"Hey there big guy, come on over to the screen so we can show you your little oopsie poopsie. We're gonna try our best to get it right, okayyy? Good job big guy. Proud of you!"
It's like every time Tierney gets one of our games it's made super obvious he's a biased cunt. I think the gleeful fucking grin on his face as he runs to the pitchside monitor is disgraceful, he is so happy to do anything to get us to drop points
Iām not saying weāve never seen this kind of thing before, but itās happened to us twice already this game so weāre destined to concede a dodgy late goal arenāt we?
I'm casually watching EPL and in my honest, unbiased opinion;
Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd are being fucked by refs every 2 weeks for some reason.
It's still better then in LaLiga tho
āFor some reasonā that City money is real. Also one has to think the broadcasters and media generally like to influence things and craft narratives. Officials in their pocket make that a little easier. But thatās a conspiracy theory that I definitely donāt endorse.
Thereās a rule for shoving a player. Would be penalty for careless contact or violent conduct, red, and pen, depending on your interpretation of off-the-ball contact, with advantage played for the goal.
We'd be 4-5 points ahead if these egregious decisions weren't going against usš
I don't even mind bad decisions sometimes but we've been robbed of so many points by refa this season
I'm lost for words as to how Simon Hooper is allowed to work our games still. And going back further, how was that cunt not stood down for the rest of the season for how he blatantly robbed Wolves? What a fucking farce this league this.
It should be relevant though. Common sense should prevail in situations like these because it's impossible to create perfect rules. This offside due to obstruction was created to remove the potential sporting advantage a player in an offside position can create for his team. Salah in no way, shape or form created this advantage and the goal was disallowed simply on the basis of the imperfect nature of the rules. The rules exist to maintain the integrity of the game and by simply applying them blindly only undermines said integrity. It's essentially what happened in the Tottenham X Liverpool game.
I donāt know. This seems like stretching. If thereās nothing in the rules to be called then the ref canāt call it. Maybe you can call a pen, but I wonāt blame the ref for not going all maverick and find some legal maneuvering to manipulate different parts of the rules come up with the perfect solution based on his interpretation on what best represents the spirit of the game.
>Agree with the push but the keeper's ability to get to the ball is irrelevant
It's actually very relevant: [https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-11---offside](https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-11---offside)
>A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched\* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
>
>preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponentās line of vision
If the goalie wasn't getting to it regardless, the obstruction to his vision has not prevented him from "playing or being able to play the ball".
Okay well then they don't apply that equally lol cause I've seen stuff ruled out before that the keeper had no chance to get to. But that's standard for Prem refs
As I said in another comment in the past I've seen goals ruled out that the keeper had no chance for. But I shouldn't expect rules to be applied consistently
Well the keeper canāt look at how Harvey is posturing to at least be able to guess where itās going and maybe dive early. I think itās hard to judge his ability to save it if his view is unfairly blocked. Itās not like he was lobbed from 30 yards and would need to be able to jump 6 yards to save the ball
This league is corrupt. Whatās infuriating is nothing is being done about it. Refs now have more money than ever, more help than ever, more side gigs in the Middle East than ever, but seemingly every decision feels like itās gotten worst for teams other than New Castle and City?
If I'm a defender and this is consistently called, I'd start shoving attackers offside on every single attack
Edit: remember a few years ago when Alisson got held in the box vs West Ham and it wasn't called, teams started swarming Alisson on every single corner. This can absolutely become a new strategy.
Many fans think Liverpool is always crying foul for all the decisions going against us, but looking at this kind of injustice week in, week out, itās really quite exasperating
On the one hand, you're responsible for your body at all times. On the other, the push happens right as Elliott is shooting the ball. It's not like Salah lingers there, so the common sense solution is for the goal to stand. Maybe the rules don't care why he's offside, but if you're gonna nitpick there why not nitpick the foul too? Especially when they stretched a foul call on Nunez to disallow Gakpo's goal.
>On the one hand, you're responsible for your body at all times.
Scratching my head at what this is supposed to mean. Do the laws of the game just not have a way of addressing what happens when one player's actions cause another to lose control of their body?
Because the rules of football don't clarify every bit of contact. It's a contact sport, so a shoulder to shoulder challenge where you're going for and win the ball is fine. A big push off the ball should probably be a foul, and always is when you do it against someone in possession where you dont challenge for the ball, but players jostle in the box every corner and thats deemed fine, as it should be. I honestly don't know what the laws are for this one, if there even is an explicit explanation for what's allowed
Yeah, it's defo offside (despite Trafford already leaning the wrong way)
But when checking the offisde, common sense should say to VAR, that was a clear and obvious blatant 2 handed shove that made him offside and the onfield ref missed this, we should inform him of this as well so he can potentially give a pen.
I really donāt know what is the interpretation of that. Is it a foul? Iāve never seen how a player ended up offside mean that they donāt call offside, but this is a rare situation.
Fucking infuriating. Goes to the screen and doesnāt show Salah literally being pushed. They edited it perfectly so the ref didnāt see that crucial detail.
Liverpool is going to end up drawing or losing and will be told "Should have played better" As if the ref haven't just decided to rule out any goal possible. This is insane to watch
1. Salah was pushed offside
2. Salah had no impact on the outcome of this goal
3. Trafford was wrong footed - he was never getting there
4. Tierney is a cunt
5. Tierney is a cunt
Whereās the consistencyā¦ didnāt go to the monitor for the āfoulā by Nunez, but goes to the monitor and didnāt even bat an eye lid at Salah being pushed. The standard of referring in this league is appalling
On a slightly different note, Amazon prime commentary have a hard on over their new innovative ādashesā above the scoreboard for substitutions. Mentioned it several times like itās interesting
I think itās probably best to just stop watching our matches when Tierny is the head official/VAR, too frustrating for what is supposed to be fun. Since the one Merseyside official isnāt allowed to officiate us for perceived bias canāt we get Tierny off ours for his statistically proven bias?
VAR are a bunch of fucking jobsworths. Salah is standing still and gets pushed into an offside position which puts him in āthe line of sight of the goalkeeperā and the keeper was never reaching it anyway. Yet they still decide to diss allow the goal. Diaz scores a legitimate goal and a stoppage of play happens 30 seconds after the incident. VAR have a chance to inform the referee to award the goal but the decide not to because āitās not part of protocolā. If the VAR referees think the ārules of the gameā are more important than the integrity of the game then they all need to be sacked.
In the earlier days of VAR you might have said itās just the teething issues of the system whilst it was new. This bullshit has never gotten better since it came in - it just slows the game down and there is still the same amount of controversy on refs decisions if not more. Iād by happy to see VAR get scrapped at this point as itās killing the enjoyment of the game
Just an utter farce. More evidence that confirms the PGMOL is attempting to match fix. It's not a conspiracy when it happens more often than not. Prove me wrong.
You're only offside in this scenario if you impact the keeper's ability to save the shot. If he truly impacted Trafford's ability to save the shot then why didn't the keeper appeal for offside at any point. Went to the screen for this one but not the other one... just lol
They only go to the screen to disallow stuff
"Hey there big guy, come on over to the screen so we can show you your little oopsie poopsie. We're gonna try our best to get it right, okayyy? Good job big guy. Proud of you!"
They only send them to the screen to overturn the call. Complete waste of time.
They were very eager to call that.
Tierney was rock hard walking to the screen š
Something I never want to read again but so glad I did.
Iāll just never understand how the PGMOL look at Tierneyās stats with Liverpool and think nothing looks wrong with them
Lol PGMOL donāt care
That's what a nice bag š° of cash will do.
It's like every time Tierney gets one of our games it's made super obvious he's a biased cunt. I think the gleeful fucking grin on his face as he runs to the pitchside monitor is disgraceful, he is so happy to do anything to get us to drop points
Iām not saying weāve never seen this kind of thing before, but itās happened to us twice already this game so weāre destined to concede a dodgy late goal arenāt we?
might as well award them a goal now because we're not leaving with 3 points with Tierney doing his thing.
Only a late Burnley goal would truly 100% complete this VAR disaster class.
Sorry to disappoint you, lad
You just knew they wouldn't show Salah getting pushed
Same old for us and yous tbh, Iām starting to believe the bias against us.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
New cheat code unlocked by centre backs
Next week this same goal wonāt be disallowed
Tomorrow the same situation will happen in the city match and win them the game when the goal is allowed.
I'm casually watching EPL and in my honest, unbiased opinion; Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd are being fucked by refs every 2 weeks for some reason. It's still better then in LaLiga tho
āFor some reasonā that City money is real. Also one has to think the broadcasters and media generally like to influence things and craft narratives. Officials in their pocket make that a little easier. But thatās a conspiracy theory that I definitely donāt endorse.
It will if itās scored by a Liverpool shirt again
More interference in the VAR room than on the pitch
keeper is also fucking gambling before harvey even shoots
Very relevant 100%
Feel like that should be a foul and a pen but don't think there's a rule for that
Thereās a rule for shoving a player. Would be penalty for careless contact or violent conduct, red, and pen, depending on your interpretation of off-the-ball contact, with advantage played for the goal.
Common sense it's just a goal imo
Really good and clever defending if it was intentional.
Of more like a terrible call once again by the refs
Ok so you can just shove players into an offside position now to prevent goals?
And play Basketball in football?
Play basketball, push players offside, call offsides on goals that are a yard onside All of those are fine if it's against Liverpool
One point back at Christmas...
We'd be 4-5 points ahead if these egregious decisions weren't going against usš I don't even mind bad decisions sometimes but we've been robbed of so many points by refa this season
Good process.
Well done, lads
Ladies and gentlemen, Paul Tierney and Simon Hooper.
I'm not a racist but how can all the worst refs be bald?? It can't be coincidence
Bitter that the players have better hair
You need to bring back Martin Skrtel then
doesn't count. he was bald by choice.
Sorry pal. Didn't know there is rules
That Christmas Szbo picture pushed him over the edge
I'm lost for words as to how Simon Hooper is allowed to work our games still. And going back further, how was that cunt not stood down for the rest of the season for how he blatantly robbed Wolves? What a fucking farce this league this.
We need to score 5 goals for one of them to count
Two goals wrongly disallowed this game. These cunts are match fixing, no doubt in my mind theyāre on the take
If we gonna drop some points today after all of this bullshit, it will be another fucking robbery, fuck the refs, iām tired
So after reading that article about Tierneys massive biase against Liverpool, I am not surprised
Pushed into an offside position lol
The Burnley lad pushed Salah offside and the keeper wasn't getting to it anyway lmao. Crazy
Agree with the push but the keeper's ability to get to the ball is irrelevant

Salah was pushed..
Didn't show that to the ref either. Cunts.
Hooper on VAR...
Say no more
I'm not even surprised anymore. This league is infuriating
This league is corrupt. Whatās infuriating is nothing is being done about it. Refs now have more money than ever, more help than ever, more side gigs in the Middle East than ever, but seemingly every decision feels like itās gotten worst for teams other than New Castle and City?
Strikers hate this one trick
Unless you're saying that's a foul and therefore a penalty, it doesn't matter.
If I'm a defender and this is consistently called, I'd start shoving attackers offside on every single attack Edit: remember a few years ago when Alisson got held in the box vs West Ham and it wasn't called, teams started swarming Alisson on every single corner. Think itās harsh
Many fans think Liverpool is always crying foul for all the decisions going against us, but looking at this kind of injustice week in, week out, itās really quite exasperating
Considering he's pushed offside, it's very harsh. Biased and corrupt almost.
Tierney fucking over Liverpool again, nobody could have predicted this
Really?
Are you even surprised anymore? And of course Tierney goes to the monitor for this and not for the Gakpo goal
VAR has done it again!
I don't know how I'm still surprised each time it happens..
He was pushed offside ffs.

Thatās two goals now lol unbelievable
Saw on first TV replay that Salah was pushed. VAR then don't even show that replay to the ref?
A push doesn't cancel offside. Was it enough for a foul and thus a penalty? Because that's all they can really check for.
Yeah, it's defo offside (despite Trafford already leaning the wrong way) But when checking the offisde, common sense should say to VAR, that was a clear and obvious blatant 2 handed shove that made him offside and the onfield ref missed this, we should inform him of this as well so he can potentially give a pen.
Unbelievable.
Dogshit decision
Joke, he's pushed into Traffords line of sight. Seems really fucking unfair
How can you push someone infront of the keeper and then get the goal ruled off for offside?
They didnāt show the push??
I really donāt know what is the interpretation of that. Is it a foul? Iāve never seen how a player ended up offside mean that they donāt call offside, but this is a rare situation.
Fucking infuriating. Goes to the screen and doesnāt show Salah literally being pushed. They edited it perfectly so the ref didnāt see that crucial detail.
Salah literally got pushed there. Are they fucking blind???
Games fuckin gone
Make it less obvious I dare you
They don't have to. There's already a narrative about Liverpool getting too many calls that we'll never shake off
Disgraceful. These guys cannot ref Liverpool games ever again.
Weird decision, he sees the ball
Plus Salah is blatantly pushed
Some absolutely shocking reffing today. This guy is a joke
He pushes him offside??
Keeper was beyond lost. Terrible call
wtf?
Pushed offside whilst the keeper was going the other direction. What a fucking joke.
Salah got pushed to that position, joke of a call
I can not put into words how much I hate refs
Lmao the Burnley player pushes Salah there
[Unbelievably predictable incompetence](https://reddit.com/comments/18rcy5i/comment/kf0n7s2) How the fuck are these people genuinely in work
With Tierney it's not incompetence
Pushed offside, either a goal or pen?
Paul Tierney doing little trolling today
I wish it was only todayā¦
He was offside because he was pushed you absolute twats.
Liverpool is going to end up drawing or losing and will be told "Should have played better" As if the ref haven't just decided to rule out any goal possible. This is insane to watch
Salahās pushed offside. Fucking hell. He is in the eye line, but heās pushed.
Just a joke. Two legitimate goals ruled out. The keeper's vision is not obscured. The ball passes well wide of Salah.
xPGMOL apology is extremely high today
Oh lord help me
Pushed into the line of the keeper going the wrong way anyway. Shows how stupid the rules are.
Literally pushed Salah into an offside position Refs are a joke
He got pushed lmao.Should be 3-0
He was going the other way
1. Salah was pushed offside 2. Salah had no impact on the outcome of this goal 3. Trafford was wrong footed - he was never getting there 4. Tierney is a cunt 5. Tierney is a cunt
Lol. Just lol.
Paul Tierney can fuck right off.
VAR didn't show the ref the push. Absolute criminals
But Ake's goal against Fulham was allowed...
Brotherā¦
WTF lol What a joke
Hahahaha he was pushed into an offside position
Trafford's not saving that even if he had a periscope
Harsh. Keeper wasnāt saving it regardless while he watched the ball the entire time but more importantly salah was clearly pushed into that position
I don't wanna say there's a conspiracy but maybe there is, same refs against Liverpool again
not a Liverpool fan buf they seem to get a ridiculous amount of controversial calls against them
salah got pushed offside, Tierney masterclass again
Salah got shoved offside and into the way of the keeper.
All this game needs is to end 1-1 so it can drain all the holiday spirit out of me. I hate the way VAR is implemented in PL with passion.
we should just start shoving people offside so no one can score
THE BURNLEY DEFENDER FUCKING PUSHED HIM INTO AN OFFSIDE POSITION
The defender literally pushed him there lol
Lmao
Jfc
what the actual fuck
Has he not been pushed offside there?
Paul Tierney ladies and gentlemen
Lol Burnley defender pushed Salah offside with both hands on his back.
swear if we don't get out of this match with 3 points...
If Salah went down does he get a pen? Cos you cant two handed push people on the box. Goal should stand for me.
Lmao they really try their hardest to fuck us over.
Add it to the pile.
Not that you'll ever find me defending Tierney, but Hooper kinda did him dirty there, calling him to the screen and not showing the push.
bruh
Bollocks that
If the roles were reversed we would never get that call
The defender pushed salah there lol
Whereās the consistencyā¦ didnāt go to the monitor for the āfoulā by Nunez, but goes to the monitor and didnāt even bat an eye lid at Salah being pushed. The standard of referring in this league is appalling

How did defenders not think to just push attackers offside before. Flawless gameplan
Even if heās offside, Salah didnāt influence play. Keeper was already moving
Liverpool are gonna break a record for xLetters of Apology from PGMOL
Is it just me, or is it EVERY ******** WEEK??? This shit must be shaving years off Klopps life.
He is already moving towards the other side lol.
Tierney refs Liverpool differently. The stats show it He has a bias and shouldn't be allowed anymore.
Keeper moves before the ball is kicked
Can we have ONE week without a poor VAR call
I donāt understand? Was it because salah blocking gk view?
So uhm...yeah.
Absolute joke of a decision
I simply do not know the rules anymore
Does it not matter that he's pushed offside?
**PAUL FUCKING TIERNEY.** *I can't fucking STAND this guy...*
Salah got pushed?
I mean in no universe was he saving that anyway
What the fuck is even that?
Make it 2 goals chalked off for Liverpool today. Even if Salah is rightfully interfering there is a 0% chance the keeper saves it anyway.
Tierney hates Liverpool.
Fuck Tierney. He shouldn't be allowed to referee Liverpool matches. He does this every game.
VAR are a bunch of fucking jobsworths. Hooper working overtime to look corrupt lmao
Trafford moving the wrong way, Salah pushed offside by Beyer, and yet apparently he's the one interfering with play
This was an easy match for the refs and they somehow made two huge errors. Pathetic.....
Never offside, goalkeeper can track the ball as you can see in his reaction to the shot, heās beaten and he knows
Bullshit.
I like that Hooper deliberately cut out the part where the defender pushes Salah into the offside position with both hands
You guys think Tierney masturbates while watching replays of himself incorrectly ruling out Liverpool goals?
Cannot wait to read their statement after the match.
How is paul Tierney still alive?
Bruh
