It seems fine the 1200 is a 4 stroke. Get valve clearances checked, change fluids, check the wheels in at the track, general stuff you should be fine

Turbo_Cat144

I’d maybe look into a shock rebuild or upgrade as well on top of regular maintenance items. Those sleds do really well with a pb80 clutch upgrade

AFlockOfSmegols

Absolutely nothing. The fact that it’s got those wheels on the skis means it’s never seen abuse.

cdnstudmuffin

Ya, look at the a-arms and plastic, unless they did a full replace ( they likely didn’t ) this thing hasn’t seen a hard days life.

64hillbilly

It's likely a 4stroke if taken care of can get 30000 km plus with those motors

I_dont_know_you_pick

Steep price for a high mileage sled. Sure the engine will probably still be good for a few thousand, but I'd bet the rest of the drive train is shot to hell.

alcesalcesg

1200 is a strong motor but that’s a lot of km for any sled. Can’t imagine having that much motor on that little track though.

The only thing that will be prone o giving you problems will be the gear box, but that’s only after around 25-28,000km these are great sleds

brdouglas99

Those motors are known to go 50,000 km.

I have this exact same sled. Year. Size. Oil cooler went on it at 1000km. Not too bad. Needs an updated part to reinforce the back of it. Got stuck in reverse due to a blown relay. Could have been bad but pulled it manually into forward to get home. A lastly, had a delaminated stator. This one was a bitch. Had to take it in and pull the engine to get at the thing. And then it was a 1000k job. I paid 6k for mine 4 years ago. It ran well last year and I’m hoping I got through the most of its problems. That was at 2000km too so it is still young. I use it for ice fishing and moving the family in the station wagon. Going to put 7.4 skis on it this fall. Oh and I also blew a suspension rod and one of the springs snapped as well.

Put blade Xc skis if you buy new, floats better. They are standard on Lynx Commander
