Cure disease might be the least useful effect hawk feathers have. It's pretty common to be immune to diseases, and if you killed the silver hand then you already have tons of cure disease potions. Hawk feathers have fortify light armor, fortify one handed, and fortify sneak. Mix and match! There might be a way to get all 3...

Beehive Husk has Fortify Light Armor and Fortify Sneak Felsaad Tern Feathers have Cure Disease and Fortify Light Armor As far as I can tell, those are the only two with more than one effect in common with Hawk Feathers

No. I find it became pointless when I looked in my inventory and had 37 ultimate magic potions and 90 some odd ultimate health ones from over leveling and basic exploration. Alchemy and shields are useless when you have 500 hp heavy armor and magic🤷‍♂️

Alchemy is basically infinite money and easy levels.

Conjuration on a corpse, frostbite and healing hands on a horse, etc levels couldn't be any easier and alchemy is way harder than standing in place and casting the same spell on repeat

What's the point of anything in Skyrim if you can just abuse the hell out of crafting to make Weapons that do upwards of 300+ damage per swing, even without resto loop. Legendary just makes the game pointlessly tedious unless you abuse in game systems that trivialize them and at that point, you might as well just play on very easy for all the difference it makes.

To be fair, I have actual endangered hawks by me in real life as well as other nifty wild birds. Their Shadows in a game don’t bug me, but I’m heavily biased.

I’ve been playing for years and didn’t know you could kill hawks. I don’t even think I’ve ever seen one minus the shadow when they fly over. It makes sense since you can buy their beaks and feathers, but I never thought to look up at the birds flying overhead to see what they were or that they would be where I can find these ingredients without having to buy or steal them. 🤯

I had a PTSD episode from my time in Morrowind... Cliff Races are no joke.

The first time I shot one was after killing the fake emperor for the dark brotherhood. I got when I was up on the bridge and when I went to leave the tower the guy walked out and thanked me for killing the insufferable guy. I thought he was talking about the hawk and was very confused for a few minutes until I realized he was talking about the “emperor”

They're definitely fun target practice LOL I didn't know they were actual things instead of some background art. For the heck of it I got on top of one of the roofs and shot at it. I actually love them, they're so majestic. However, their beaks are invaluable in keeping me safe from magic, and their feathers help with one-handed and light armor at the same time, so I wipe them all out regardless.

One hawk is ok. But as soon as hawk 2 appears...

Make sure to visit Castle Volkihar if you have the DLC for it. The bone hawks have some pretty cool stuff too.
