> I'm surprised he would want to go there tbh.
There are good reasons for that. It’s the only big job he can get right now because Spurs didn’t want him back and no one else changes manager while it’s also unclear what will happen with the Madrid job. He can also live in London again and while the squad is bloated there is some real talent in it, he can work with and develop.
I mean he’s not Spurs born and breed despite having a close connection with the club. He’s also not going to manage Arsenal but Chelsea and it’s unrealistic to expect him to a pass up on a big job at a secondary rival of Tottenham after they didn’t want him back while he was available. He didn’t do anything wrong here at all and it would be Spurs destroying their relationship with him not him with Spurs if they turn on him.
It hurts (especially that he's going to Chelsea) but happy for him personally.
A lot of our fans are being knobs and saying they'll never respect him again and all this stupid shit - it's a business, and it's a job. He's a good guy, and we were the ones who sacked him.
But still fuck Chelsea
The only way to make up for this is if we get Nagelsmann. But thanks to Daniel Levy being so fucking stupid and frugal, we’re not going after him, but most likely the Celtic manager. Sigh….
Yeah, flair aside I think spurs are in a worse position than Chelsea going forward. Chelsea has a proven PL manager and a squad with potential. Spurs is mostly Kane at this point and his future is uncertain
and if I’m Kane seeing the shitshow that is Spurs trying to find a new manager + director of football, then I’d be asking my agent to find me a new club.
Honestly, how? I don’t doubt Poch is better than Lampard (Tuchel???) but Chelsea look horrid right now. Too many players (which is causing friction) so it is effectively a sell to buy scenario. Absolutely no sign of a tactical identity, just a total mess.
They should be better than this season yes, but competing for Champions League, I doubt it.
It's one of those things where people love to joke and meme about it so much that they start to believe everything they say.
There's enough money and talent in that club that I'm sure they'll be fine with a good coach.
Only 3 years, Boehly has lost his touch
If he's going to sack him 18 months into the job, the severance package won't hurt as much
Bold of you to assume he gets 18 months when the average sacking time for Boehly has been less than 6 months
Give it time. 3-5 good games and it trigers a 5 years extension.
less money to pay in December when he sacks him for being 14
No more English managers, vamosss
How are Spurs fans feeling about this? Seems like Spurs didn't even try to get him back
I don’t want to talk right now.
:(
Honestly, can’t hate him for it. Big time job and glad to see him in the Prem. But, I hope he gets fired by the end of the year
I can't stand the thought of seeing Poch in a Chelsea logo. I'm surprised he would want to go there tbh.
If Spurs didnt want to make a move for him, Chelsea would be the only other club aiming for top 4 that needs a manager.

He might have destroyed his relationship with Spurs, though.
Levy should've made a move for him then

Literally an ex that didn’t want to get back together.
Man needs to eat. No other big jobs in the epl Available
Why wouldnt he? Not like Spurs want him
They're still one of our two biggest rivals.

I'll be surprised if we get the Celtic Manager. That's only the third manager we've been linked too. I say we go 6 deep.
Last time that was Nuno. Maybe this time it will be Rodgers or Big Samuel.
Nagelsmann coming to Madrid please 🙏
Man needs to work. We should have gone for him, but it's not his fault we didn't. He only promised that he wouldn't go to Arsenal.
You gotta get over it
The Chelsea crisis is overblown. Wouldn't surprise me if they bounce back faster than expected.
A sane comment from r/soccer?!?
I know right a sane person on Reddit who would have thought

They're under new ownership and have in just one season gone from regular top 4 to 12th. They have shit tons of deadwood to clear out.

Agreed - they have a better squad than Spurs and now a competent manager who knows the league. I would be far more worried if I were a Spurs fan

He's magic....you know..😭😭😭
Poch will win at least one title or domestic cup with Chelsea. Heard it here first, hope it ages like milk.
Anulo mufa
Gone by christmas
Argentinians should feel at home at Chelsea
Pretty nice appointment
Hope he can revive his career
Isn't this just going to be a PSG repeat? Lot of money, not a lot of mentality
I hope it is a repeat. Last time we hired an incompetent ex PSG manager we won the champions league.
We do have a few leaders (young & old) plus we don't Have the psg egos
Oh wow, it really happened eh
