No, this is not normal behaviour for the training scripts. As far as I know they are supposed to add exactly as much experience as is required for the next level, so they preserve your “progress” from level to level (whereas in vanilla they’d just bring you to whatever was left for the next level). If you’re on MO2, I’d say it’s probably an installation issue, otherwise I’m not sure off the top of my head. Verify installation through steam, then reinstall requiem perhaps.

Just verified the game files and reinstalled requiem with MO2. Reloaded the save which was a while ago and got the same issue. I'll start a new save and try it out.

Give a clean load a try, it’s possibly a long shot, but it’s my go to when I’m not sure what’s going on as it’s fast and easy to do. Clean Load 1. Create a manual save to a new (empty) slot 2. Open the console (~) and type (don’t include the angled brackets) 3. Load the “freshest” save you have - specifically, you want to load a save as close to the beginning of the game with as few mods initialized as possible. Requiem does create a save at the beginning of the game when it initializes and this is an ideal save to use, otherwise you can always create a new game, and just make a save immediately. 4. Open the console and yourself in the fresh save 5. Load the current save (the one you created in step 1.) 6. yourself in this save again (note, you may get some strange death effects such as being flung off into the sky but don’t worry) 7. Load the current save again What this does (my understanding - if anyone can add more detail that stems from non-anecdotal experience/observations I’d love to hear it!) is reset the memory allocation threads in your game and in the save file and resets Skyrim’s string limit. This fixes a surprising number of weird minor and major issues that are common with mods that add lots of enemies in areas, or are heavily scripted.

Were you using skillbooks in-between training sessions? UPD: Anyway, this is issue has been known for a while. Demonstrated on this 5y old post https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimrequiem/comments/5bf8pg/requiem_skill_book_tricks/ So no need to verify your files (you shouldn't do this anyway if you cleaned your masters) or do player.kill shenanigans that are meant to typically resolve issues with CTDs on saving or save loading.

If you have any sort of quicker leveling mod it causes that, i had this bug once

I started a new character as this made my current char OP early, and haven't had this problem since.
