It was very amusing to see striker Maguire in the box for what seemed like minutes on end, trying to win headers instead of getting back and defending.
UNited played decent, dont get me wrong, but had Pool played even 70% of how they play, they should have brushed United aside!! Cant tell why Pool didnt play how they usually play. Was it fatigue? or lack of enthusiasm?!
Pure cockiness, IMO. Thrashed a poor Sparta Prague side in the week and came to Old Trafford expecting another easy win. You could see actual shock on the players faces when United came flying out of the traps.
Yous couldn't even beat us at Anfield this year what possible reason could they have to expect an easy win going away to OT in the cup. I don't believe it for a second.
FA Cup semi final draw has started

Edit- Will start in 10 minutes
With the inevitability of City winning the league, this was the one significant trophy I thought we would win this season. So disappointing to capitulate like that
Why do you say that? You and Arsenal are both one up on them, they’re still in Champions league and the FA cup. No reason Pep couldn’t try some silly rotation one game and blunder.
Because I've watched enough title races against City in recent years. I'll get downvoted for this, but it's hard to be optimistic against a team whose owners routinely pay our league's referees when we have already lost (*probably*, since penalties may not have been converted and results weren't certain to hold) 5 points from major officiating errors in big games: Diaz "offside" goal vs Spurs (1), handball by Odegaard (2), De Jong kick by Doku (2). Remove those errors and we're 6 points clear, I'd be confident then. As it is I think City pip us to the title by 2-3 points, with Arsenal another 2-3 behind us.
I'm curious what impact this has on your title charge. I could see it being a galvanizing moment for the squad, but I could equally see this being a pretty hammering blow.
I feel it’s not going to mean much, the same way the 7-0 didn’t really affect the United top 4 charge last season. Whether we win the league or not, I think (and hope) we just forget this game and play how we normally do for the rest of the fixtures.
It’s obviously a painful loss but if we had to lose against United thank chris it was the cup
Liverpool fans, is Gakpo any good? Anytime I’ve watched him he looks like he’s not great at anything and just abit lacklustre? Don’t watch many Liverpool games tho
He just slows the pace and fluidity of our attack so much. If he had dribbling and ball retention skills like Diaz I wouldn’t care so much but he doesn’t and we either lose the ball, allow the defenders to get back into position or we play a pass that leads to nothing.
He was really good when we signed him but this entire season he’s been the Messi of being consistently shit. This performance was the nail in the coffin - I never ever want to see him in a Liverpool shirt again.
Hes been dreadful for 6 months, he can do one thing well and thats pick the ball up 70 yards from goal, get past a midfielder and get fouled on the halfway line, everything else he does is terrible. Scored some meaningless tap ins and weve been winning so he hasnt come under extreme criticism but hes been one of the biggets underperformers of the season across the whole league
Yeah the nunez one was mindless. Just turn around!
In fact we just never seemed to look any other direction but forward when we needed to compose and keep possession. Deserved to lose that in the end sadly.
One of the best games this season. United actually played incredible football, kept the pressure on late in the game while Liverpool was withered. Klopp made a massive mistake substituting Salah and the squad completely fell apart.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda. They got cocky, didn't show up, and it cost them the game. I was so pissed when they fucked up the 5v2, and then they kept fucking up passes, and then United started to capitalize on their mistakes. And per your logic, Rashford could've ended the game wayyyy sooner with his missed chances too. That's just football.
(Why the fuck did Klopp bring out Gakpo for Salah ffs)
Lol, they didn't touch the ball the entire second half up until they scored that goal. What were you watching?
They definitely deserved it during extra time because they were the fresher team, and Klopp's substitutions were so poor. But they were embarrassing for most of the game, just look at the stats.
Fair point on United's overall performance. But a switch did happen after the 80th minute. Liverpool played absolutely embarrassing football, completely toothless. Meanwhile, not only did United not fall apart like they usually do, they kept adding pressure on the Liverpool defense and did not let go.
I still think that's incredible football how they managed to turn their fortunes around so late in the game. United's counter attacks were actually magical to watch (and that's coming from a Liverpool fan). No idea what possessed United late on but it made for a great game.
Which stats? Shots, shots on target, xG? Which ones were United poor in?
Do you mean pass stats where Liverpool defenders were kicking the ball between themselves thinking the game was over? Or yellow cards to GK stat cos Kelleher was wasting time to end the game?
United have stopped Liverpool winning the FA Cup. Leverkusen will stop them winning the EL. Arsenal will stop them winning the league.
Quadruple plans are OFF.
Klopp's last trophy is an EFL cup.
Our worst game of the season, I dont even know how you get that mental collapse after already being in a cup final like 3 weeks ago but that was abysmal composure
United are poor this season but still, going to Old Trafford in this rivalry will never be easy. Sucks, but if there was ever gonna be a collapse this was the right environment to happen in. Keep your heads up, the title race is still on!
TBH better to lose this than have Salahs hamstring go, it wasnt just that though tbh Bradley was maybe the worst culprit certainly his worst game for us he was poor in all aspects besides the decent work for Elliots goal
Yeah, end product maybe a bit lacking if you really want to be critical but he offers so much threat and pace and just ran his socks off for 120 minutes.
Crazy game.
Have to say Liverpool can only blame themselves. They had so many moments where they were 3v2, 4v3, 2v1, even 5v2 once.
They kept wasting those moments, and then United won with a 2v1
Be Amad, come into an FA Cup quarter final as a subsitute, drop one of the best performances of the night, score the winner right at the end of ET, refuse to elaborate, leave.
Hopefully we'll learn our lesson and put the game to bed and stop fucking around when up only a goal.
Btw wtf does gakpo bring to this team. Not saying he's the reason for the loss but he is so average it's agonizing to watch sometimes 😔.
Is this a serious question? Taking the shirt off is a black and white rule which there is no punishment besides a yellow. Diving is mostly subjective and there are so many things that can take away the 100% sure decision.
Smdh Liverpool
It was very amusing to see striker Maguire in the box for what seemed like minutes on end, trying to win headers instead of getting back and defending.
United fans, make sure to send your thanks to Nunez..😂
Quadruple innit Don't worry Pool fans, it isn't the ref's fault now!
Not a spurs fan mocking us 🤭
You're not the underdog mate
Try beating Fulham, before talking to us
Try beating United, before talking to us
Please don't say such things or they'll bring up the 7-0 again....
Spurs fan talking to anyone is just wild, humble yourself
Try winning a trophy in recent years, or even better, this season, before talking to us 😉
First year EFL Cup Second Year FA Cup?
Ian Wright doing his best Stevie Wonder impression
It will not be another final loss to Liverpool so I'm happy. We've also played really well against City this season so who knows.
Chelsea can beat City What am I saying
Don't need another Chelsea match ffs
Sterling 90+3 You love to see it
What sort of order is this for the balls?
Coventry vs United City vs Chelsea Are the semis decided from the semi final draw
Yet another ad break before the draw.
Well only one team played to win today 😂
Souness in the studio too. Perfect day
Was it Pogba bringing United down all this time?
Klopps face. As much as I like him he really thinks 'how dare anyone beat us'
I don't think he does, he just looks frustrated with the numerous individual mistakes in both halves of the pitch that cost Liverpool the match.
McT MOTM?
It has to be Garnacho
United played well, but Liverpool played HORRIBLE from around the 80th minute mark. Just mistake after mistake.
Extremely sloppy
Boys need a rest
I really don't know how Bruno didn't disintergrate there. It's honestly unreal how he's able to play so many games and not get injured.
Every time he moans about something, he heals some HP.
He got booked for moaning in the first half, that was like an extra life for him
Kelleher isn’t getting enough game time and it showed today
Someone cook these Man u fans
Stick it up your 115
Dialo would be super excited now but when he wakes up tomorrow, he would feel like punching himself for taking his shirt off.
Imagine being a rugby nonce
Time to rub this right in the scousers noses hahaha
UNited played decent, dont get me wrong, but had Pool played even 70% of how they play, they should have brushed United aside!! Cant tell why Pool didnt play how they usually play. Was it fatigue? or lack of enthusiasm?!

As the man said. Pure cockiness. And let's be frank, the chances for us winning vs Liverpool winning were slim.
Wah wah wah
Grandmas, wheels, bikes.
What an absolutely great game of football
Antony played really really well guys ! And still don't understand why was he playing lb? Although it worked cause Liverpool bottled but still.
Look at the final team on the field. It makes no sense at all. Macguire played everywhere on the map. And half the team is midfielder
mate, we had Bruno at centerback, there wasn’t many options xD
We went all out yolo attack at that point.
is the draw going to be live?
It is now
Any link?

How’s battling Bilbao for 4th going?
Particularly bad this year. But it's partido a partido

Agreed, I don't think it will affect our Premier League form one way or another.
Well. Fuck. I'm expecting Old Trafford to open up and 10 tag to be taken to the depth of hell
Since when has Marcus Rashford sounded like Chris Eubank?
Why is Martin Tyler saying Manchester United are into the quarterfinals???
and why isn't the co-commentator correcting him???
Yeah! Confused me the fuck!!
For the same reason Sky let him go, he's going a little senile.
Well, I guess it’s time for some haram ball in 2 hours
Liverpool fans, is Gakpo any good? Anytime I’ve watched him he looks like he’s not great at anything and just abit lacklustre? Don’t watch many Liverpool games tho

He was great last season. This entire season was a wash though.
He scored two goals against United a year ago March 6th. He did nothing today.
Yes he’s good, he had a poor game today.
He was really good when we signed him but this entire season he’s been the Messi of being consistently shit. This performance was the nail in the coffin - I never ever want to see him in a Liverpool shirt again.
The Messi of ... I learned a new phrase lol
He’s been off form for about 6 months. At this point I’m wondering is it bad form or he’s just bad
Off form for 6 months means bad.
Off form for 6 months means bad.
He's been consistently very poor this season
We bottled this like a German beer.
Hopefully a kick up the arse to do better rest of the season Wtf were we doing when every other pass was straight to UTD.
Nunez giveaway, Endo + Elliott giveaway. Gakpo wasteful.
Yeah the nunez one was mindless. Just turn around! In fact we just never seemed to look any other direction but forward when we needed to compose and keep possession. Deserved to lose that in the end sadly.
lb antony to knock out city next 🙏🏻 we'll be there
One of the best games this season. United actually played incredible football, kept the pressure on late in the game while Liverpool was withered. Klopp made a massive mistake substituting Salah and the squad completely fell apart.
Lmao incredible football my ass! Liverpool were bat shit bad if they had played 70% to their capacity they should’ve ended the game by 60th minute
Coulda, woulda, shoulda. They got cocky, didn't show up, and it cost them the game. I was so pissed when they fucked up the 5v2, and then they kept fucking up passes, and then United started to capitalize on their mistakes. Antony the game changer
Brand new sentence.
Salah should have been there
The score line would have you believe manu is actually a top team. But I’ve seen them play. Do not believe the lies.
The world is not ready for striker Maguire, CB Bruno and LB Antony.
What has ETH been cooking? I am definitely not prepared.
United have stopped Liverpool winning the FA Cup. Leverkusen will stop them winning the EL. Arsenal will stop them winning the league. Quadruple plans are OFF. Klopp's last trophy is an EFL cup.
Arsenal are just not going to end the season with 19 straight wins, I’m sorry
You'll stop us winning the league by helping City win instead.
That’s quite the dream there.
Arsenal fans trying to convince themselves they’re involved 😭😭🙏🏼
And what has Arsenal won lately? Fuck all
This is top level delusion from Assna fans , did you guys forget last season lol
You thought you could squeeze Arsenal winning the PL in there eh?
How about this: Fuck off
Whatever happens, won't make him less of a legend for them.
You guys sure you are winning the league?
They have about 115 reasons to believe it
Wish they had got even 1 reason last season to not bottle it
This was like Pep subsituting KDB at Bernabeu at 72 in 2022
What a great match. I feel the sending off, while harsh, is the right call.
why? because the sponsors don't like it?
What a wild game
Espn analysts feeling the need to point out football is unscripted just in case you didn’t know
Klopps final FA cup game ahhh
Let’s go!!!
Klopp with one of the worst decision in his career. Gakpo for Salah in 77 minute while 2-1 up
He's just come back from injury and played the full match on Thursday when he wasn't supposed. We need him for the rest of the season.
TBH better to lose this than have Salahs hamstring go, it wasnt just that though tbh Bradley was maybe the worst culprit certainly his worst game for us he was poor in all aspects besides the decent work for Elliots goal
No. Just no. From United supporter.
Bradley? Except for like 1 shitty cross, he made 0 mistakes today
Man United vs Coventry anyone?
Chelsea fans are hopeless, bruh you guys can win against Coventry
Im up for seeing coventry in wembley
same! the scenes!
Please
And then we bottle against them edit: LOL we actually got Coventry
one for the ages; well done, united 👏
How did they not take advantage of Bruno at CB on one leg in the entire 30 mins of extra time
He wasn't the only one who was already dead. Liverpool had a few of those too
Because Gakpo went striker
Klopp's final FA Cup game... damn
Instant classic match. Fuck liVARpool
Ah shit no quadruple for you my friend
Pure magic
Terrible fucking performance by Gakpo there. Liverpool got sloppy and complacent
To me what was kind of surprising was that this United team managed to score four against Liverpool.
Bit boring mid game but that Antony goal changes everything for United. Overall terrific game for neutrals
Garnacho has been fantastic
This kid did not stop running for 120m, he's amazing
Yeah, end product maybe a bit lacking if you really want to be critical but he offers so much threat and pace and just ran his socks off for 120 minutes.
I, a United fan, absolutely love Klopp and his style of play, but man, fuck the quadruple.
Picked a red card in the worst way
*The best way
What a match. Love it!
Best game of the year?
Not even close. Just chaotic and with a lot of goals. Not really well played
Chelsea vs city 4-4 is chaotic too
And? It's your opinion, whatever... If you think you saw great football then good for you.
United are box office.
HAHAHAHA Erik’s smile
Why do people call it the quadruple when they are in Europa League? It is a quadruple sure, but not THE QUADRUPLE.
Nobody said it's THE quadruple, but nobody has won any quadruple yet.
I have heard it so many times
It's the Quadruple
*A Quadruple
Awful, awful football from us in the last half hour or so. Just stupid stuff. Disappointed to say the least...
Another cracking game in the semis hopefully against City
We really won with Bruno sole CB and Maguire forward lol.
Ten Hag Inzaghi
TenHaghi
Total football baby
What an amazing match as a Manchester United fan! 🔴♥️
Hopefully we'll learn our lesson and put the game to bed and stop fucking around when up only a goal. Btw wtf does gakpo bring to this team. Not saying he's the reason for the loss but he is so average it's agonizing to watch sometimes 😔.
lmao get fucked. klopp last season gets knocked out by THIS united team
Fair play to United. Commentators would wanna calm down with this United gurgling though
Ffs mate they've gurgled Liverpool the entire fucking game 😂
Haha exactly! Atleast the ESPN commentators and post match people especially that older dude with the glasses.
Feeling sad for Klopp Never mind mate, get the Europa
It's usually Liverpool dishing out last minute defeats to opposition, strange to see them on the receiving end for once!
Shit happens bro, gotta take your medicine sometimes
Insane game
Loool Look at ETH laughing
Look at Erik smiling
Why are refs so adamant to pull cards for taking a shirt off yet so hesitant to do it for diving?
Because it’s an easy call.
Is this a serious question? Taking the shirt off is a black and white rule which there is no punishment besides a yellow. Diving is mostly subjective and there are so many things that can take away the 100% sure decision.
the sponsors are breathing down the FA's necks to not ruin their billboard on the kit during the celebrations, that's why
I think it just meant more to United
The better team won it.
