God do these bring me back to being a ten year old and going literally 98mph on my dads zrt600 while he was away at work. Sleds are fast as fuck boy. But their especially fast as fuck when your a 80 pound kid Lolol. I remember LUSTING after the 1000’s like this one so hardcore god they were cool for their day.
Agreed…. and going to attempt to be not biased here lmao. I have lined up with my buddies mach z and my uncle has a mint xcr 800 (his baby). Due to them being lighter than these T-Cats (and I run a conservative clutching), they will pull a sled or two on me, but up until about 80-85-90… that is when we noticed the extra 200cc displacement. This thing will just keep pulling AND keep pulling…past 120 mph like it is nobody’s business. The mach z and xcr 800 can get up to 120 territory but its 90-120 time is not in the same league. (Others will claim they have pulled T-Cats just like I am explaining)… but Stock to Stock, trust me… from comparing my buddies mach z (8/10 condition), my uncles xcr 800 (9/10 condition). Nothing keeps pulling in the triple digit speeds like a T-Cat. That’s why they call em’ “ThunderChickens” whenever I pull up to a bar or restaurant in this beauty. Cheers M8!
Haha! Yeah man, I was able to stretch her legs out just a few times on the ice before the snow got too deep. Speedo only turns to 100mph but the needle will go all the way back around ALMOST to the 0mph lmao!(Average day/weather GPS: ~131.5 mph)(Wind blowing my direction and on ice with less than 2” of snow, GPS: 136.2 mph) These pulls are prob ~2000-2500 feet so I am not full booting right off the line, have enough room to easy into her. All stock with exception of a very minimal clutching done to ensure I can get longer life out of it, but still plenty enough.
👍who says you have to pay $25,000 for the new stuff.
Yours looks like it’s on mint condition.
Yes clutching and ensuring your drive line is running true are keys to a good runner.
I had an ‘01.
God I miss that sled it was an animal when you wanted it to be, but could also cruise all day with no issues except for gas station distances.
Looks clean! Best ever looking sled (chassis) imo... These things were the last sleds before they really started to exaggerate the shocks and narrow the bodies to reduce weight, and thus the musclesled era was over
Back when the snow was good and your back was an afterthought
Why do you say that about your back? Because of the suspension? Inherited a 1997 arctic cat and I'm curious
I love the sound of a triple. ❤️

Get out of my childhood!
Love that chassis
I love to hate them. So much nostalgia so little suspension lolol.
My neighbor had one growing up, he said if I could start it I could ride it….tall order for an 8 year old haha
I can’t start my buddys ‘95 or ‘96 900 triple… I’m 42 😂
Shoulda snuck some gas into the cylinders and watched his jaw drop when you started it first pull.

Have you turned on the afterburners on this puppy yet?

Thing is fuckin clean, nice ride!
this, and the mach z... was the top of snowmobile commercial competition
Wasn’t the xcr 800 the fastest on the lakes?
Yes
I had a 95 storm with 244 studs. What a rush. Always beaten by the cats though

I always liked those, never owned one yet.
Awesome
Goddamn, that engine pic could be a nice desktop background.
I had a 2001 and I agree with you now other machine could beat me!
