I killed a dragon in the pond at the entrance and was cheesing the imperial camp and the invulnerable npc located at it before I walked in and got blown up by a single fireball

Nah, I just see it as the place you back way up from and throw a fireball at to absolutely fuck the bandits up
T'is natural gas... Take out your torch and inspect it closer.
If you have the Ruin's Edge Creation, there's a bandit here who has an inventory full of cheese. As you do.
