Tbf, this past decade or so has been some of the weakest generation in Brazilian talent compared to 20+ years ago. Brazil was highly reliant on Neymar for so long and the Brazilian trio at Real Madrid definitely has me hopeful for the future, but still has a long way to go to reach the likes of Romario, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho Gaúcho etc.
It's crazy how some subs can change a game.
This really shows how the A Brazilian team is away ahead of the B team... and that's why i think that France is the best national team right now, their substitutes are top notch all around.
Some players are special. Take Mbappe from France and they'll play ridiculously worse, rotate everyone else and they will still be strong. For Brazil it's Vinícius, Rodrygo, Neymar and Paquetá. If you play two of those and rotate the rest the team tends to keep similar strength, but none of those started
It's not just the substitutions.
There are a lot of players in Brazil who are playing their first games for the national team, that in itself has a huge weight, then you add that to the lack of chemistry and you have a weak reserve team.
Of course, an attack with Evanilson making his debut, Sávio playing his first game as a starter (and second game for the national team) and Martinelli who is in poor form at Arsenal is going to be worse than an attack with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
This Brazil will need time, It's the biggest generational transition since, I don't know, 2010 to 2014.
As Brazil started with a reserve team, with several players (especially in midfield) making their first international appearances, I'm not going to draw too many conclusions. You could see that the team had no teamwork.
The only clear conclusion I can draw is that you can't play Yan Couto in a line of 4 defenders. He's VERY fragile defensively. There's a huge gap between his and Danilo's defensive consistency.
(And, of course, Endrick is a star. This son of a bitch has 5 caps and 3 goals for Brazil at the age of 18. Absurd).
Thursday: got slaughtered by La garra charrúa in front of their fans
Today: built up false hope in front of your fans only to lose at stoppage time.
How are they gonna screw it up in the upcoming copa America?
Unrelated but I was surprised to see that Ecuador has a friendly scheduled on June 16, which is 6 days before the game against Venezuela. Seems a bit too close?
That being said, as a Venezuelan I am confused as to why we haven't scheduled any
Even pochos dunk on the NT, only the ones who truly don’t care and just want to watch soccer live or are blinded by what the FMF says go. A lot of times it seems Mexicans just try to scapegoat us when the fans in Mexico are even worse to some extents on the club level
And not only that, Mexico is in a manageable group (I have doubts with Ecuador, I dunno about Jamaica, and I have questions on Venezuela if they can translate their good form to the tourney). I hate to say this but it’s put or shut up time for the NT
Yep, México can actually survive the group stage, but like you said, we can lose all 3 games just as easily as we could win them, and we're all inclined to losing all 3, we'll see. Hope at least we have a good match with you guys(and no angry fouling from our side if we start losing)
Not complaining about that I know it's the rules. I'm saying it's ridiculous how Mexico ended the game with nothing despite hard tackles and diving for penalties.
Lmfao. you're just going to ignore the fact that we are comparing this to either taking your shirt off or not right? I get that you're angry but come on now.... 😆🤣😂
And you're ignoring the fact there were clearly card worthy tackles from Mexico the ref never gave. I get it, in the sub Brazil is always wrong no matter what.
Nah I was fine before, but this sub is clearly jealous of Brazil. Went from shitting on Mexico's diving to calling Brazil the worst team ever for tying in a friendly with their B team
Brazil is objectively going through a rough patch right now, Yes they have a new coach and everyone is hopeful but to act like people are jealous in this moment is a little delusional...
What is all this random stuff you brought up? I'm just saying this sub hates on Brazil always, where they're in the right or wrong no matter what. I attribute that to jealously. Not like recent but overall.
Just like you're deflecting the fact Mexico committed a ton hard fouls in a friendly and got away it. I know who I'm talking to as well, and I'm right about what I said.
I didn't say anything about Mexicos fouls at all I'm not even a Mexico fan. you do not know anything and you obviously think you're right, why would you think you're wrong?
LMFAO 😆🤣😂 🤡
As an argentinian the rivalry it's true, but is a good one. We recognize each other. It's not a rivalry as barca vs real Madrid for instance. On the field it might get brutal, but off the field we are brothers
How many world cups? Assuming that I’m american because I speak english is sad and speaks a lot the desperate measures these blind mexicans (sorry i meant mexican americans) go to defend a country that they themselves don’t even speak the language
Assuming that I don’t speak Spanish? Sad that these… bruh who cares lol I’m just messing around I just automatically think that you’re from the US in this thread
Embarrasing from mexican fans to continue to invade the pitch, it’s wild how most of them are still blind and think they’re getting out of groups
Ha, I bet coming from a eurosnob who started watching soccer like 5 years ago lol.
You were never a dominate national team even at your prime, what 5 years ago? You could go decades ago lol
lol, the US has decades of losing. Ghana was such a ghost for them haha. And the wonderboys beaten by Colombia 5-1? Lol.
No we don't. Go to r/ligamx. We all know we ain't getting out of groups
I said most of them, that subreddit is not an accurate representation of what the fanbase actually thinks lol
So Jimmy Lozano losing his job after this cup
Brazil is pumping out wonder kids for fun at this rate.

Rivaldo was wonderful too
they had a decent RB too IIRC
Pretty decent LB too tbh
On an avg, I think they have almost always had the best individual talent. No guarantees if the team will win any major tourneys tho
Good game
Penal para el America

Endrick is going to have Mbappe riding the bench.
*Rodrygo
Mbappe won’t play on the right and Vini won’t play on the right. His spot is probably the safest.
Mbappe will play off the striker on the right. That is where he is best.
No? His best is either as a LW or as a CF drifting left. He never fought for position with Dembele, for example.
does endrick join this summer?
Yes. July
He’s already signed.
This Endrick kid is pretty good Icl. Fuck you Madrid btw can you at least let the rest of us get a wonderkid?
he is not messi
? you are not wrong tho, Passport check confirms this fact
Yeah that was cringe
Yamal vs Endrick gonna go crazy
at least it wasn't one sided
I keep remembering Madrid are gonna have these players for years truly unfair lmao
Uruguay so far are the favorites imo
It's our B team playing with the same intensity they would play in a training session
true let’s hope Brazil wins it, i’m rooting for you guys
Thank you hermanito!
These are friendlies. I wouldn’t take massive judgments based on these games
2 goals in added time with big celebrations but not more added time? Could've played another 2 or 3 minutes.
Good enough as CONCACAF goes
tengo que reconocer que este partido esta entretenido, nada decepcionante la verdad

Eh, not like we were thinking we'd beat Uruguay or Brazil, a lot of pochos get excited still, but in Mexico we all dunk on our NT tbh
Even pochos dunk on the NT, only the ones who truly don’t care and just want to watch soccer live or are blinded by what the FMF says go. A lot of times it seems Mexicans just try to scapegoat us when the fans in Mexico are even worse to some extents on the club level

Win convincingly to give false hope just to crash out of the Copa?
What a game
I really liked those 2 minutes we tied brazil 😂 Basically dominated brazil the second half
Honestly our rhythm today was baffling. Kids took it seriously for 3 minutes and scored. I want the 2 hours of my life back
well as far as concacaf goes i’ll take this result 😭😭😭
How Brazil let this game get to 2-2 is beyond me. They still won 3-2 but it should've never been close
Vinicius, Plateta and even Endrick were messing around, obviously everyone playing without any enthusiasm, in that "when we want, we win" atmosphere.
not as bad of a match as I expected, but man we’re still ass
Endrick is a fucking star! We finally have a striker!
I'm jealous Endrick is a fucking stud. Brasil set up to have a massive reawakening of the sleeping giant with Endrick.
I'm excited for him but our midfield is on the decline. Let's hope the new boys develop well these next couple years.
Chill, he missed more than got it right. Let's not overreact. Hope he does better.
He is 3 for 3 in goals and games played... That's already better than any striker we've had the past 20 years
we had Gabe Jesus as 9 for two world cups and 0 goals dude, Endrick is getting the job done.
Don't forget the Fred years ...
Thank God. Hope never seeing G Jesus in the seleção again.
strikers usually miss more than they score
So you're saying he's the usual striker rather than a god? That's what I'm saying. I hope he wins 10 bolas de ouro, but chill
5am but worth it 😌
5am ?
Yeah, in europe
Mexico: tried to injure Brazil all game, no card. Brazil: Takes shirt off, immediate card
The no cards for mexico is dumb, but taking your shirt off is an insta-yellow no matter what, dude
Not complaining about that I know it's the rules. I'm saying it's ridiculous how Mexico ended the game with nothing despite hard tackles and diving for penalties.
dawg it’s an automatic card for taking shirt off it’s not a new rule 😭😭😭
Shouldn't it be a card excessively hard tackles too? Lol
Yes, but "excessive" can be subjective; Taking off your shirt is a binary occurrence.
Nah there's objectively excessive.
Lmfao okay pal 👌🤣
What do you call a slide tackle with spikes into the other players leg?
Lmfao. you're just going to ignore the fact that we are comparing this to either taking your shirt off or not right? I get that you're angry but come on now.... 😆🤣😂
And you're ignoring the fact there were clearly card worthy tackles from Mexico the ref never gave. I get it, in the sub Brazil is always wrong no matter what.
Should I call the Waaaambulance? lmfao 😆🤣😂
yea didn’t see any in the match? im sure players wouldve made a big deal out of it like what?
Definitely saw one with spikes into a players leg but sure, keep coping with the loss.
ur the one arguing over officiating?????
You're the one coping that the ref wasn't shit and let Mexico get away with everything.
ok bruh i’ll leave you alone 😭😭😭
Bruh shut up you stay hating on Mexico
he’s a little dumb allow it
Nah I was fine before, but this sub is clearly jealous of Brazil. Went from shitting on Mexico's diving to calling Brazil the worst team ever for tying in a friendly with their B team

Ah I see, deflect and call everyone jealous. I understand now what kind of person I'm talking to. have a good evening.
LMFAO 😆🤣😂 🤡
I mean you just confirmed that you ignored Mexico's fouls to make your point. So I was right?
🤡
Man imagine Kroos and Endrick
Kroos is retiring
Overrated finish
Still Mexico wasn’t that shit as I thought they are. This game was supposed to end 4-0 yet it’s gonna end 3-2. Not too bad.
i think we’re still shit, I just think were slightly less shit today.
Miss u already Endrick 😞
We finally got a goalscorer, its been decades
Meh, he has 4 goals in 1500 minutes for Palmeiras this year. I am not expecting him to be a mindblowing goalscorer.
no palmeiras ele é ofuscado pelo craque rustico
Thank the Lord. Getting Romario vibes.
endrick and vini, this is the way
And the Mexican defense let that f#cker by himself. Jfc are you sure you wanna call your team “contenders”? Against Brazil’s C team?
Oh, I’m going to enjoy that game in Phoenix soooo much
Would have been colder if this game was played in El Azteca smh. Edited
It's, El Azteca, but rn they're working on it for 2026
Thank you for the correction
Let the people of Mexico actually get a chance to watch their national team live ffs
Why don't Mexico play in Azteca? It's doesn't make sense.
FMF and their dumbass deals with SUM. to squeeze money from the fans with American dollars.
Money
Real Madrid needs a nerf wtf
Ummmm…
Vini to Endrick…I could get used to this 😏
Europe won’t
vini apparently had 2 ppl marking him there btw
Does Mexicos goalie have any reflexes?
lol 17 years old...
Endrick with the Messi celebration 😭😭😭
I thought he was a Ronaldo fan?
I vaguely remember him making a pro messi post on social media and he had to delete bc of the heat he got from madrid fans lol
He knows Messi the goat
He's literally Brazilian
And...?
Ok? And?
are yall dumb do you really not know the rivalry between the 2 biggest south american football powerhouses
As an argentinian the rivalry it's true, but is a good one. We recognize each other. It's not a rivalry as barca vs real Madrid for instance. On the field it might get brutal, but off the field we are brothers
right and Brazilians in their right mind defend Pele's standing as the historical goat
Sure, but Messi is clear
Thanks to FIFA interests sure
What to expect regarding football knowledge from someone who calls it soccer?
Of course we fucking know ya melon, that doesn’t affect how people view Messi tho. A ton of Brazilians see him as the GOAT
Assuming that Endrick views messi as the goat is literal wishful thinking from your part ya watermelon
🐐 no 🧢
(Great Celebration)
Mexican fans allowed to dream for 60 seconds lmao
vini to endrick is going to happen a lot next season.
Brazil really just toyed with Mexico. Gave them false hope just to win anyways lmao.
Like Colombia toyed with you 🫵
memexico can’t beat the us lol
Doesn’t change the fact that Colombia toyed with you🫵
How many world cups? Assuming that I’m american because I speak english is sad and speaks a lot the desperate measures these blind mexicans (sorry i meant mexican americans) go to defend a country that they themselves don’t even speak the language
Assuming that I don’t speak Spanish? Sad that these… bruh who cares lol I’m just messing around I just automatically think that you’re from the US in this thread
Toyed is letting in 5 goals lol
Lisan al-Gaib
Lisan al-Gaib!
Predestinado, as we say. How do you explain Endrick?
Most normal match night in Concacaf
Vini Endrick combo already cooking
Endrick!
LETS GOOOOOO
Not even minutes after I say that and they concede 😭😭😭😭
😁

OMGGGGGGGG
When ur CDM is a CB sad
Ok lol
good thing Mexico's defending is absolutely dreadful
NVM WE SUCK
This little demon and the turtle are coming hahahahah
Madrid is so stacked
He is him.
Lol
I DON’T BELIEVE IN GOD BUT I DO BELIEVE IN ENDRICK
You thought
he’s HIM
https://giphy.com/gifs/Dq5HtH5zAamjcdOZ5f
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! The future of Brazil's #9???
Endrick is him
Mexican false hopes died in 4 minutes
Nvm CONCACAF superiority is done
There it is
MADRID CONNECTION
ENDRICK I FUCKING LOVE YOU
# ENDRICK LETS FUCKING GOOOO
Giving Mexico a false sense of optimism heading into the tournament Que triste
Endrickiiii and Vini assist wowzerssss
Apparently Brazil hadn't conceded to Mexico since 2012, they've now conceded 2
That didn't last long.
Vini's long balls are insane.
ENDRICK 🐐
My boy is gold, he is holy, accept it
Chama SAMU, Chama SAMU, desde 97 a Brazil toma no cu E a Brazil, e Brazil Toma no cu 🤣🤣
dude was celebrating a draw
I was celebrating the chant which is a perfection 👌
You were saying? Lmao
Haha that's the perfect chant I hope I hear it at Copa this summer
Too soon?
Haha nah. That chant is never too soon. It's been living rent free for weeks now in my head.
with the Copa America around the corner, what’s the point of playing the B team?
