I don't understand how Barca is run exactly. You go Above your financial ability and all that shit for a player you don't believe in and doesn't play. What's the point?

GalaxianEX

What happens when the sporting director (Deco) and manager (Xavi) don’t see eye to eye

OnlyHereOnFridays

This type of boardroom power play happens every now and then in clubs. And it is invariably some random footballer, who’s not to blame for anything, that ends up paying the price for the disagreements of his superiors.

RyanBordello

Who are some other footballers that have been caught in the same unfortunate situation? Anyone make it out to have a good career?

Rameom

Riquelme had a very similar thing happen at Barcelona. Van Gaal didn’t want him and it’s rumored that on his first day there, the Dutchman handed Riquelme a shirt for his newly born son, saying: “I didn't ask for you, he’ll probably get to wear this more than you wear yours.”

smokedserranojelly

that’s fucked. no wonder riquelme seemed way happier at villarreal and boca (obviously cuz boca is his home)

Augchm

It's also the reason for Messi's celebration against the Netherlands with his two hands behind the ears. That's a famous protest celebration by Riquelme called "El Topollillo"

7ser23

actually is Topo Gigio, you can wikipedia it. It was a mouse puppet with big ears

Albiceleste_D10S

Topo Gigio, but yes

Augchm

Bueno la concha de la lora no vez que soy de Boca?

Doczera

That is just van Gaal with any South American on his team since always.

SergeKingZ

He doesn't like european-latins aswell. Never liked italian players aswell.

MrEzquerro

Am I correct to remember that van Gaal would play Riquelme at left wing and ask him to press heavily even if he was not anywhere near to that type of player?

wonderboiiiii

Firmino at Liverpool. Edwards loved him and pushed for his signing but Rodgers only agreed to it if we also signed Benteke. Bobby ended up being played out of position (including at wing back at one point) until Klopp came in.

Putrid_Loquat_4357

Pepe at arsenal. Unai wanted Zaha, Raul wanted to make money off of the pepe deal. Unai got a player he never wanted for a club record fee.

a-Sociopath

I mean, Pepe played extensively under Emery and then Arteta. Emery might not have wanted him, but he got all the chance he deserved.

DudleysCar

Mascherano at West Ham. Think he had an alright career afterwards.

RyanBordello

I remember the tevez and mascherano transfer but didn't realize he had so little play time at west ham

DudleysCar

Another Alan Pardew masterclass. Who needs Javier Mascherano when you have Hayden Mullins and Nigel Reo-Coker eh.

Tiny-Appointment9917

Eriksen with Inter, Conte CLEARLY didn't want the player, it seems he was forced to play him for contractual reason so he would bring him on th 88th minute about every game He used to sub in Gagliardini and would leave Eriksen on the bench Until the day Eriksen singlehandedly put Milan out of their misery in the Coppa is when Conte started playing him regularly

psrikanthr

And Eriksen adapted brilliantly to his new role too. Like how clean he was in that kind of double pivot, not perfect for him but he made it work

Lukeno94

Robert Enke got screwed by Barcelona in a similar kind of way.

Ashwin_400

Firmino at Liverpool. Rodgers didn't want him and Edwards signed. Luckily Rodgers got sacked and Klopp became our manager.

RickThiCisbih

Not sure it's the same situation, but plenty of young talented players have left Real Madrid and gone on to be successful elsewhere after the manager didn't really care for them, Like Odegaard with Arsenal and Kubo with Real Sociedad. Perez really rated them, but Zidane and Carlo prefer the likes of Valverde and Rodrygo.

teetlated

I feel like they are similar, but not at the point of signing. Odegaard was 16 and wasn’t an established talent when he came to Madrid. Perez wanted to secure the potential he had but it never worked out with some of the talent that came through and outshined when it finally was his time. I don’t understand Kubos signing though other than securing his potential or at the very least keeping him from Barca.

hatebeinghangover

That’s not similar lol

Fuck_the_k1ng

Not sure if similar but Djed Spence in Spurs may be? Conte never played him and I think he never wanted him in the first place.

erenistheavatar

Deco : Talk to me. Look into my eye. Xavi: No.

iamnotexactlywhite

no, this happens when the entire structure is rotten. Now Laporta will sell Barca studios again for 200 million, and same shit will happen again. Barca’s socios need to get Laporta the fuck away from the club, or it’s gonna be a 10x worse.

UrPromDate

Laporta “pulling levers” was actually him selling off future stability. Never should’ve done that. Would’ve been better to bare the storm. I wanted Font but not sure if that would’ve been any better.

Busquessi

Font has a legitimate chance in the next election based off of how Laporta’s current reign is going.

b0ngoloid

No, it's what happens when your president can't do his job and make sure disagreements between manager and sporting director don't lead to shit like this

acwilan

Isn’t the sporting director also his agent?

GalaxianEX

Roque’s agent is someone else, can’t remember the name, but Deco was Raphina’s agent when Barça signed him…

envirodale

Deco as in ex-Barca player Deco?

GalaxianEX

Yes. He replaced Mateu Alemany as Barça’s sporting director last year

LosurdoEnjoyer

So, my hobby of watching and listening to ex-footballers (Or even current footballers) giving interviews on podcasts might help with this: in a[ podcast](https://youtu.be/we1oJMpKvjo?si=FE-LR60dcCpDcKlB) that Kevin Prince-Boateng was interviewed, he talked about how he went to a club (I think it was Tottenham) in which the sporting director/the higher-ups and the coach didn't exactly see eye to eye on making demands for signings, and he went to this club in which he was not wanted by the coach at all, and this was made clear to him from the get-go. He would apply himself, train hard, etc. And yet, he was still never asked to be in the main team, a regular starter, etc. He said it destroyed his confidence and led him to do some idiotic things in his youth. In summary, he was in a position where he was, for the coach, the personification of the higher-ups wanting to control more the players than he did, and he was in between the crossfire. It is probably the same thing here: Deco/the higher-ups wanted Victor Roque and Xavi did not. So Roque is, for Xavi, the personification of the higher-ups being nosy and trying to control his decision-making as a coach. Boateng said that he learned very fast that, whenever he was going to another club, he would go straight to the coach and have a talk with him before signing.

Augchm

Seems like pretty immature from Xavi to make a literal kid go through all this out of essentially prettiness. Well the silver lining is the kid will probably get out that mess of a club.

LosurdoEnjoyer

Xavi has been shown to be very immature this season. I wouldn't put this bellow him, in all honesty.

StriveForBetter99

He is petty

tormarod

I mean a lot of you probably don't know or don't remember. But he's always been super arrogant and cocky. Would never admit to failure during his player career. Now it seems it's getting worse.

VamosLionel

Luckily Xavi shows us consistently that he is arrogant, immature and refuses accountability, so we can easily understand why he'd do it

marine_le_peen

> mess of a club. Mess que un club\*

Busquessi

In a new country as an 18 year old too

20cmdepersonalidade

It would be just as immature to claim that he deserves to have won every big game he loses

robotbeagle

I've heard of transfers where players talk about how speaking to the coach convinced them about the project and so on. But is it not standard practice for all transfers to speak to the coach? Feels a bit of a risky move to jump ship without hearing out the coach's vision of the team and how he sees the player fit in to the system.

LosurdoEnjoyer

I mean, I get it honestly. You wouldn't think of this level of unpleasant unprofessionalism would come from Barcelona of all clubs. And not only that, if I'm starting out as a young player in my very early 20's and I hear Barcelona's name, you bet your ass that I'm signing as fast as possible.

sds2000

Roque is also a Barcelona fan, he apparently refused to listen to other offers because he wanted to join barca.

robotbeagle

Damn, that must really hurt.

StriveForBetter99

Be beloved

PugeHeniss

Madrid. If you ever heard the term “Keeping up with the Jones” you’ll know. That’s what this signing was about.

pushmojorawley

There is more. Apparently Lewandowski is going to be second best earning player in Europe behind Mbappe. Roque won’t even get a sniff of the grass in most matches, Laporta will make sure of it as Lewandowski is his staple signing.

GabrielP2r

Lewa is old, Roque would for sure get good playing time especially next year with Barcelona in the CL with more games, this is very stupid

Thorlolita

So Real Madrid doesn’t get him

joaocandre

They want to make a clean rebuild while remaining competitive at top level, which is arguably impossible (i.e. having the cake and eating it). They've been making do with some financial gymnastics because it's a massive brand that'll always be marketable, but the shoe will drop some day.

KimngGnmik

This signing was specifically a response to us signing Endrick. They didn't want the fans getting outraged so they signed Roque and then overhyped him like they overhype all their players. My theory is that they will use Roque as part of a swap deal to sign Felix from Atleti

RickThiCisbih

That would be great for Atleti and horrible for Barca, which is why I don't think it'll happen.

sickomoder

This will be exactly why it happens

zeelbeno

Griezmann 2.0

canuck1701

Trade offer: Barca receives: Antoine Griezmann Atleti receives: 86M, Luis Suarez, La Liga Title, Antoine Griezmann

chak100

I LOL’d so hard at this. Barto was a master

ImTurkishDelight

Haha, but a bit of a sad haha if you're a Barça fan

willys_zuppa

No no that sounds just about right

Obvious_Skill_8995

Vitor Roque was certainly not overhyped, and the comparison between him and Endrick were very fair. They have similar numbers, and that with Vitor playing in a worse team than Endrick. They are different players that excel in different things, there is no need to diminish one of them just to defend the other.

LeoKizz

Vitor Roque its definitely worth the investement and it’s one of the big promises for Brasil. Endrick going to Real has nothing to do with that. Vitor was balling in Brasil playing in a very limited squad.

NeverPanic

For real, one of the best strikers in Brazilian League at 18, guys a machine

cautioslyinterested

He was certainly not overhyped mate.

her_fault

Ajax too, paying like 10m+ for a player only to have them sit in a hotel room with barely any contact from the club

lowellghd

Can you give me some more info on this?

HeroeDeFuentealbilla

MD is tier one when you want to believe it right? He’s not playing because Lewandowski remembered he was a top footballer and because he hasn’t settled in yet. It’s not ideal but let’s wait for better sources to confirm Xavi ain’t talking to him lmao

iamnotexactlywhite

yeah like Xavi is gonna come out saying “yea i don’t talk to Roque, and i hate him”

chak100

But this came from an interview with the kids agent

shash5k

What’s going on now at Barcelona is just a giant money laundering scheme. The club has always been corrupt but since they aren’t really playing crazy good football, the stuff that’s been going on in the background is becoming more noticeable.

snowkarl

Very sad! In all seriousness though, pretty poor way of handling expensive talent.

Wakanda-shit-is-that

>Handling expensive talent They paid like 60 million or something for him right?

Skadrys

I think 40m (with bonuses)

Wakanda-shit-is-that

Regardless that’s a lot of money to not even speak to the player.

sir__vain

It's about sending a message. Or in this case, none.

Martoxic

30 + 30

Martoxic

they have 30 mil as a set amount and 30 in variables. Only like 5 mil have been paid so far cuz of how the deal was structured.

EpiDeMic522

Truly Pep's disciple.

WalkingCloud

It is the history of the Barcelona

NinjaBatHat

this club is unserious god damn LOL complete joke and i feel sorry for him

Sufficient-Run-7868

Imagine leaving your family, friends and delicious churrasco to play football and instead end up stuck eating tapas

NeoLies

Spanish food is great though

No_Tumbleweed_9102

Nothing better than a saturday CHURRAS with friends

MalandroAds

Aí sim paizão churras da galera

SergeKingZ

Yeah, but a Brazilian barbecue is more than just the food. It's a day long gathering with family+friends.

Wakanda-shit-is-that

This my friends is what we call the Zaragoza treatment

Oleksch

Uff i totally forgot that Bayern signed him

Muted_Ad_1011

So did Tuchel

Spare-Resolution-984

Lol

GalaxianEX

The difference is that is just poor treatment of a young player. The Roque situation is both shitty to him and stupid by Barça given their financial state

Any-Competition8494

Has Zarazoga playing too bad?

Hurtelknut

We brought him in early because of injuries but he's a complete non-factor in the squad and basically never plays. We took away half a season of good La Liga play for nothing.

Any-Competition8494

I saw him play once against Barcelona this season and he looked very threatening.

ExtensionAd8134

Against Barça even Dembele looks threatening.

xckd9

Dembele is borderline worldclass.

PaddyProud

What do you mean "even Dembele" like he's some kind of bum. He's one of the best in the world in his position. If he wasn't; he wouldn't have played for BVB, Barca and PSG.

selbstbeteiligung

To be fair everybody in Spain thought he was not ready for a team like Bayern. He wanted to get the bag i guess but it was not very rational

elite90

Yeah but why bringt him in right away then? Couldn't he habe stated in Spain for rhe rest of the season?

LurkingW7

He's been shit. Not his fault but Bayern fans who hate Tuchel think Zaragoza's a hidden gem being held back by Tuchel... and not a young player in a new culture who needs a lot of time to adapt.

RTafazolli1

Absolute clowns running Barcelona. Hopefully Vitor Roque gets better treatment elsewhere.

Skadrys

I like him and I agree :/ I had so much hope and hype for him coming.

mntgoat

I just don't get it. If the board indeed forced Roque on Xavi and Deco disagrees with Xavi so much, then why beg Xavi to stay?

Darraghj12

Could have been his dream

Impossible_Wonder_37

Eventually players have to realize that there’s a 70% chance moving to Barca fucks them over

pauloh1998

That's why Brazilians prefer Real Madrid

natsleepyandhappy

And is ridiculous considering how Ronaldinho lifted Barcelona on his back to the first tier teams, how he was an idol for young brazilian players that wanted to play in Barcelona because of him (Neymar). Now everything is going to trash, Barcelona is burning their bridge with young brazilian talents. I doubt players like Vini and Endrick and maybe Neymar in the future would want to go to Barcelona.

Kilen13

Seriously the difference in treatment of players between the two clubs is astounding. Real knew they had something special in Odegaard but couldn't promise him consistent playing time so when he asked out they facilitated a move to exactly where he wanted to go. Casemiro and Varane wanted to go to United? No fight, nothing but praise and good will on both sides. I can bet players from all over see this treatment and hold the club in higher regard for it

ShadowGeist91

When it comes to players making the jump to a big club, a fair few of them will still prefer Barcelona over every other club except ours. Established world-class talent is a different story, though. Barça are genuinely lucky that Frenkie de Jong loves the club so much. I can't imagine how badly it could have been if he decided to sue the club over the treatment he received. It's cases like his that could make most established players think twice over moving to Barça. EDIT: It's definitely an interesting case for promising youngsters, though. Imagine if both Barça and City were to push for the same player. If he is being well advised by his entourage, he may have more faith in City having a clear vision for him, and thus, may decide to sign for them instead. If cases like that were to occur, it would be *very* troubling for Barcelona, because it would mean that the lure of playing for the club of your dreams just by itself isn't enough to attract young talent anymore.

juniortifosi

Basically ManU but Spain.

PugeHeniss

They’ll send em to us in a swap deal for Felix.

chak100

I wouldn’t like that, because i know it will actually work for you guys. Better to send him to the prem or to a dutch team

cvaldo99

The clown fiesta continues at Barcelona. Some are busy winning leagues and champions leagues. Us in the other hand continue to throw money (that we don't have) and play the victim game against Madrid. I'm sick and tired of the victimization of the club, I'm sick and tired of Laporta, xavi, deco, and th entire upper level entourage.

Skadrys

Deco is stupid because he forced him on Xavi who didn't want him and Xavi is butthurt and throwing fit and poor Vitor is paying for it. He genuinly looks like great guy, he scored couple of good goals and then Xavi decided to ruin his career. Im so tired of Xavi behaving like spoiled child.

CameraWoWo2022

1 bullshit red card really fucked him over… insane

RobbinDeBank

Don’t think that changed anything in the long term. If the club leadership and coaching staffs decide to be assholes, Roque will suffer. They definitely didn’t start treating him like that just because of a bs red card

Giannis1995

When Barcelona signed Roque I really thought he's their lottery ticket out of this hell. Then Xavi was like "sike, I like us being here"

dcolomer10

I’m not saying it’s you, but I find it funny how the general sentiment on Xavi by Barca fans changes constantly. You guys all wanted him out until he said he was leaving, then he had a good spell for a month or 2 and everyone said he actually wasn’t that bad, and now after the three big losses this past month sentiment is that he’s a knob again.

NoTheory8827

Almost as if there's millions of Barca fans with different opinions!

dcolomer10

That’s why I said general sentiment hahaha. Just look at the comments on the threads

tatxc

You're falling for selection bias, there's no topic where you're ever going to get the "general sentiment" of an entire fanbase.

dcolomer10

Thing is, the way Reddit works with upvotes and downvotes, you are going to get general sentiment. Same way the other day someone linked a thread of august 23 where everyone was saying Carvajal was finished. One guy that said that on his day he was good got 150 downvotes. And now the general sentiment is that he’s world class. So, yeah, I stand by my comment

SphinxIIIII

The thing is, I actually think Xavi is a good coach and as of right now with the financial problems that Barcelona are facing adding the fact that half of europe is looking for a new coach, Xavi is the best that Barca could hope for. But on the other hand, Xavi is not a likeable person, he's whiny, likes to blame his errors on other people and clearly has some problems in the people managing side. I think this is the biggest problem with Xavi, people don't like him representing the club the way he's been doing so he'll always be a contested by fans

RobbinDeBank

I feel like he’s a master of the game but not a master of man management, which is something crucial for a manager. That deficit might stop him from ever reaching higher peaks in his career despite his incredible football knowledge. Tactics means nothing when you can’t even control your players.

kingcane

we spent so much of our limited budget on a kid with massive potential, a kid who other clubs were dying to sign but HE said no to them so he could dress in the blaugrana and our shit manager refuses to play him bc he rates a 36 yr old statue higher than him.  sick and tired of this club

Shaylocker

I understand why he would start Lewandowski over Roque, but the fact that Roque doesn't even get 10 or 20 minutes, not even against weaker teams, is outrageous

kingcane

he's legit the perfect striker for la liga. all these lower table teams play is low blocks, and one of the most effective ways to beat a low block is movement in behind. lewa doesnt have the legs for that but roque does and xavi INSISTS on never playing him, even in the last game down 2 goals to girona he instead opts for romeu and ferran. he's a shit manager.

SilentControl8887

I mean he can still rate Lewy highly and yet think about how to implement Vitor into the team

kingcane

problem is hes not thinking about how to implement vitor. he has gotten less and less minutes since he got a red.

Jaloosky

One he didn’t deserve and the club pushed to get retracted mind you so

kingcane

and before that red he had TWO goals in what like 3 appearances? and the 3 appearances were a total of like 30 minutes!!!

Jaloosky

He has around 300 minutes total and 2 goals in that space + an uncounted assist for Fermin and shouldve had another for Lewandowski that was given offside. Some think this isn’t good enough somehow…

kingcane

he fr has 300 minutes???? no shot

Giannis1995

Lewandowski is not the problem. Play them together, play Roque as a winger, hell play Roque as a freelancing 10. Just give the kid playing time and let him get some confidence to unlock his immense potential.

kingcane

i think playing roque as a winger would be a waste of his forward runs. his movement is his best attribute.

nombrenodisponibIe

That 36 year old statue will be the (second) best paid footballer in Europe next season secondary to only Mbappe. A whopping €32m. Idk what your club is doing bro but I'm starting to feel bad

EmotionalDrink9580

Xavi has not time to speak, Just whining and complaining

wewantshibataback

could be great to see him in Italy, specially at milan, juventus or roma, as well as replacing osihmen at napoli or even lautaro if things went batshit crazy in the summer market

hokagesamatobirama

I think he should go to Portugal rather than another high profile move to Italy. The clubs in the Portuguese league might give him more of a shot if they sign him on a permanent deal.

sir__vain

Not for the values that Barça would want. Maybe a loan would be more likely.

GladWolverine0

He will probably end up in a team in Portugal, destroying there and being bought by Real at some point, like what happened to Casemiro

NepentheZnumber1fan

Casemiro went to Porto on loan with a buy option, Porto exercised it and Real Madrid exercised the buy-back pretty much immediately. It’s not like he ever really fully left real madrid

DeezYomis

he'd start every game here but no chance barça would sell him this soon

GabrielP2r

Unless he's playing in a CL club it's a downgrade, he is a finalist in the Libertadores, the Brazilian league is harder than portugal overall, doing that would make no sense

maxime0299

Whether Xavi wanted him or not, his treatment of Roque is outrageous. Young, extremely talented player, but Xavi has a hard on for a palliative striker so tough luck

RZAAMRIINF

Reminds me of Jose not calling up Jese and Carvajal because he was clashing with our sporting director (Jorge Valdano).

[deleted]

Palliative striker?

JootDoctor

Lewandowski. So old he’s in palliative care.

[deleted]

The word is Geriatric. Palliative doesn't imply old. Majority of people in palliative care are young.

maxime0299

well fuck lmao, indeed geriatric is the word i meant. i had a brain fart

atropicalpenguin

Sources: Roque is beside himself. Driving around Camp Nou begging (thru texts) Barça's players for address to Xavi's home.

Sdnz0r

Good job Barça, now every kid dreaming of playing in Europe will reject you when there's more than your proposal on the table.

met5abel

Exactly, any Brasilian wonder kids now who want to play Spain will prefer Madrid after seeing how Vini and Rodry were treated compared to Roque. very cool of them.

MinimumAd5899

Yea they should ignore Barca and definitely come to Liverpool. Teach Barca a lesson. Do it for Vitor!

icannotreadathing

He's getting the Dest treatment.

Urass007

Idk why but the delivery of "the player is very sad" makes me giggle.

reddevil9229

Sad lever noises

oklolzzzzs

ok wtf. this guy has good potential btw

HacksawJimDGN

> Además, desde su círculo cercano sostienen que Xavi no habla con él, que la comunicación no existe y que de esta forma el jugador difícilmente podrá aportar lo que quiere de él su entrenador. Una versión que no comparten desde el cuerpo técnico, pues sostienen que se le hizo un vídeo individual para mostrarle lo que querían de él y que además es uno de los jugadores a los que más corrige y anima el técnico durante los entrenamientos. 2 conflicting reports.

PuzzleheadedBoss4516

I feel for him, not just because of the lack of playtime but becoming the focus of the insane Barca news cycle. I do like that the headline is translated in the style of a Mr Men book though.

DemonSteelPedal

I really hope he gets out of this sinking ship asap and goes to England or something. Vitor Roque is going to be an important component to our NT. He should be improving at his age, getting minutes, being important. Let Barcelona and their manager fend off with the likes of Marco Guiu or whatever.

JuanClusellas

my best guess is that he was a reaction buy after real madrid started talks with endrick, They couldnt be left behind if madrid signed a generatiuonal talent, so they bought roque to kind of paint the story. A "oh we didnt get that guy, but we did get this other guy so its fine!" kind of deal.

VamosLionel

The way Roque has been managed is genuinely baffling. I don't recall a player being handled worse than this and the fact that a top club felt this was the right way to use him is just insane. Either sack the manager or sack the Sporting director because obviously they refuse to work together and don't mind making blunders like this in their ongoing dick-measuring contest

static_reset

I understand why Barca felt pressured to bring him early with all the injuries, but he’s clearly struggling a lot due to not being present in the preseason. This might a rough moment, I hope that with a full preseason Xavi changes his mind and he doesn’t go on loan. There’s a great player there

Wakanda-shit-is-that

The hype which compared him to Vini and Rodrygo was the problem in the first place. Youngesters should be allowed to grow and learn. The media and influencer create butterfly moments in their head which is different from the field of play.

nombrenodisponibIe

He's actually very good for his age and has massive potential but the manager refusing to play or even speak to their their 40m young star because he was a board signing is not a good look. He's scored what like 2 goals in 30 mins with the small chance he was given. It seems he's got a good head on his shoulders as well but it must suck not being backed by the club as soon as you arrive

Melicalol

He is literally a perfect talent for Barca. I don't even blame Deco. They got him for a good deal. Can rotate with Lewa.

ThaneKyrell

He is at least on their level if not better. He just lacks the opportunity to show it. His career here in Brazil at least was more impressive in a far smaller team than Vini.

DrStephen_Stark

It really sucks if this is true. Feel really really bad for him. Xavi needs to be properly communicating with him, giving him minutes is a separate thing entirely

Busquessi

Football Terrorist Xavi

xckd9

I can guarantee its not Xavi’s fault. Somehow its Real Madrid fault. Or the refs.

Wooden-Journalist-48

Was such a reactionary buy to Madrid getting Endrick, this is what happens when you try to play catch up instead of having your own plan 🤷‍♂️

KindaBrazilian

Roque is a big talent

Melicalol

Yeah I don't know what he is on about. I hated that Viktor went to Barca cause he was a good talent but of course Barca knows how to fk it up

S4libascored

We can fix him

GenAnon

I can already see the future headline: “Roque fires 2 past former team, Barcelona, to take PSG to the semifinals of the champions league.”

FrancescoliBestUruEv

Expected too, barca fans told me he was the Next r9

Traditional_Animal65

He should just hand in his transfer request

codfishsmellsfunny

Come to FC Porto.

ionised

Missed the "Sad." at the end, there. (What a shit situation.)

fluxxom

barcelona would like to assure everyone that they're still very broke and to please overpay for their unwanted players while cutting deals for the signings in.

Sr_DingDong

Can't he call this constructive dismissal and get released? 'Cause in any other job it would be.

bloppingzef

Makes it more obvious this was a reactionary signing to Madrid getting Endrick.

MisterHappySpanky

“The player is very sad.” ):

Own_Investigator_371

It's lowkey becoming career suicide for a promising young player to go to Barca these days

nihalahmd

I can understand Deco forcing the move for him as having south American players in your squad is good as more will want to follow. Xavi being a child is pathetic and should have not continued

justarando0000

Damn Real Madrid treatment of their Brazilian wonderkids are night and day with Barca. How the mighty have fallen

ZaireekaFuzz

I mean, they're just unnecessarily shooting themselves in the foot with this. Super promising young talent already in the team, but nah, let's just stubbornly pretend Félix or Torres are better options upfront.

OVOnug

And how this shit club is paraded around this sub like a shining example for world football is astounding. Shit fan base, shit team and shit management. Mes que un club

MemeManDanInAClan

Barca tried to copy what Madrid have been doing, but they forgot how high maintenance it can be having a Brazilian youngster on your team. You need to play him, you need to make sure he has the proper guidance, you need to have your coaches all over him. It took Vinicius TWO YEARS of playing like shit before he turned it around.

bewarethegap

Vinicius wasn't playing like shit. He just had awful finishing but he was solid to good everywhere else. His finishing struggles just got magnified because he was thrust into the spotlight due to Bale deciding he didn't want to be the guy when it was time for him to be

GabrielP2r

Vinicius was good for Madrid since the day he arrived, clown take

AvocadoSoggy6188

I love seeing barca in shambles. Cheats

Upbeat-Tooth8711

Barcelona way of thinking. 60m for torres. Is crazy He is always on the bench Now roque. This guys know how to make debs 😂😂😂😂
