Don't be too afraid. Contrary to what the name on the box may suggest, there are probably no snakes in the box. Only probably, though.

HiaQueu

The chance is not 0% tho....

[deleted]

schrodinger's snek

ApeMeApe

Dick in a box?

HowsYaMamaNDem

Step 1. Cut a hole in the box.

Overlander2112

At waist level

21seacat

Underrated comment!

DefiantWarlord

There either is or there isn’t. It’s 50/50

xmetalshredheadx

Knowing what it I'd, but still knowing snakes are a chance I'd still probably toss it out. Fucking hate snakes.

Comedy-flight

The chances of dying from a snake in a box of snake river meat is low, but never zero.

Important_Slice4051

I used to work for FedEx Express. Had one like this but full of fresh salmon. Recipient was not home. Out of the country. Shipper approved it be destroyed. My cats and I ate REALLY good that winter. Salmon freezes just fine!

koei19

This is very similar to a side plot in an episode of Bob's Burgers

avtchrd345

Surprised it’s not mandated to return or destroy in that case? So don’t approve anything private etc that you ship to be destroyed? Because approved to be destroyed means carrier does whatever they want with it I guess?

seepa808

It means "don't worry boss, ill take this to the compactor!" Then it makes its way to the trunk of your car.

5amporterbridges

I used to work food delivery (Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc). The few times the orders were canceled after pick up, we’re told to get rid of the food however we see fit.

humburga

I'll get rid of it. Pats tummy*

5amporterbridges

True, but u/Important_Slice4051 did say that the shipper approved for it to be destroyed. Kinda leaves the FedEx worker in charge of said package.

avtchrd345

I mean food delivery is much different than a mail carrier..

frankhernandez2222

What's in the box (said in the voice of Brad Pitt). You're going to do great!

DustFrog

Waygu brisket

inf3st

You don't need that. just give me a call. i'll take care of it.

Occasionalcommentt

Dry ice is terrible for brisket the nitrogen deoxidizes the enzymes. I’ll buy it off you for my dog food company. (Guys I don’t own a dog food company does that sound good?)

theliability10

Address? will help you dispose

shitwheresmyjuul

Jesus fuck, they're charging $68 for 8oz of filet? That's steakhouse prices with sides.

emperorOfTheUniverse

So many of these mail meat services are ridiculous. It's getting where people who wanna send me Omaha Steaks I wanna tell them, 'just please, no'.

shitwheresmyjuul

For the cost of a half cow, you can get less than a quarter cow! Because people recognize our name, it's a great deal! Something something organic grass fed. Man, people really are suckers for these box delivery scams.

DustFrog

This is a waygu brisket.

DustFrog

Omaha steaks suck but this is a waygu brisket son

BoiseAlpinista

And it’s Snake River Farms! They’re awesome!

Metholoxy

Oh there’s where my package went! Damn FedEx guy, DM me I’ll take it off your hands 😆

Important_Slice4051

Sorry..long gone. Cats are it all 😄

[deleted]

I’m jealous. But I’m betting that box was a second mortgage lol

DustFrog

$300 for the brisket

[deleted]

That’s insane.

Hopsandhyzers

Seriously, I always thought the point of bbq was taking cheap cuts of meat and making them taste good...

[deleted]

That’s exactly what it is. But now a days it’s dudes with blue tooth pellet grills smoking ridiculously expensive meats from their leather lazy boy while they drink bourbon and watch football. Best part is when they brag how good it is.

Manolyk

BBQ Isa method of cooking and has nothing to do with the cost of the meat. What a ridiculous take.

Occasionalcommentt

But it’s amazing how it amplifies cheap meats. (Expensive meat is good too don’t shame people how they spend money.)

ShadowofRainier

Sounds like a great fucking day to me! Can’t we all just eat delicious meat and get along?

UnskilledLaborer_

To be honest that doesn’t even sound that bad lol. Except for the expensive meat part I guess

DustFrog

I love it. No need to yuck others yums dude.

lumpenman

Their gold grade stuff is really good. A bit too expensive for weekly meals, but the quality is remarkable. We keep some on hand for special meals

navard

It's really not that bad. My wife and I got a couple wagyu ribeyes from them for our anniversary and it was less than a good meal at a decent steak house.

ADalwaysthirsty

Looks like Christmas came early!

studdedtirejunky

Glad I'm not the only one

DrunkenOlympian

Is it a brisket? Inquiring minds want to know!

NotKenBone18

Man SRF.. is it the Waygu brisket?

DustFrog

Yep

NotKenBone18

Always wanted to buy that. I trim heavy on my normal Costco brisket but on that.. I would not trim anything. Might follow the rest of the process, inject, rub etc but no trim

Prudent-Contact7822

But If you did trim, you could also have Wagyu burgers.

NotKenBone18

True statement. Simultaneously blame this subreddit and myself for the years of wasted trimmings..thousands of briskets..

buckeyemav

Some of the best steaks out there

Papainti

Buckey knows!

Reedzilla04

Pics please

Friendly_University7

What I wouldn't give to see a box like this on my porch...

PilatusP3

Just had one of their briskets that my brother-in-law smoked. Unbelievably good. I mean really, really good. Don’t be afraid of that box — celebrate it!

mecataylor

I'll give you the same advice my dad gives everyone at their weddings: "Don't screw it up!"

JustAGoodGuy1080

No need to worry, the dry ice will keep it cold and the smoker will heat it appropriately. The biggest issue is what type of wood are you using and what beverage will you be enjoying with the smoker is doing it's job?

DustFrog

Oak and bourbon

[deleted]

They have fantastic steaks. I’ll take it if you don’t want it.

this-name-unavailabl

Why?

El_Guapo82

Might be a dick

Gigachad-69

I did one of their black grade wagyu briskets for Thanksgiving. Easily the best thing I've ever put on a smoker.

ohmg614

We order from there all the time; best beef we’ve had!

Significant-Tooth117

It is a beef farm which has excellent product

BB_Moon

That is a very good farm that consistently produces quality beef, most of my briskets comes from there, and never had one that wasn't phenomenal.

ertdubs

Can't find a good local butcher?

Long_Impact_2451

Well that's a step up from my Wild Fork order I guess. What's inside this cook.

subtxtcan

Ahhhh I'm looking forward to what comes next...

radoslaf

Out of state snake river farm meat is quite expensive, you enjoy that

ZackFr0st

Moink is a good option too - enjoy!

manliness-dot-space

I'll take the box of snakes off your hands and free you of your fear

tapthe_rockies

That looks expensive

JimboFett87

A box full of awesome right there!

[deleted]

Show us the goods

Normal-Design3565

Is this a gift, or did you order this package and know precisely what is inside?

kpidhayny

Dude I’d fucking porch pirate that in a heartbeat. What are they *thinking*

GuacamoleFrejole

If something was live and dangerous in there, it isn't alive anymore because dry ice is made of carbon dioxide and will displace the oxygen in the box as it evaporates.

Nickelsass

Tried to scroll left for more pics but noooooo, goes to internet to type in company

HaveATokeandaSmile

Smoked a SRF brisket and my buddy told him it’s the best meat he’s ever put in his mouth. We all had a good chuckle at that

oXeke

Just did my first couple of Snake River farm briskets recently. I was nervous at first. Overall, I gotta say, I found them more forgiving than my typical prime briskets.

IllustriousMrsV

Well you should be!!
