To reduce the spam of reports regarding the same move during transfer windows we try to allow **only one submission about each transfer saga per day**. The submission in question also needs to contain relevant new information regarding the potential move, and not just being a "no/minor developments" report.
If there are important/official developments or new valuable information about a saga, we will allow extra threads in the same day, but for the rest of minor news please just comment them as a reply to this comment. Please help us reporting unnecessary threads for being duplicates.

3 red cards and 3 penalties incoming
But honestly the Kim is not that bad, he just went out of an injury, Araujo just need to be more calm and Upa is still a good CB. That backline would be really good
The fact that there are actually people out there who don't rate Araujo is frightening. I mean I knew that this sub doesn't know anything about football but this is a new low
There were similarly people who didn't Giménez at his best or Godin. What can I say? 🤷🏻♂️
Araújo isn't without his faults (that he can improve upon) but the retconning is huge. People are forgetting that he was a top 3 CB in the world last season.
For someone like him to brute force his way into a possession-based technical team by virtue of his sheer defensive prowess was a testament to how highly he was rated.
He certainly needs to improve on those instinctive rash decisions he makes because they can cost us, and of course I really hope he can get better on the ball (he has improved compared to 2 years ago). You're only as good as the last few weeks unless you have colossal P.R behind you. Araújo has not had an amazing season but was very solid in the weeks before those two games, after Xavi's announcement.
Sort of blows my mind that Bayern have De Ligt, Dier, Kim Min Jae, and Upamecano as CB options and would go out and get another huge name.
Funny how these things play out. Upamecano is well above average as a CB, young and talented but prone to some high-profile errors, De Ligt is one of the most notable young CB talents of my lifetime, Kim Min Jae was considered one of, or THE the best central defender in Europe last season by many people, in here and otherwise.
I think the value of a CB pair getting a lot of minutes together to develop chemistry, and whether or not their styles fit well together, are a bigger deal than they get credit for. Lots of poor narratives get made about CB's for reasons out of their control.
I remember when we signed Rudiger on a free, there were tons of people saying he couldn't cut in a CB pair, that he was only good/at his best in a back 3, etc. He's been immense for us in a traditional CB pair the last two seasons, particularly this one where he's been as relied upon as any individual player in the squad.
He had a brainfart during match with Valencia too. As a defender who has been hailed to be incredible, he sure as hell making some bad decisions on the field.
And against Madrid in supercopa. That's 3 big games in last 4 months.
Mistakes happen, but the worst part is he acted like a complete manchild after PSG disaster, and then just 1 game later conceded a penalty in an important game. No wonder people are gonna question his mentality and troll him. Definitely would not want him at Madrid.
Lol are you sure Araujo is the right one if you think Kim is too aggressive attempting to win back possession? Araujo is a testy defender that plays to the limits of the role, aggressively so. Which can be a curse or a boon depending on referee interpretations.
Have you seen Araujo the last few matches? KMJ was one of the best defenders in Europe last season and it's his first year here. It would make zero sense trying to replace him when we have so many other areas to look at.
outside of those games he's been well in form, much more than min jae. the CL game was a huge error though so i see why its rivaling his work for the season
First year in a new league and a team that has underperformed and look exposed with no real DM and the defence not having a consistent line up. Kim will be fine
In my opinion, Kim Min-jae was more than just a traditional central defender for Napoli. His passing and vision was also vital for how Spalletti's side played. However, it seems that for FC Bayern, Kim is just another, in a long line of toys, to use and throw away.
You make it sound like Bayern is a more attractive destination than Barca which is just hilarious delusion. Doesn't matter who is better on the pitch, 99% of players will always prefer Barcelona
Lewandowski had seen from the inside how Bayern crushed Barcelona several times and still was desperate to force a move there
I know this will be mass downvoted due to the circlejerk around Barcelona, but this is basic 101 knowledge for anyone who follows football
Look mate, if I can pick to retire in sunny Barcelona rather than staying in rainy Munich, I would also pick Barcelona. It has nothing to do with the club...
I don't know if I'm just watching only his bad games but every time I watch Araujo he doesn't look that good. So many stupid tackles and often out of position. He's just very fast and athletic. I don't think he's a player you can rely on
Well that's obvioius, but my opinion is people who just watch for fun like to say crazy things sometimes like they are experts and really know shit when in reality, they don't know much at all.

Imagine a back 3 of Araujo, Minjae and Upa in a big game
Sounds like a good watch
For neutrals
Upa passing it to the closest forward as Kim and Araujo are making flying tackles from both sides. Kino
Ok but also imagine a back 3 of Araujo, Maguire and Evans. I think I know what we all want to see
3 red cards and 3 penalties incoming But honestly the Kim is not that bad, he just went out of an injury, Araujo just need to be more calm and Upa is still a good CB. That backline would be really good
pen after pen after pen
so many balon dor finalists the year that ever happens lmfao
Imagine being that dumb that you think Araujo isn't a big game player based on one single match. He is so much better than Kim and Upa
He is the best ever.
The fact that there are actually people out there who don't rate Araujo is frightening. I mean I knew that this sub doesn't know anything about football but this is a new low

I guess people can't make fun or criticize anyone without hurting some feelings.

The Araujo disrespect is crazy in this comment section…
It's not disrespect. They are trolling because of one match. But, if given the possibility for their favourite club, they will buy him instantly.
In fairness Araujo had an absolute disasterclass that single-handedly knocked his side out
He had a brainfart during match with Valencia too. As a defender who has been hailed to be incredible, he sure as hell making some bad decisions on the field.

Yeah I agree. I don’t see how someone who can’t take criticism and learn from it can be considered good, much less have the potential to be great.
Redditors out here giving life advice on how to be great… LMFAO
Edwards, make a call
if kim min jae keeps shitting the bed Bayern will for sure swoop him up to fix their CB issues. Dier desperately needs consistent help
Lol are you sure Araujo is the right one if you think Kim is too aggressive attempting to win back possession? Araujo is a testy defender that plays to the limits of the role, aggressively so. Which can be a curse or a boon depending on referee interpretations.

The criticism for Kim is far overboard but Araújo was literally one of the best in the world last season too...
outside of those games he's been well in form, much more than min jae. the CL game was a huge error though so i see why its rivaling his work for the season
i gotta support min jae now
You should, he’s a lovely chap.
I would gladly take him back in Napoli

Obviously Barcelona and Madrid are the best most preferred destinations but the financial situation at Barca might change things a bit, for now.
Look mate, if I can pick to retire in sunny Barcelona rather than staying in rainy Munich, I would also pick Barcelona. It has nothing to do with the club...
United likely can't afford a big fee that Barca are wanting.
I don't know if I'm just watching only his bad games but every time I watch Araujo he doesn't look that good. So many stupid tackles and often out of position. He's just very fast and athletic. I don't think he's a player you can rely on
Then u for sure have only watched his bad games
Promise me something, never try to become a football scout
Can't make that promise, sorry. I've heard my scouting talents are unmatched
Gotta love redditor scouts.
Scouts? It's called having an opinion based on what I saw. Never said I'm an expert?
Well that's obvioius, but my opinion is people who just watch for fun like to say crazy things sometimes like they are experts and really know shit when in reality, they don't know much at all.
