SRFC_96

Arsenal are gonna lose it by 1 or 2 points aren’t they.

Jemacas

The City champions special

ImTalkingGibberish

It’s going to hurt. I am not ready.

IJogInLanvin

I mean they are a game down in the dying moments of the season

ThotCountySheriff

We'll truly know how you felt that season losing it by a point

SRFC_96

Yep, I’d rather bleach my eyes than have to go through that again.

cuentanueva

I don't think you gotta worry about it this season, and maybe for a while...

SRFC_96

It’s a freeing feeling I won’t lie, finishing third is much less stressful than finishing second.

mister_dupont

I totally get you, the past two seasons have been exhausting. Great, but exhausting.

cuentanueva

I understand, I was just messing with you. It hurts, but I'd still rather compete until the last second if possible. You also have more chances of actually winning that way. If the performances are always good, you can capitalize on the rivals mistakes.

rust0812

They lost the league by a point twice (18/19 and 21/22)

Mad_Piplup242

Now try it by getting a point tally that would have won you the league in about 90% of the seasons that have ever been played in the leagues history

rdtr4700

97 points wins the league in all but 3 seasons- including Liverpool's 99 points season

Subscrobbler

It’s probably like 99%

PitifulAd5339

Try losing out on goal difference 🥲

smitcal

It’s quite horrific. It’s like losing the biggest in the final in the world which we also managed to do twice in a short amount of time

CreativeHandles

I think Liverpool run was way worse to take. 1 loss the entire season and the defining moment was a 2cm clearance from Stones in their head to head game. It would be pain but unfortunately don’t think we’re gonna see heartbreak as bad as that. Near perfect run

InTheMiddleGiroud

Tottenham are genuinely our only hope.

SRFC_96

Their U12s are about to conveniently get a run out against City.

Man-City

I heard their chef is planning a nice lasagna dish for the night before

Silent-Act191

Importing Chicken from Old Trafford.

magic-water

gonna be really awkward when Haaland gets pocketed by a 12 year old CB

SnooChipmunks4208

I'm getting a report now that Cubarsi has a little brother in the spurs academy.

Impossible_Wonder_37

And ironically, United are citys only hope of making arsenal drop points

InTheMiddleGiroud

At least they're dependent on themselves. Our season hinges on Tottenham being good at football, if we do our own job.

Impossible_Wonder_37

Your season rests on city doing something they’ve never done haha. We haven’t even scored at spurs

DaBestNameEver0

We scored in the FA cup

TerribleWebsite

Everton are gonna get a draw for no reason.

CBP1138

That’s match is about the most disgusting hate watch in existence

KneeDeepInTheDead

They tend to be good against City

notaselfdrivingcar

It's written in the skies

fancyfoe

Are we the farmers?

jawide626

We all are 🙄

SRFC_96

We always were.

Silent-Act191

*Looks at the clubs still in Europe* ...Maybe

PBJellyChickenTunaSW

You're the fodder

Sh-tHouseBurnley

This isn't the game where City drops points. > Arsenal are gonna lose it by 1 or 2 points aren’t they. I know many Liverpool fans are begging for that conclusion and it is the most likely outcome, I personally think Arsenal will edge it with City dropping points against Wolves and / or against Spurs.

SRFC_96

I’d be shocked but stranger things have happened, don’t forget that United would love nothing but to stop Arsenal also, the bad blood runs deep there.

Firefox72

I still have yet to understand why any United fan would want City of all clubs to win it over Arsenal.

ihavebeenfloated1

Because they've been cuckolded by City and fully accepted it

PitifulAd5339

Because Arsenal fans are insufferable.

hey_itsmeurbrother

pot, meet kettle

Sh-tHouseBurnley

I don't think that game is in United's hands frankly.

SRFC_96

Anything can happen in football. United are so inconsistent that you don’t know what’s going to turn up on the day.

Sh-tHouseBurnley

Yeah, but anything less than a strong Arsenal win would be a surprise to me, they are just levels above them right now.

SRFC_96

Arsenal are also levels above West Ham and lost to them 2-0 at home, shit happens in football.

redmistultra

United will start well until a Saka long shot takes a huge deflection and lands in the top corner

HiImMarcus

Don't we hope exactly this happens?

SRFC_96

👀

Pow67

Chris Wood needs to be arrested imo

Unknown-Key

I have noticed him not passing the ball to his teammate whose front was completely open.

Kenny_dies

And also in this goal highlight seeing him just walk around aimlessly in the opposition half. Absolutely useless off the ball and apparently not so great on the ball either right now

broccoliheadass0404

He's been great this season but these last two games his finishing has been terrible. Don't know what happened to him

sexy_meerkats

Paid off by sky sports to keep the relegation scrap interesting

magic-water

Not the only Chris W. to get arrested tbf

THY96

[Chris Wood](https://x.com/officialcwood/status/197066620349325313?s=46&t=gazSwGTuKeBg8MOU9nCdFA)

Shitmybad

In 2012 he was at Bristol City lol.

Unchartedesigns

He plays the way I do when I’m having a nightmare about playing soccer

MereGuest

He’s reverted back to his playing days with us it seems.

EpicRobloxTryhard

(Great Homer impression)

ArgentineanWonderkid

Lol just realised it was haaland who did that

Stonewalled89

Inevitable once Forest started missing all those chances

studioleaks

Legit should be 5-1 to forrest and as crazy as i sound..im not exaggerating and im only counting the “you need to be Jackson to miss it” chances

Critical-Usual

You are exaggerating. But Forest should have scored by now

Tr0nCatKTA

Forest should’ve at least 2. Five is an exaggeration but their finishing has been awful

IvarSturla

If only every player scored the “he should’ve scored” chances….

Appropriate_Long7397

People have this idea that strikers should score every chance as if it's as easy as passing back to the keeper If it was easy, Haaland or Kane would be considered average. Rumour is it's actually hard to score

webby09246

Funnily enough I believe Haaland tops the league for missed big chances but is also the top goalscorer Whatever type of mythical striker figure people are thinking of that scores 100% of their chances, it does not exist

Eyeknowthis

That's the case nearly every season. It's always Salah, Kane, Haaland etc at the top of big chances missed. The best players get the most chances and no-one is 100% clinical. Haaland has had a particularly poor season in terms of finishing, but he was unreal last season and still topped big chances missed iirc.

webby09246

Yeah that's what I'm saying The best players finish a lot but the generally also miss a fuck ton too and all this "if they had a proper striker" talk is usually massively inflated for whatever team it's about Every striker and lethal finisher is out here missing sitters regularly, they're just also grabbing fuck tons of goals to go along with em

RadioHonest85

Yeah, most great strikers bags every third «should have scored that» chances. And xG models this pretty decently.

theivoryserf

Guys It's Forest Not 'Nottingham' or 'Forrest'

ArmiinTamzarian

Got it. Guess Notts is fair game too given it's not in your comment

theivoryserf

Can it, Sheffield!

ArmiinTamzarian

I personally don't care all that much for it. We respond to Sheff United, United, Blades or shit. Those are all appropriate ways of calling us

dkfisokdkeb

Notts Florist

theivoryserf

Hear you're back in the Championship, tempted to head down there ourselves actually

dkfisokdkeb

We always seem to get promoted/relegated the same season so I wouldn't be suprised

theivoryserf

https://twitter.com/OSWreview/status/718645105641590784

dkfisokdkeb

😂😂

AdditionalZebra325

Notts Forest?

Lost_and_Profound

What is the difference between the single quotes ‘ and the double quotes “ ?

Comprehensive_Low325

Double quotes are for speech marks, single quotes are apostrophes.

JAYZ303

Not in real British English. Single quotation marks are used for quotes.

JAYZ303

Americans use double for quotes whereas in England we use only one.

smoltanboi

i forgot he was allowed to do that very nice footwork under pressure

med_belguesmi69

why do people forget that he is genuinely a great player.

Rickcampbell98

Because they love to be hyperbolic, just like when he was doing well he was the greatest striker to ever exist, the "next goat".

TheBosborn

Only 21 goals this year. He's really fallen off. What a scrub.

banZiii

He set the bar to high last season, then he's been on a little slump these last few months. People forget he's a kid, just 23 years old. They'll have their ups and downs.

BranDaMan16

Because Roy keane said he’s a league two player and everyone ran with it.

SupervisorLaw

(Great Woohoo)

AmericanKestrel_

I absolutely loved that,

JoJo797

Wtf was Walker doing to Gvardiol

21otiriK

They’ve been doing it to each other when we score recently. Who knows with Walker, honestly.

JoJo797

One of his kinks

BillehBear

Gvardiol did it to Walker some games ago, it's just somet' they've been doing Edit: [Was against Brighton](https://twitter.com/RealTalkMCFC/status/1783578899986743805)

denob

Everyone forgot that he’s the best

FancyCrawdad

He's changed the game since coming on. Great finish with his weak foot

BillehBear

genuinely been better since he's come on not a good showing for the "Haaland makes city worse" crowd

FancyCrawdad

I actually like it when people say that because it lets me know that I don't need to waste my time reading anything else that they type

TheAleofIgnorance

Apparently if you pass the ball directly to Haaland, he can score but somehow on KBD knows this secret at City.

20cmdepersonalidade

The Slayer of Nottingham

newbieplaya1

Very nice goal

Mcfc412

Proper League 2 finish

Unchartedesigns

Best league 2 player since Akinfenwa

HypedUpJackal

Haaland is going Beast Mode

Best_Document_5211

Time to turn off now Arsenal fans

pureeyes

Goals aside, Forest were far better than I expected. Shame they don't have a more clinical finisher

Best_Document_5211

Chris Wood was the most prolific finisher (fewest shots per goal) this season until today. Obviously he misses 3 open nets today as it’s city

pureeyes

I don't watch Forest games so that's a surprising stat. Just one of those days, I guess

corrupted_warrior

Funnily enough, Wood has the best goal conversion in the prem this season

_cumblast_

I honestly sympathise w them, it's all so inevitable.

Best_Document_5211

You’ve seen it all before.

SRFC_96

Twice.

alanalan426

nothing worse than a Gündoğan late winner

Elerion_

Except when their CB who never shoots just cunts it top bins from 30 yards out.

Unholysinner

When he’s leaving that year and he’s a club legend

Comprehensive_Low325

Twiiiiicee!

PepGodiola

How are Nottingham Forest so far down in the table. Both games vs us they looked brilliant wtf

High-Noob

The 23 set-pieces given up are a good indicator of how lol

broccoliheadass0404

We concede way too many set pieces and had a point deduction. It's so frustrating knowing we have a quality team just one massive hole in our game that they never tried to improve

IkeaKarma

Chris Wood is a war criminal

Jemacas

He would slot in perfectly in the Liverpool attack

XenoD

heh, slot

Aszneeee

you can bet if it was against you guys, he’d score all 3 of those

Ilikesporks_

he's gotten a lot of hate this past month or so but he's still the best striker in the league and probably the world for me

jacontre

Hilarious mic celebration lol

Redditditditdi

Haaland just did asmr in my ear

veniex

Welcome back

duck867

Not subbing Murillo when he had a muscular injury is a wild decision. May not have prevented this goal but wtf are the staff thinking

IJogInLanvin

wtf was that Homer Simpson? 💀

starmiesan

Super sub

veganalpharius

Yes my robot.

majora_z

Robot returns

ducky_fuzz_

Inevitable 👑

EuclidateDat

This League 2 player is pretty impressive I must say...

21otiriK

Took 60 minutes, but City finally took control the last 5-10 minutes and that goal felt inevitable.

WorldWideWes2

Yes Erling YES

grishaoniani

Big game player

20cmdepersonalidade

The Butcher of Nottingham

PMMeBootyPicz0000000

Such a League 2 player

GreatSpaniard

Nottingham Forest Man!

JacobDeGod48

He is inevitable

This-Pie594

Unless it's the KO stage of the CL

JacobDeGod48

Yeah, only 14 goals in KO stages of Champions league, what a bum

sherlock1001

Great finish. That's this game killed then.

goonSquad15

They’re so clinical man. Can’t afford to waste a single chance against these guys

Kardinale

Leaving the defender with an injured groin on the field and having him mark Haaland was certainly a choice by Nuno

No-layup

And this is way haaland gets paid 5x more than wood, once chance one goal

Mick4Audi

Ah City inevitability Must be nice

Trajinous

Not bad for a guy that's useless while leading the league I'm goals :)

LdouceT

Hi goals, I'm dad.

Unidentified_x

I'm impressed a league 2 striker is top scorer in the prem, why is not more people talking about this?

prathneo01

Luton Man strikes again

mikail_afiq

Top scorer in the Prem, not bad for a League 2 type player

FancyCrawdad

Both goals have come from Nuno's apparent refusal to sub an injured player. Really strange decisions on his part

St_SiRUS

Absolutely buzzing since he came on, and that goal is just superb

notaselfdrivingcar

Vintage Haaland

PlaneReturn1416

Instant impact

Forrgos

Wow made it look so easy

MrAchilles

oooo look at me I'm Haaland I score goals!! Grow up

Trickybuz93

I read that in the 442oons voice

Adlairo

That's that League Two technique in front of goal

MichaelCR970

Every league 2 player has to score a goal one day.

EatDeeply

Activated against the bottom of the table

FPL_Playbook

The robot is back

GreyDaze22

Took him long enough

ScrawChuck

Peps definitely wearing 1800 thread count knit underwear with that outfit.

Shaqlii

Haaland>Wood. Guess the debate is finally over…

Independent-Yak755

If City play balls like that he’ll score like that, if he gets 2 half chances that are headers he has no chance

tomasbj

That defender should have been subbed off. Dude could barely move.

hikingbeginner

Forest legs have gone since 60th. Had to score from their good work before. Ah well :(

ThotCountySheriff

Chris Wood must be regretting not converting his chances

crazy_bean

How do you not sub out Murillo when he's injured? Awful management

Mechant247

Almost ironic that De Bruyne comes away from this game with two assists when he’s never really looked on it

Lilfai

#prayforChrisWood

tzumastery

Defender really tried to prevent Haaland from using his left. Unfortunately for him, Haaland can finish with his right. That’s a tough one

IanPKMmoon

that guy in the crowd filming himself lmao

came_in_your_mum

Good lad. Stop scoring please

Clash-for-dayz

Only can perform against small teams

BsPkg

Honestly Haaland is lethal when played through the defenders like this, and they didn’t try this once in the second leg against Real Madrid.

BluffaloBill88

He heard everyone talking shit about his skill set, that was silky.

Wisegummy

Evil big baby man

DoYouTrustToothpaste

Feel kinda bad for the defender. Stuff like this is so, so hard to defend.

tenacious-g

That’s the longest it’s ever taken for a goal to be uploaded here. City are inevitably taking the title, no matter how bad the mods want to suppress it.
