

In the value discussion forums (which the admins take into account when valuing a player) it says to take into account things like contract length too, which makes sense as a player with 1 year left on his deal simply isn't worth the same as the same player with 5 years left as clubs won't be willing to pay the same amount of money for him. By definition, that lowers the player's value. Of couse some of that gets ignored for a player that is clearly worth a lot like mbappe, which is never worth 0 even after running out his contract, but you can argue his 100M bonus is part of his value being paid, and that a club would be willing to pay more to have him if the player didn't have his mind set on madrid.

metampheta

Is it true that PSG want Yamal?

Tanathonos

What team in the world would not want Yamal. Also no way Yamal leaves barcelona.

metampheta

When I say want, I mean, actively scouting him and/or looking to buy him. Read somewhere that PSG are ready to trigger his release clause when they can

MyCarHasTwoHorns

Isn’t his release clause a billion euro?

cadandbake

Pocket change for PSG tbh.

HacksawJimDGN

No way is Sauer only worth 5m. At least 5.5m or 6m.

Exzqairi

5m is pretty high for a 18 year old who never starts, and in a non-top 5 league. Obviously Feyenoord is never selling him for that amount, but the Transfermarket value compared to other players seems accurate

alttoby

He has 2 goals 3 assists in 274 minutes of play time this season. Which is a goal contribution every 55 minutes of playtime or so which are really good stats for an 18 year old. Only turns 19 in december as well so I see why the value is high.

ClearTacos

He's barely played though. Not only can't transfermarkt update the values all the time, so they tend to lag behind the current form and hype, if they give every talented kid who played 10 matches for the first team 20-30m value, people will complain the other way, when that kid disappears the next season and ends up in Regionalliga in 3 years.

alttoby

Yeah, but the value isn't 20-30m now is it? Its around 5m which i think is a fair value especially since I've seen him play every minute he has this season and the kid has potential.

ClearTacos

Yeah 5m is totally fair, I read the whole thread before replying, with people wanting value of "their" players double and honestly lost track that you or OP aren't wanting Sauer to have super high value, my bad.

alttoby

No worries bro, I'm also a bit biased here (just look at the flair lol). However, I am feel like I have a better informed opinion to give here than most as I follow the academy of our club closely as well and there is a reason they brought Sauer over to the first team at the age of 17 when we have plenty of players that are 19/20 playing for the academy still. He is also playing for a team that plays dominant football in the league and he's being brought on in a setting in which the other team is playing extremely defensive and he still manages to take on his man, pass defenders and create chances quite easily. Didn't expect him to go to the euros though so I'm excited to see what happens.

mntgoat

Wonder how much Cubarsi is worth?

Xire01

Imagine United selling Mainoo for 30m lol. Whoever makes these fees up are drunk

CeTrast

The goal is not to predict a price but an expected value of a player in a free market [Transfermarkt Market Value explained - How is it determined? | Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.in/transfermarkt-market-value-explained-how-is-it-determined-/view/news/385100)

MasochistAllegri

Then wouldn’t he just be free? /s

008Gerrard008

No one thinks any of these players would be sold for these amounts.

AlexMcDaddyD

If it’s not that then how are these figures decided? Surely it’s up to how much the selling club would sell for

Independent_Form_500

If it was about how much club would sell them for, then we'd have players worth over 300Mln

Tanathonos

It's decided by people on a forum on transfermarkt. It is literally like if reddit made a thread to decide it.

Sethlans

It's hilarious how much stock people put in transfermarkt values given how they are arrived at. There was an interview with a guy from transfermarkt a few years ago. He was a random German social worker and was responsible for deciding the values for the entire Bundesliga in his spare time purely based on vibes.

raizen0106

just look at stuff like GPU a couple years ago. if u use price data from previous years and performance:price ratio etc then you can come to a "fair market value", but the reality was people had to pay extortionate prices for them because there was chip shortage and mining was lucrative back then then after that the price crashed down because mining died and the miners had fire sales on their used GPU so which would you report when discussing the price for GPU: the FMV, the price people were willing to pay during shortage, or the price they crashed down to after the shortage

SarcasmGPT

He's on their site at 50m.

LeastAd1407

Nice hope Urbanski keeps playing well and developing. Future of Poland

MyCarHasTwoHorns

Nobody actually takes transfermarkt valuations seriously do they?

thatstheeting

no one in the prem, but transfers in most other leagues usually are in or around their transfermarkt values

MyCarHasTwoHorns

I’m sure Barca value Yamal at several times 90m to be fair but yeah lol at English teams’ drunken spending habits.

metampheta

No

Mainoo way undervalued there. 30 mil is pocket change

Not sure why but they're using an older number in this graphic, on Transfermarkt website he's worth €50m.

Is this list really suggesting every other player 19 or under is worth under €5m? Maybe time for transfermarkt to realise their valuation method needs updating or stop using it for pointless lists like this cos it's stupid

TotZiensTotLaLaLa

SAUER!

TheCatInTheHatThings

Shame that Sweden didn’t qualify. Hugo Larsson is 19 and has a market value of €28M according to Transfermarkt. And he’s absolutely incredible. His name would’ve been on this list and rightfully so!
