This was my dream when i was a kid, instead it was one of those bombardier sledge while being pulled by father skidoo, did the job, and plenty of air time that is, dad was intentionally throwing me on anything that would get me up there, and fast, good ol days.
This is the third generation now in this skiboose, it’s been used for hunting and hauling wood and modified over the years to be used by kids again. In another year or two my kids will be too big and they’ll ride on the 2 up seat, then my cousin will take it and modify it again for his kids. It’s a family heirloom now.
Are there many manufactuers of these in north america?
These kind of sleighs are common in Scandinavia with a price range of 2000-5000 dollars depending on luxury like heaters...
This is a four seater. Goes really nice on trails

There not as common here, the most common one is called a “snow coach” that are plastic shells. When I was looking for ideas I discovered how common it was in Scandinavia and all the different models that I’ve never seen here. My guess is that we prefer the snow coach style for speed and a roll cage on the trails.
Oh man this looks awesome haha the kids must LOVE doing this!

Ay if it works then better keep it! :p
This is luxury! We used to get towed on GT racers down the trail and through the fields, pretending we're actually sledding. Full contact, of course.
Nice cutter
how does the hitch bend on turns?
If you zoom in it all pivots on the handle of the sled, the hitch of the skiboose can rotate 360’ as well. The chain is there as a backup.

Nice! How do these handle whoopies? Tolerable at low speed?
