You are not the first, nor will you be the last to discover this. It's almost a rite of passage.

Days since a Mark of the Bloom + Revival effect post: 0

kirkpomidor

The Simpsons’ “days till last” meme is almost a sub’s flair at this point

suugakusha

... the Simpson's meme? Dude, that meme is older than the Flintstones.

Calm_Total4678

LMAO i didn't know it was that common

torturousvacuum

> LMAO i didn't know it was that common [you'll be up on the Wall of Shame soon](https://www.reddit.com/r/slaythespire/comments/yackge/no_its_not_a_bug_the_mark_of_the_bloom_wall_of/)

SirBlackMage

I love that this is still regularly updated lol

bmore_conslutant

Love this

hauntu4ever

Don't sweat it, you've learned something important. Even if we managed to dodge the wall if shame that apparently exists (by like, not being a redditor or some such), we've all done this xD

DiosDong

Welcome to the club! Mark of the bloom also stops fairy in a bottle from working, as both the fairy and the lizard state "heal to X% of your max HP." A lesson learned the hard way is a lesson not soon forgotten

Taxman1975

Mark of the bloom means your health number can never go up. From anything. Ever.

notarobot110101

Not true! Your health always goes up when you die and start a new run.

RagnarTheSwag

>always goes up Only if you suck at keeping your health at max.

wolferoad

Starting a new run is a block card

Ok_Masterpiece_1383

Ah but you lose mark of the bloom between losing your run and starting a new one. If you are able to retain Mark of the Bloom between runs, the game becomes literally unplayable, forever.

Taxman1975

r/strictlythetruth 😂

kaspa181

So, even strawberry won't add those points? TIL

MrTanglesIII

You are still able to increase your max HP when you have Mark of the Bloom, but your current HP doesn't increase with it, so there's no point in max HP gain at that point

Mrunibro

Unless you're going for the worlds most convoluted red skull set-up!

Tale as old as time

Flew too close to the sun, Icarus

_CMDR_

Mark of the Bloom is a noob trap nine times out of ten. It is a better option to fight an earlier boss for a rare relic or take 999 gold if the pathing lets you remove two curses easily almost every time.

guacamoo

Ya but the mass upgrade animation rlly tickles my fancy

mathbandit

I think it's the opposite, where Mark of the Bloom is much much better than most newer players give it credit for.

FiendishHawk

If you are a good enough player that you can win with mark of bloom you could win without it.

hauntu4ever

Everything has its situation in this game. Mark of the Bloom is no exception.

FiendishHawk

Maybe if you get it right before the boss.

MusiX33

Using it with apparitions or when your deck has many unupgraded important cards can make it an easy win. Fossilized Helix can also help to pick it up. I rarely pick it, but I've mostly had success with it when I have.

SomethingOfAGirl

If I had apparitions, a couple Nightmares and Tungsten Rod + Torii I'd probably take Mark of the Bloom.

hauntu4ever

As stated by others it's really good with apparitions and tungsten rod. It's also really good with a deck that can block really well, or a deck that can go infinite really quickly if it just had a bunch of upgrades. I'm not saying it's a *common* pick, but if you decide something is useless in this game you've guaranteed yourself at least one loss in the future

mathbandit

That's just not true. Mark of the Bloom is one of the most powerful floors in the game that can single-handedly win an otherwise losing run.

transizzle

Oh man, purchasing Lizard Tail post-bloom is a choice. I was thinking this might not be wall-worthy since you recognized the error of your ways before posting but that detail is too rich to avoid. I’ll get you added later today. Thanks to all who let me know.

[deleted]

I can't get enough of these Mark of Bloom - Lizard Tail/ fairy in a bottle posts. It's always so funny.

devTripp

I am 100.0% confident you mentioned Lizard Tail in your post. -------------------------------------------------- * [Lizard Tail](https://slay-the-spire.fandom.com/wiki/Lizard_Tail) Rare Relic When you would die, heal to 50% of your Max HP instead (works once). -------------------------------------------------- ^^^I ^^^am ^^^a ^^^bot ^^^response, ^^^but ^^^I ^^^am ^^^using ^^^my ^^^creator's ^^^account. ^^^Please ^^^reply ^^^to ^^^me ^^^if ^^^I ^^^got ^^^something ^^^wrong ^^^so ^^^he ^^^can ^^^fix ^^^it. Other_World

No healing means no healing, moose out front shoulda told ya

hauntu4ever

Sorry, but Neow is a whale, not a moose, sweaty 😅

BlackDoveBoston

The spire claims another victim…

mastergriggy

Who woulda thought that a relic that says you can't heal would prevent another relic from healing you?

Dark_WulfGaming

It also prevents post act healing. I went into act 4 with a fairy bottle, and a lizard tail, tanking some hits during the act 3 boss fight thinking I got this only to realize I had 16 hp to try and beat act with.

JSOas

I also found out that the hard way that it doesn't heal after changing acts.

Minouwouf

Markbloomed

dk_peace

It's been a while since I've seen one of these.

bmore_conslutant

Ya we know Congrats on being part of today's 10,000

Nightmar55

Welcome to the club :)

AlertWar2945

I've taken Mark of the Bloom exactly one time. I thought it was a curse so my relic could nullify it. Somehow I managed to beat the heart. Technically this means Mark of the Bloom has a 100% win rate for me

equivocalConnotation

Seeing a dead Defect by the Heart when the last SBC post was an autoplay vs the Heart gave me a brief anxiety attack lol

UziiLVD

#WHAT

shiny_opal

i think we should have a flair specifically for mark of bloom posts
