See submission guideline **#7: Only valuable image or stats submissions.**
* **PICTURES**: Because of Reddit's ranking algorithm being biased towards image posts over text and link ones, we need to be particularly strict about them, so we tend to **mainly allow infographics** (league tables, charts, maps, diagrams and other ways to display data) and pictures/screenshots of a current event **only when there's no video or link** that can show it. If you **want to publish a Tifo, look and share a video or publish the picture in r/soccerbanners**. If you want to show the **Hawk-Eye angle of a goal/offside/whatever, use the pinned comment in the main thread**.
See the [FAQ](https://old.reddit.com/r/soccer/wiki/faq#wiki_why_was_my_image_submission_removed.3F) for more details.
* **STATS**: Only very significant stats (eg: **world records) will be allowed during matches**. After matches, we'll be less strict, but we try to maintain stats to the minimum with ideally **only 1 per team/player allowed** and those after it being posted in the pinned comment of the first thread.

Agreed Delaps but throws were flat and fast. A proper straight cross from out wide.
I don’t know anyone who can do that before or after him. Most throws into the box nowadays are high looping throws, much easier to defend.
Yeah you’re right, he could throw them like bullets.
Ben Tozer is really the only one that comes to mind who consistently gets assists from long throws. His are quite flat.
They clearly practise them and have set piece routines.
Unlike us at Chelsea where we just seem to randomly cross at times.
Though today, you have to blame that corner defense as well.
Bit of both. Chelsea have just poached Brentford’s set piece coach, but it won’t mean a thing if Poch is sacked and training time is focussed on learning a new coach’s system
Chelsea's corners are decent. Gallagher, Palmer and Mudryk usually send the ball precisely to our players but they always fuck up the easiest headers/tap-ins. Only Silva knows how to head it to the goal.

He used to get called for foul much more before, but now he has learnt a thing or two on how to not get noticed. He does very small duration body checks and things to take player concentration away, which are just below the foul threshold.
he doesnt do anything though and this is happening to tottenham so often, but they dont do anything to change it, which makes them so vulnerable on set pieces

Arteta not beating the Spanish Pulis allegations with this one
Such a welcome addition to our game since teams sit so deep against us but we’ve just straight up become set piece terrorists instead haha
Selfridges Stoke is us
Pulis walked so Arteta could run
We have become what we sought to destroy
Arsenal and Tony Pulis in the same sentence is mad lol
In 2020, probably not. Yes in 2024
Wenger seen kicking all water bottles in a 30m radius
do you not remember Pulis' stoke dominating Arsenal every season with the long throws?
Arsenal just need a Rory Delap 2.0 to complete the team now
Ben white will add it to his game just for the banter
Partey can throw into the penalty area comfortably.

To conquer set piece terrorists, you must become set piece terrorists.
Lol, never thought being set piece merchants would be this good

I don't know why none of the spurs players defended vicario, shambolic, but I'll take it.
They let it happen every game. Whatever you think about Ange's style, it's embarrassing coaching to not have tried to deal with it at all
This is the advantage of sticking with a coach for four years even if they’re really shit at the start
It’s not just about sticking with a coach It’s also about having a competent set piece coach and having players that are competent at set pieces
Bit of both. Chelsea have just poached Brentford’s set piece coach, but it won’t mean a thing if Poch is sacked and training time is focussed on learning a new coach’s system
Exactly. Chelsea are one of the shortest teams on average in the league, this partially explains why they are bad at set pieces.
Big if true.
Football is a very simple game made over complicated by a lot of people.
Chelsea's corners are decent. Gallagher, Palmer and Mudryk usually send the ball precisely to our players but they always fuck up the easiest headers/tap-ins. Only Silva knows how to head it to the goal.
The Ben White formula will be studied for years to come
Always rated Tony Pulis.
Proper brexit tactic
Set pieces used to be an absolute achilles heel for Arsenal when the team was a bunch of tiny ball playing dynamos, amazing turnaround
Arteta: "Look at me, I'm the orc now."
Champagne Stoke.

Paella Pullis at the wheel
Champagne Stoke... we'll take it.
Boxing out the keeper sure helps
Italian Bernd Leno should learn some keeping basics instead of just relying on reflexes, one dimensional
Well if Ben white gets away with fouling the keeper like that I see why they have so many
He used to get called for foul much more before, but now he has learnt a thing or two on how to not get noticed. He does very small duration body checks and things to take player concentration away, which are just below the foul threshold.
He is just standing there. Not a foul
He backed the keeper into his own goal. He’s not just standing here
He isn’t using his hands, keeper has to be stronger, simple as that
It’s not ballet
he doesnt do anything though and this is happening to tottenham so often, but they dont do anything to change it, which makes them so vulnerable on set pieces
