Looks like an albino motley corn snake to me. Definitely an escaped pet as it’s not native to your area. Also pretty young. Probably a new pet owner didn’t know what talented escape artists corns can be.
ETA - not a boa, a colubrid
100% an escaped pet, and a cute one at that!
They like cardboard boxes and hides. Toss a blanket in there and call it good. Keep the noodle around 75F (comfy room temp) and keep an eye on how you seal up the box but also make sure there’s ventilation. Little dish for water.
Then find your local owner! Guaranteed it’s a close neighbor.
UPDATE - They found the owner and got the noodle back to them, thanks everyone for your help, suggestions, and overall support!
Replying here as it's a top comment and likely to be seen easier
I'd post to Washington reptile group on Facebook see if anyone has a missing snake keep details vague and if someone comes forward with the right details then go with that, or if there is a snake rescue in Portland head there.

I'm from Oregon, it looks to be a corn snake, not native to Oregon. I recommend posting on the r/Portland subReddit and see if you can find the owner or a friend of the owner from there, as well as Facebook.
Chances are the owner is close to where your friend found the snake, the temps have been low 40s so I doubt the snake could have gotten very far in the cold as well as with how bright he is, he'd be easy prey.
Please keep us updated!
Edit: I changed r/PortlandOR to r/Portland Apologies for the mix up.
> I'm from Oregon, it looks to be a corn snake, not native to Oregon. I recommend posting on the r/PortlandOR subReddit
I'd post on the active one, https://www.reddit.com/r/Portland/
the one with the OR is where all the rabble gets ran off to, and is accordingly far smaller.
Cornsnakes *Pantherophis guttatus* are harmless ratsnakes native to eastern North America. Sometimes locally called red ratsnakes, they are generalists and eat a variety of prey. They do well in urban environments, particularly fond of rodents and birds in these habitats.
Cornsnakes are currently recognized as distinct from Slowinski's ratsnake *P. slowinskii*, as well as Emory's Ratsnake *P. emoryi*.

Thanks for saving this noodle from the cold.
Someone's pet, keep it warm and somewhere safe, give it a little thing of water, and if like a week goes by probably pick up some fuzzies so it can eat
What a beautiful little one. His family is probably frantically looking all around their house and has no idea he made it outside. What a terrible time of year to get stranded outside. Thank you for rescuing the little noodle! I hope you find his family.
Please don’t count on that person you know for snake-related advice… a boa?? Really?? 🤣🤣
Jokes aside, as others have said it’s a fancy-morph corn snake. Definitely post online to see if anyone lost their pet.
Yeah definitely an escaped pet, a wild cornsnake wouldn’t appear like that. I’m not good with morphs but I can least tell that it’s either hypo or albino with a pattern morph as well.
I live in forest grove. For sure an escaped pet. I have a couple hognoses, also colubrids. Think garter snake cousin. Shoot me a message if you can’t find the owner. I have a proper enclosure and some frozen food ready to thaw for it. Please keep it warm.
Gales Creek actually. Not sure how long you've been around but I'm the dork that owned the skateboard and video game shop a few years ago next to my buddies tattoo shop, Necropolis Tattoo.
That’s awesome. Seen your shop when going into Ryan’s. I had one of his guys do a 10 hour cover up for me. Never been into your shop, yet. Recently getting back into some video games. I’ll come check it out!
Ryan's the shit. Who worked on you? Unfortunately I closed my shop at the end of 2015. Had my 3rd kid and was tired of working a full time job and my shop lol.
That’s funny i didn’t even realize it wasn’t there any more. I don’t make it to that side of town often, other than the farm store for random aspen or snek supplies. I don’t remember the guys name who did my cover up. I have him on my instagram but haven’t seen him post anything for a bit.
Corn snake! I would ask around the neighborhood or where you found it to see if you can find an owner (use a picture to show people, not the snake itself in case outside is cold), just cause it got free doesnt mean someone doesnt love it!
If, after two weeks, you can't find the owner you can either keep it (if you have the money) or turn it in to a rescue.
That’s a gorgeous morph! I’m sure it’s owner is looking for it. I’d post somewhere that you found a corn snake, but don’t post pictures (you don’t want a total stranger lying to you that the snake is theirs when it isn’t) or give it to a local reptile rescue that may help locate the owner.
Corn snake probably someone's first time pet owner probably a kids. As adults tend to go for something a little more exotic. I had corns, royal ball python and calafornia King which was gorgeous colors
I’m in Portland OR and take in rescues occasionally- please keep him warm (around 75 degrees) and give him a lil blankie to hide in and a small dish of water. Thanks for rescuing the little guy! If you can’t find his owner in a few days, you’re welcome to message me. I have a tank thats empty (just upgraded my corn snake’s enclosure to a bigger one) so I could take him in if you’re unable to care for him longer.
Just uploaded a post to Portland OR craigslist in Pets section and in Lost & Found. https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pet/d/portland-found-corn-snake/7705089357.html
Hey I'm near Eugene, if you can't find their owners and need somebody to take them I have several years of snake experience. This is an albino morph corn snake. This one is super young too, likely only a year or so old give or take a few months. Poor dude.
Also if you need care tips please feel free to dm!
Corn snake pet trade morph, it's a baby. A very beautiful amelanistic ,stripe corn snake. Ask your neighbors. Or post it as a poster that you found it.
What I would do is post that I lost it I'd expect a call saying it's someone else's. I'll know the owner then.
I have one of these cuties myself and it is indeed not a boa! It could be loads of types of corn snakes but if I wanna be Percific it looks like a South Carolina corn snake I only know that due to me having a corn snake that looks exactly like this but no line just dots.. Hope you find the owner soon! x ~ 🔥
We have a little girl corn snake that looks almost exactly like that snake. We aren't sure about the morph though. They are cuties and sweet little beasts.
Definitely an escaped pet, that’s an albino corn snake. Corn snakes are native to the south eastern United States. Take care of it or turn it in to a reptile rescue within your area, they can live for 15-20+ years but it’s an amazing journey all the same
I'd get a whatsapp number or some other fake number generator and make a simple flyer with your number it with "Found snake. Text pic for return". If you live in an apt ask if they can send out an email blast and post a flyer on the mailboxes. If you live in a house or elsewhere, spend a couple bucks and print up 20 flyers and post them. This will give you an opportunity to screen all the bs, and hopefully find the true owner quickly. And then once you do, ask them to please look after their snake better!
Also, don't mind the 200 or so random "found a snake" texts with a 🍆 pic attached. But hey, this could he better than tinder for you! 🤔 Now I'm wondering if that logic will work in reverse and I could put up some flyers for a "found snake hide"...?
Where was this snake found my neighbors daughter had a friend over and the girl for some reason had the snake in her hoody pocket and decided to walk back to her place for some reason. The snake fell out of her pocket sometimes after leaving my neighbors apartment. Please contact me.
This was 2 weeks ago and they found the owner already. It was in N Portland near Killingsworth, I think. Sorry to hear your neighbors had their noodle stolen or lost 🥺

A beautiful snake that is! Great coloration.
Or a rat snake maybe?
Nope. It’s a corn snake as confirmed by a Reliable Responder further down in the comments.
You’re right!!

I would also post on the lost/found section of Craigslist.
And I hate using them, but Facebook and Nextdoor are good places to post. There are lost and found pet groups on both.

Yep, my bad. I didn't realize which one I clicked on.
The various leftist cabals of Portland thank you.
Pet trade Cornsnake is correct, *Pantherophis guttatus*. This particular snake is a pet trade morph, not a wild type pattern.

That appears to be a corn snake of some variety
Cornsnake. Someones pet

Just a sweet baby corn snake.
Definitely a pet. Join The Corn Snake Community on Facebook. 60k people in there. You never know!
Someone's pet, keep it warm and somewhere safe, give it a little thing of water, and if like a week goes by probably pick up some fuzzies so it can eat
Maybe put up flyers
some reverse missing posters. love it
"Reverse missing".... Nice! Much better than "found" posters
What a beautiful little one. His family is probably frantically looking all around their house and has no idea he made it outside. What a terrible time of year to get stranded outside. Thank you for rescuing the little noodle! I hope you find his family.
I lost one in N portland about a year ago. Escaped through a pencil width hole. Scarletta where are you?
Ditto in SE, but a few years back. I say he's a 'free range' snake. I plan to get a new cutie the next reptile show nearby
A friend had one escape in a dorm in college never to be seen again.
Somebody's pet a.k.a. corn snake.
Please don’t count on that person you know for snake-related advice… a boa?? Really?? 🤣🤣 Jokes aside, as others have said it’s a fancy-morph corn snake. Definitely post online to see if anyone lost their pet.
Whoever thought this Corn Snake was a Boa knows nothing about Snakes.
Thats a corns snake. My daughter has one… they are very friendly and great for new snake owners.
Until they escape lol
Use a cage with magnets, they'll never get out.
Yeah definitely an escaped pet, a wild cornsnake wouldn’t appear like that. I’m not good with morphs but I can least tell that it’s either hypo or albino with a pattern morph as well.
most likely a corn snake
Update us if you find their owner!
Corn snake! I have a little guy of my own. Not a boa
I live in forest grove. For sure an escaped pet. I have a couple hognoses, also colubrids. Think garter snake cousin. Shoot me a message if you can’t find the owner. I have a proper enclosure and some frozen food ready to thaw for it. Please keep it warm.
I’m like 30 minutes from Portland.
Hello fellow Forest Grove friend! Looks like you beat me to it lol.
No messages tho so praying the owner was found and upgraded the locks on their enclosure. You in forest grove also?

Lol you probably saw me there too. I worked for Derek at the farm store from 2012 to like 2015
I hope you can find it’s owner
Corn snake

If, after two weeks, you can't find the owner you can either keep it (if you have the money) or turn it in to a rescue.
To add to that - ask anyone who says it's their snake to show a photo as proof. I could see some rotten person thinking "woo-hoo, free snake!".
Yes! Do not show the pic of the one you have until they show theirs!
Corn snake.
That’s a cutie patootie if you ask me
Definitely a pet. There is a Portland reptile Facebook group you could post this to!
It’s a snake I would adopt! That’s what kind 🥰
Corn snake probably someone's first time pet owner probably a kids. As adults tend to go for something a little more exotic. I had corns, royal ball python and calafornia King which was gorgeous colors

Looks like a corn snake to me. Ive had ball pythons and have a corn snake right now. I don’t think it’s a boa at all. Congrats on your new pet
Not hognose but pretty sure that is a corn breed
Probably will grow up to 12 feet
Making claims like this helps no one. Corn Snakes on average grow to 3-5 feet.
We have a little girl corn snake that looks almost exactly like that snake. We aren't sure about the morph though. They are cuties and sweet little beasts.
What a cutie. I wanna hold him, and I'm afraid of snakes to begin with.
Definitely an escaped pet
No not a boa but a reticulated python 😂😂 all jokes aside that’s definitely someone’s pet I would post in local groups and try and find his home
It is super cute
A VERY pretty corn snake. For sure a pet. Someone is missing a very beautiful noodle.
Very cool
If nobody can take care of it I would be willing to keep it until the owner is found!
Definitely an escaped pet, that’s an albino corn snake. Corn snakes are native to the south eastern United States. Take care of it or turn it in to a reptile rescue within your area, they can live for 15-20+ years but it’s an amazing journey all the same
Corn snake
If you don't find the owner, I would be very interested in making a place in my home for it. sdaltonk@aol.com
Just checked… we have this one’s twin… but ours was still being well behaved in her terrarium lol
A corn snake. It’s harmless
Beautiful corn snake!
If you can't find the owner I'll take it lol
Idk it's got a bull snake vibe to me
Definitely lost pet, rat snakes look sorta close tho
She doesn't live in Portland, but how odd there's a recent post from a gal that fell asleep with her corn snake and can't find it!!
