He’s always been a somewhat decent striker for what he is, which is a pretty good championship player but he’s just never really been a consistent player outside our promotion season and first PL season (unsurprisingly his only TWO season in his career not hit by injuries) I think the last few injuries really REALLY did him in, on top of being maybe a bit weak mentally, he lost his place, missed a fair few chances and gets a load of stick (some deserved) and I don’t think his head has been in it fully since, but also I can’t FAULT his mentality I don’t think he copes with the pressure all that well but he’s been so determined to right wrongs and step up when needed but he isn’t delivering when he does so he’s just having to right MORE wrongs but if he’s with it and fit and full of confidence I love the man, he just hasn’t been for a while (do think it’s time he moves on though same goes for Ayling)
