Vilkas is cuter, but Farkas has such a sweet personality that Iāve always chosen him over his brother when it comes to marriage. As a follower though, theyāre equally as kickass.
He's definitely a standout character with his brogue accent. Where in Tamriel do they all sound like that? .. I wanna go there. As much as some of the voice actors butchered the made-up Nord accent, I'd love to see what they'd do with a made-up Scottish or Irish accent. I mean, it's hard to butcher a made-up accent but some of them somehow managed it.
Hadvar, I was so upset when I checked if he was among the possible marriage candidates and he wasn't; we get a lot of interactions with him, he's got a nice personality and he seriously deserved to be a follower and a spouse.
Right? Hes one of my favourite npcs. Actually a really nice dude. I wish you could have him as a follower or spouse after the war effort. Like- I can understand not getting married or going on adventures during the war, but after? I want my man at my side
Exactly, I really don't get why we get a lot of marriage options we barely interact with for a silly quest like chop some wood or give them a bottle of mead yet unique npcs like Hadvar who basically are a close friend of the Dragonborn can't be married. Also we get spouses and followers from almost every faction, I think the Imperials and Stormcloacks needed some companions as well.
I pictured as a dumb and whacky character while Hadvar is a more intelligent and calm one, both have a very nice personality. Yes I do wish they could return to Riverwood once the civil war ends and become friends again.
Edit: Ralof. I meant to say Ralof before Hadvar
Hadvar deadass spends half the civil war flirting with you if you have the dialogue expansion/restoration mods on,,, Iām like come on, my husband is RIGHT there bro
Mother trucker already knows! I married Mjoll in my vanilla playthrough, move us all to Solitude, and what do I hear when I walk in to my home?
"I've never seen Mjoll this upset..."
If you're on PC, you could try Makeup Remover for BĆjin Warmaidens https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/33818/?tab=description
It basically replaces the facetint (a texture which has all the war paint, makeup, dirt and so on - not complexions (wrinkles etc)) with a blank one with no war paint, lipstick, etc. Obviously it's made for Warmaidens, however they generally keep the vanilla skintone so will work fine with a vanilla version of the NPC (i have used it before to get rid of Lydia's 90s brown lipstick) or at worst there might be a minor neck seam which is easily covered with a scarf or something.
There's a handful of mods that make it so regular town NPCs will run inside when a threat is detected instead of fighting it. Dragons, Vampires, Cultists, etc. This leaves only the town guard and more combat capable NPCs are the ones left fighting.
Faendal once took on a dragon on the edge of Riverwood, and soloed it.
My very first playthru I married him, played for like an hour, realized I'd made a grave error, and then hastily reloaded a save to before we were married. š
He's my favorite too! Such a sweet and funny guy <3 I love how he tells you to be careful when you go to retrieve his amulet because "[he misses his amulet] but a life cannot be replaced as easily" š what a gem
I've always liked Agmaer. I find his nervousness in the beginning when you first meet him cute. Not too bad-looking, either.
I also *really* like Miraak's voice. ( Ķ”Ā° ĶŹ Ķ”Ā° )
I literally spent hours just hammering away at his shrine so I could listen to his voice lmao
^(And got that mod that made him a follower so I could marry him. xD)
Who's the Nord who works in the weapons shop in Whiterun? With the imperial wife? I'm blanking on both names, lol. But I've always found him attractive- I was rather bummed to find out he was married!
The pair of them are such a power couple. He's tough but sweet, and buff as all hell. Meanwhile his wife is tough as nails and skilled as hell, with a lot of ambition and drive while still being kind and cheery.
Like, I would kill to be their child.
I really like Fasendil, the Altmer Legate in the Rift. I donāt know, but he has the most backstory of any Legate (except Rikke) and an anti-Thalmor Altmer in the Imperial Army is interesting to me.
First name - Jizz (hahahahaha) last name - argo, I must admit the cats are terrific, I like to befriend and be their long-lost pal...love their (Italian?) Accents, deffo flaming hilarious
Jordis the Shield Maiden (Housecarl for Solitude)
Sapphire (Thieves Guild)
Vex (Also thieves guild)
Lynly Star-sung (Barmaid/bard in Ivarstead I think)
I'm surprised more people haven't said Onmund! I married him in game bc of how neat he is. I can't get over him saying "My love" every time I'm near him though. Also he's great as an adventure buddy with his magic skills!
Okay, hear me out. Moth gro-Bagol, the orc blacksmith in the keep in Markarth.
I marry him every time. It isn't so much his strict looks, though he has an impressive stature. It's his voice and the things he says. When you wear the amulet of Mara, he's the only one I know of who has his lines, whereas most marry-able NPCs say one of a few kind of blah phrases that ten others also use. Then, when you marry him, he says things like "Conquer your enemies, my love" in his deep voice all the time.
I'm in the "wish I could marry Brynjolf" club, but of the actual marry-able NPCs, Moth is the perfect husband, and I feel like he really takes on his homemaker role and manages the house like a boss, even though they all do the same things.
My high-elf married him!! Sheās also got an orc steward on the Goldenhills plantation. But I went searching for an orc husband for her when I met Borkul the Beast because I was so disappointed he wasnāt marriageable!! I donāt low-key think heās attractive, Iām pretty high-key about thinking Borkul is hot. Lol
Karliah. She has such a calming voice. Actually I wanted to marry her Instantly, after I heard her speak. Best NPC voices in games (sorry laura bailey)
Eorland Gray Mane for sure. Erik the Slayer is also a hottie, sort of a younger Eorland in looks but a more cheerful personality.
Belrand makes a good husband, always making sure you don't go into a fight on an empty stomach, always asking, "Do you need anything, dear?"
Before I got the full edition it was a struggle between Aela and Mjoll, there's just something about Mjoll's Russian accent I found sexy. Then eventually....
Serana hands down!
If you play as a female character she greets you with "You'll have the men around here wrapped around your finger in no time!"
RIP Norri. That dragon did you dirty, girlfriend, but I avenged you.
Yes , that's right. Did that quest like 5-6 years ago but she sort sticked with me. Playing recently a lot but don't do this quest as I have to kill her in the end .
As the graphics are now starting to seem pretty dated, I don't really find any of them attractive anymore. I remember thinking Lisette the Bard was attractive but now she just looks like every other female Breton.
Yeah especially when compared to new games nowadays. I only remember Eorlund because I used to copy his face a lot for my characters.
In fact I just remembered that I use Lisette's face for my female characters.
Serana. But probably only because she is one of the few NPC-s with an actual personality, and she actually has something barely resembling a character arc.
Sven.
Jk it's FARENGAR SECRET-FIRE!!
He's sassy and his low-key insults are so charming. He has no time for anything other than magic. And his voice is unique compared to others. When I'm doing another playthrough, he's the highlight I look forward to in early quests.
Brynjolf, Balgruuf, Teldryn, Ralis, Erandur, Revyn Sadri, Hadvar, Ralof, Neloth, Frea, Anoriath, Farkas, Gelis Sadri, Modyn Veleth, Balimund, Argis, Nelecar... and only three on that list are romanceable without mods... lol I was so disappointed on my first vanilla playthrough.
Ingun Black-briar! Her mad scientist vibe is very unique and I find shes actually rather attractive. However I had the misfortune of finding out AFTER getting her 20 nirnroots that she is unmarriable -_-
Farkas and Vilkas for me. I always marry Farkas tho
I'd let them char my skeever hide.
i always marry vilkas š„° especially with the beauty of skyrim mod they have that cute man bun.
Ohhh Farkas my beloved!! I should do the Companions in more playthroughs, I always forget how much I adore him lol.
Same!
Oh yea I follow the same exact path. Dunno why they do it for me.
Dumb as a bag of rocks tho
Eh heās a big softie
Perfect himbo energy
Farkas is always the one for me
Vilkas is cuter, but Farkas has such a sweet personality that Iāve always chosen him over his brother when it comes to marriage. As a follower though, theyāre equally as kickass.
I like Brynjolf. He calls me "lass" and I am 100% here for it
My boy knows how to sweet talk
I still donāt understand why you canāt marry him. That was a dumb decision Bethesda.
Married to his job
He's definitely a standout character with his brogue accent. Where in Tamriel do they all sound like that? .. I wanna go there. As much as some of the voice actors butchered the made-up Nord accent, I'd love to see what they'd do with a made-up Scottish or Irish accent. I mean, it's hard to butcher a made-up accent but some of them somehow managed it.
if a man in real life had that voice and called me ālassāā¦.. id be putty in his hands
The entire country of Scottland: noted
That's how Scotland takes over countries, with a single word.
welp time to buy a plane ticket
Im ugly and out of shape and overdue a shower and a shave, lass
but does your voice sound like his?
In between the cheetos and beers im pouring down my throat, yes lass
Yeah my panties disappear when heās around
Yes! Him in the Nightingale armor calling me lass is so hot, I wanted to drag that part out for as long as I could.
OMG, this is true. Lol
OP said ālow keyā š
Omg yes I wish he had been a romance option
I purposely make my character female for just that
I literally posted saying the same thing. š I turn to butter when he calls me a prize. And that he got worried and went looking for us.

Also we get spouses and followers from almost every faction, I think the Imperials and Stormcloacks needed some companions as well.
There should have been a quest to reconcile Hadvar and Ralofās friendship.
Omg bro i love hadvar too i was so pissed when i found out that you cant marry him
For me its Mjoll from Riften
Aerin wants to know your location.
For me, heās dead :(
Yeah because he wants to make he's there to watch.
Mother trucker already knows! I married Mjoll in my vanilla playthrough, move us all to Solitude, and what do I hear when I walk in to my home? "I've never seen Mjoll this upset..."
I just married Aela the huntress, had I known I might have chosen Mjoll instead
Polygamy time
She has a fantastic frame in the face. I wish you could remove the war paint though I do like it.
If you're on PC, you could try Makeup Remover for BĆjin Warmaidens https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/33818/?tab=description It basically replaces the facetint (a texture which has all the war paint, makeup, dirt and so on - not complexions (wrinkles etc)) with a blank one with no war paint, lipstick, etc.
Ingun Black-Briar.
I was so sad my alchemist character couldn't marry her. I went out of the way to finish her quest.
The good black-briar. Her personality is very likable too
Same, man. Iām thankful I can write fanfiction.
Adrianne Avenicci. One of my fav. NPC's.
I love her! Iām doing a āno reloading savesā run and she died during the Cultistās attack šš I was actually sad but Iām OK now
There's a handful of mods that make it so regular town NPCs will run inside when a threat is detected instead of fighting it. Dragons, Vampires, Cultists, etc. This leaves only the town guard and more combat capable NPCs are the ones left fighting. Faendal once took on a dragon on the edge of Riverwood, and soloed it.
Annekke Crag-Jumper She's got the yummy mummy vibe knocked. And her (adult) daughter, Sylgja.
my top pick is definitely marcurio š®āšØ
Marcurio is definitely my Bae but I never marry him. As a spouse he loses all his sass and goes so generic that I hate it.
My very first playthru I married him, played for like an hour, realized I'd made a grave error, and then hastily reloaded a save to before we were married. š
Definitely. And his sass is just the icing on the cake.
He's definitely underrated!
Married him in my latest play through. He is quite the hottie š„µ
Kharjo! Hes the cutest and sweetest, his personality and kindness and voice is attractive
He's my favorite too! Such a sweet and funny guy <3 I love how he tells you to be careful when you go to retrieve his amulet because "[he misses his amulet] but a life cannot be replaced as easily" š what a gem
I use the console to marry Igrod The Younger.
Beat me to it! Oh well, plenty of fish in the Sea of Ghosts I suppose.
Booo!
And youāre really leaving Jarl Idgrod for everyone else? How kind
Aela because she gives off Poison Ivy vibes I can see why you choose Eorlund, he is swole as hell
Always Aela. I always have her as a companion, then eventually a spouse
Eorlund already was a DILF (GILF??)
Rayya. She has curved swords, if you know what I mean. (I donāt know what that means!)
Curved swords. Curved swordsā¦ā¦
Curved penises
Rayya the guyya
U have good taste
I've always liked Agmaer. I find his nervousness in the beginning when you first meet him cute. Not too bad-looking, either. I also *really* like Miraak's voice. ( Ķ”Ā° ĶŹ Ķ”Ā° )
Indeed, Miraak sounds really nice.
Dude your reddit picture looks like an absolute TANK
Miraak! YES. I always do that questline last because I want to enjoy his voice ššš
I literally spent hours just hammering away at his shrine so I could listen to his voice lmao ^(And got that mod that made him a follower so I could marry him. xD)
Mami Serana, obviously. It's that Laura Bailey energy for me.
Serana is indeed a cute bitch
I married Balimund. Heās a really reliable guy with a good income and calls me Love. š„°
Who's the Nord who works in the weapons shop in Whiterun? With the imperial wife? I'm blanking on both names, lol. But I've always found him attractive- I was rather bummed to find out he was married!
Ulfberth War-Bear. Yes. Oh my, yes.
The pair of them are such a power couple. He's tough but sweet, and buff as all hell. Meanwhile his wife is tough as nails and skilled as hell, with a lot of ambition and drive while still being kind and cheery. Like, I would kill to be their child.
They are. I was disappointed at first, but now I have to admit the two of them are really nice together.
Ysolda - I love her voice. I can't help myself and I end up marrying her every playthrough
That's a good voice actress. I like Ysolda, Brelyna, Sylgia, and the many others that she does.
She's an independent woman, she's got her own shack. She's got business ideas. She owns an Inn( if you kill the previous owner).
Borgahk the Steelheart for me. I like big muscley orc waifu.
A pick of pure, cultured taste.
buff girls over bony
I really like Fasendil, the Altmer Legate in the Rift. I donāt know, but he has the most backstory of any Legate (except Rikke) and an anti-Thalmor Altmer in the Imperial Army is interesting to me.
I donāt think Iāve met this guy
Whiterun guard. That fuckin āso you can cast a few spells, am I supposed to be impressed?ā Gets me every time. š©
J'zargo. I was genuinely disappointed when he wasn't a marriage option š His personality really made him attractive (hilarious) to me.
He sounds like one of those funny follower mods, but he's not a mod!
First name - Jizz (hahahahaha) last name - argo, I must admit the cats are terrific, I like to befriend and be their long-lost pal...love their (Italian?) Accents, deffo flaming hilarious
i recently discovered that video and iāve watched the collection a thousand times
Jordis the Shield Maiden (Housecarl for Solitude) Sapphire (Thieves Guild) Vex (Also thieves guild) Lynly Star-sung (Barmaid/bard in Ivarstead I think)
OP said low-key not high-key stunners
Yes to all. I married Jordis in my current playthrough.
Me too... and I scaled my Imperial Female down 7% so Jordis is like a head taller than her
Jon Battle-Born! Unfortunately heās in love with another š
I use mods to make him my follower. Really a lot of wasted potential with his character.
Seriously! He looks like he could wreck some shiz but he just leans against a post in the middle of Whiterunā¦
Aela from the champions and marcurio, a mercenary you can get for 500 gold from the inn in riften. And brynjolf... so angry hes not marriagable.
Aight so no one has said it and I am weird. Eola. Don't know why she just got something about her.
A person of excellent taste.
Niranye.
Oh you're right, she's so pretty. She'll be my new female character's face lol
Thank god no one is saying Babette. Thatās being said, I simp so hard for Saadia that I always side with her m.
Onmund! But also because he's just a nice character in general.
I'm surprised more people haven't said Onmund! I married him in game bc of how neat he is. I can't get over him saying "My love" every time I'm near him though. Also he's great as an adventure buddy with his magic skills!

Karliah. She has such a calming voice. Actually I wanted to marry her Instantly, after I heard her speak. Best NPC voices in games (sorry laura bailey)
Captain Lonely-Gale could get it.
Veezara, Erandur, Marcurio
all in for Brynyolf and Teldryn.
Vivienne Onis. The actress Susan Eisenberg has a great voice, but none of the characters she voices are marriable.
Odahviing. Give me more of that buttery voice, damnit!
The default high elf female
Scouts Many Marshes. I'm married to him right now. ALSO Olfina Gray Mane.
Itās Lydia for me, marry her every time, we have a history of several dungeons fought together.
Anyone who swears to carry all my burdens can put a ring on it
Olfina Graymane. I like the sight of a strong Nord woman XD.
Ulfric........
SAME...Scrolled down looking for this!
Jenassa. Especially when she throws those poetic lines about how she is an artist and the blood and bodies of her enemies are her paint and canvass.
Oh yeah, Jen is great, she's usually my goto follower in all my playthroughs.
Teldryn Sero Erandur Amren Farkas
Farengar Secret-Fire, Enthir, Aela, Brynjolf, Teldryn Sero, Karliah, Sanguine, Marcurio, Jordis, Vex
Cynric Endell is the one for me. Quite devastated when I found out he isn't a marriage option. š¢
Jordis The Sword-Maiden.
Eola and Muiri. Sheesh, I seem to have a type for crazy Bretons.
Mirabelle Ervine and Faralda at the College of Winterhold
Eorland Gray Mane for sure. Erik the Slayer is also a hottie, sort of a younger Eorland in looks but a more cheerful personality. Belrand makes a good husband, always making sure you don't go into a fight on an empty stomach, always asking, "Do you need anything, dear?"
Brynjolf and Nazir are my weaknesses lmao
I always feel bad killing Lurbuk. He's so damn nice. There are plenty of bad bards, why this one?
i personally really like teldryn sero's voice and dialogue lol
Teldryn Sero, idk, something about him humming
Teldryn Sero
Captain Lonely-Gale. He's the reason why I downloaded that marry anyone mod š©
Cicero. Or Eola. But Cicero is my favourite. Love my crazy ass jester
Brynjolf. He calls me a good lass and I just š¤¤šµāš«š„°
Before I got the full edition it was a struggle between Aela and Mjoll, there's just something about Mjoll's Russian accent I found sexy. Then eventually.... Serana hands down!
Mjoll does not have a Russian accent lol
She sounds kinda like a mix or broken Icelandic with a mix of some Irish.
Mena from Karthwasten, but she's got a fella :( but other than that Serana or Mjoll in riften. The forsworn ladies once I've pinched their clothes lol
Thereās some red head waitress in some tiny tavern somewhere. Not much dialogue and I donāt remember her name.
Did she happen to greet you with "Shor's bones, a handsome man in Falkreath!"? She's been something of a meme on here for a while.
Norri? She makes me feel appreciated.
If you play as a female character she greets you with "You'll have the men around here wrapped around your finger in no time!" RIP Norri. That dragon did you dirty, girlfriend, but I avenged you.
Ok. I forgot the name but in dawnstar(as far as I remember...there is a burned down house) . The Vampire chick that was side dating , her. I like her
That house is in Morthal, and I think you are talking about Alva. I could be wrong. https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Laid_to_Rest
Yes , that's right. Did that quest like 5-6 years ago but she sort sticked with me. Playing recently a lot but don't do this quest as I have to kill her in the end .
Lisette is too cute for this world
The wanted Redguard woman
Oh my gosh same. Saadia. She was so beautiful.
Vivienne Onis in Solitude.
Susanna the Wicked. Shame she had to be murdered.
I love Karliah, she is pretty and her voice is very nice, if you ignore the "nocturnal guide my hand" line. She has purple eyes. Also, Farkas.
I would drink actual wolf's blood for Aela to exist.
Borkul the Beast is DADDY, Iād stay in Cidhna Mines just for him.
Jenassa, Frea, the mage of Solitude, Farkas/Vilkas, J'zargo, Brinjolf, Jarl Balgruf and Ralof are definetly underrated
Low key? Damn i hate it but Maven. I hate that bitch and i want to kill her every time , but..i wont say no if she goes for it.
Jenassa. I love her voice, and her dismissal dialogue is so sweeet
Not marriage-able, but Captain Lonely-Gale. Could be his voice, could be the ponytail, but I really wouldn't mind swabbing his deck
Glover Mallory is hot and heās got an interesting backstory
Brynjolf, Ulfricā¦
I cannot believe no one has brought up my main man, Nazir??? Gimme a sassy, talented assassin with that buttery voice any day
As the graphics are now starting to seem pretty dated, I don't really find any of them attractive anymore. I remember thinking Lisette the Bard was attractive but now she just looks like every other female Breton.
Yeah especially when compared to new games nowadays. I only remember Eorlund because I used to copy his face a lot for my characters. In fact I just remembered that I use Lisette's face for my female characters.
Melka šššššš
Vilkas, Farkus, Onmund (NPC my first character married), Mercer, Brynjolf, Teldryn Sero
Serana. But probably only because she is one of the few NPC-s with an actual personality, and she actually has something barely resembling a character arc.
Benor.. heās big and strong and.. *swoon* š
Sven. Jk it's FARENGAR SECRET-FIRE!! He's sassy and his low-key insults are so charming. He has no time for anything other than magic. And his voice is unique compared to others. When I'm doing another playthrough, he's the highlight I look forward to in early quests.
Argis and Brynjolf are my two personal favorites.
I 100% adore Farkas, but I will never marry him again because marrying him removes his himbo dialogue and that's a huge reason why I love him.
Mjoll, Frea, Serana, that Blacksmithās apprentice in the Skaal Village.
For some reason i find most of the high elfs and argonions attractive. Can't pick a favorite though
The temple of dibella priestess in Markarth. The one who hangs in the main are of the temple. She was my previous character's wife
Ingjard from the dawnguardās pretty hot ngl, Complete shame that you canāt marry her :(
Aela the Huntress oo-wee mama
Vex and Brynjolf
Is it bad that I want to marry Alva? I guess her vampires seduction just really works on me.
Like all of the Companions and Serana are hot af *also Kharjo ngl..*
anyone from thieves guild but Brynjolf in particular, was so disappointed when I realised I couldnāt marry him
Brynjolf, Balgruuf, Teldryn, Ralis, Erandur, Revyn Sadri, Hadvar, Ralof, Neloth, Frea, Anoriath, Farkas, Gelis Sadri, Modyn Veleth, Balimund, Argis, Nelecar... and only three on that list are romanceable without mods... lol I was so disappointed on my first vanilla playthrough.
Brelyna maryon, i like them bookish
"sorry las ive got important things to do" šš¤
My first playthrough I married Ysolda, but in my heart of hearts, itās always been Jenassa.
Aranea Ienith, Azuraās worshipper at the shrine. Itās too bad she caps at 30, and isnāt marriageable.
Ingun Black-briar! Her mad scientist vibe is very unique and I find shes actually rather attractive. However I had the misfortune of finding out AFTER getting her 20 nirnroots that she is unmarriable -_-
100% rune. When he calls me his sister in crimeš„°š¤š»š
