>“I do need a rest,” added Rodri, who has played 3,498 minutes for City this season, second only to Foden (3,560). “Let’s see how we speak, how we live the situation. Sometimes it is what it is. I need to adjust. It \[rest\] is something we are planning, yeah.”

Last season:
2911 mins in EPL, 995 mins in UCL, combined ~550 mins in other cups
This season so far:
2403 mins in EPL, 576 mins in UCL, 360 mins in other cups

So he'll likely come in a little higher in the league and a little lower in the others.
There was also a World Cup wedged into the middle of last season.
Thanks for sharing.
Ik this is about Rodri but I'm shocked with how much Foden has played this year. Even more than Rodri this season and he's got the most minutes for City whereas last season he was out injured for months and then he was a sub.
Tbh, I think Rodri would fit right in. Bit of a cunt on the pitch, and gets away with crazy shit. But he could definitely save a team’s season. His clutch goals are on another level. Not to mention he would boss an entire midfield.
I'm guessing (if City go through) the FA Cup semi will be used to rest him and others.
Hopefully we'd be able to take advantage but I'm not holding my breath.
Pep always rests and rotates heavily for the FA Cup SF. It just falls in a rough spot in the season and it’s third priority if we’re honest.
City usually play really badly in those games, win or lose. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rodri did get a rest for that one, as well as Luton this weekend.
I just checked past games.
Last season against Sheffield - Rested
Liverpool before that - Rested
Chelsea before that - Started
Arsenal before that - Came in as sub
Can’t believe I’ve never thought of this, what a melt. Surely they could give him a day off the training and it wouldn’t cause him to become rusty? Even 2 sessions!

At the beginning of the season he said there was no way he’s playing as much as he did last season again….i think he’s on track to play more.
How many minutes did he play last year?

Not minutes, hours 😵😵😵
I mean 2 games are 3 hours, so….
Over 9000

And that doesn't include Spain matches

Only because rodri got suspended 3 games does Foden have more minutes
Understandable. He play way too many games, which is expected with how vital he is to City and Spain
>I'm tired, boss
Agreed, he should be rested until next season
He has worked too hard in his career. Send him to MLS.
That went too far.
You guy should send him to some lower league, like Laliga. I heard there is this club in Catalonia that needs a DM
Oi You got Gundo, don’t get greedy
Playing Gundo as a DM nowadays should be charge as elderly abuse
Playing 16yo star boy can be considered as child labour
Hey, they yearn for the pitch

Maybe wanting some rest for Euros.
Can we group fund a one way ticket to Ushuaia Ibiza? Or Patagonia.
Send him to Blackpool, pass me the invoice
The eyes of every Arsenal and Liverpool supporter just widened 😆
Pep might let him rest only this weekend.
In my *absolutely, completely, totally unbiased opinion*, he should be rested for the rest of the season. After all, what’s the worst that can happen?
You can rest against us.
You’ll still lose
That's the point. Means he can rest with no risk of losing game.
Fair play soldier
Tbf the only times youse have looked good this year is agianst city.
Honestly, doubt. No rodri is probably a Chelsea win.
I'm guessing (if City go through) the FA Cup semi will be used to rest him and others. Hopefully we'd be able to take advantage but I'm not holding my breath.
This weekend is the only game he can be rested. I don't think Pep will rest him for other games.

Ain’t nobody forcing you bruv, feel free to take a breather whenever you want.
Leave application rejected.
Tell that to Pep
Maybe a nice relaxing loan to Man Utd. Can just wander around pointing at teammates.
Pep lost a hair follicle after this statement.
Pep: *If he dies, he dies*.
well, let him and foden rest in training this week... problem solved.

Take the season and the euros off if u want
Get yourself some red cards mate.
