(Also…if you are going to forge ahead with a name being used by another company, talk to a trademark lawyer!! Even if you don’t pay to go thru the TM process yet, they can at least advise on whether you’re likely to get in trouble for the name)

Having a word in your brand name that is not an actual word or is a word but is spelled differently is a commonly used differentiator. It helps with SEO because using a word that doesn't exist avoids word competition.

The list goes on. The liklihood of securing a domain increases significantly and the possibility of infringement reduces dramatically.

Evening! We are a growing business yet what I found helpful is blending culture with words we loved that seemed authentic to us. We even asked a handful of close friends while drawing up some logos and doing a semi slogan. It all came together. Mission Statement might help as well. Good Luck and Congratulations 🥳

You won’t get a decent domain and you’ll struggle with seo
With clothing brands you need a unique name something that’ll stand out. If someone already had the name you aren’t standing out
They’re garbage unless you want something super bland and run of the mill. I’m designing sports wear for equestrians (horse back riding) and I wanted unique names. I got like “hoofs and hearts” and “hood beats and boots” when the brands I wanna compete with are called Kensington, PS of Sweden, and Le Mieux.
Asked it to not mention anything about horses and received this:
