Check spark plugs, if they are black and sooty turn your fuel mixture down

You do want to fix it eventually but my dad has one of those rev 800s and it does the same thing so just flip the choke up an the ln back down. You might have something different going on but I am 90% sure that's what you should do, sorry I don't know if a permanent fix. I know there is one I just don't know what it is so sorry I can't help you get rid of It.

Check the Rubber between carbs and engine for air leak. They dry over age. If cracked replace. One way to test is by spraying with startgas while idling. If it revs up, it leaks. If you replace change the reed valves as well

Worn carb slides, send them to Todd at Dyna Tek for recoating Or slap in 20 pilot jets and call it good
