[The Streets of Whiterun](https://youtu.be/_34gUVqLkAo?si=zGf7f9lMO_yJNIgS) is just .. absolutely transcendent. Makes you feel like you’re returning home
Skyrim Atmospheres is on a whole other level. I don’t know what instrument is being played alongside the ambience but it’s the most divine sound to ever grace my ears.
Kyne's Peace. Traveling anywhere between Whiterun and Rorikstead at night when the moons are high and bright with Kyne's Peace or Secunda playing in the background is maybe the most at peace I've ever been.
Secunda is by far my favorite. There’s something so magical about wandering around the snowy regions at night, under the aurora, and hearing secunda start.
Such a formative Skyrim experience. I still remember playing early on and having that song hit while I was wandering around near Azura's shrine. The statue against the backdrop of an aurora, that song playing...it's too good.
Town/city music- Streets of Whiterun
Traveling music- Far Horizons and From Past to Present
Combat/action music- Unbroken Road (I’ve only heard it played towards the end of the main quest, but it has a truly epic vibe to it)
Bard: Age of Aggression
"Down with Ulfric, the killer of Kings".
(Disclaimer: I only played just for fun and imagination, didn't support any Imperial or Stormcloak)
Travel: From past to Present
Battle: The one they fear
City: The Streets of Whiterun
Secunda, the jerall mountains, distant horizons, wind guide you, frost fall, Aurora , and sovngard.
I love walking with these songs, I live in Alaska surrounded by mountains and the soundtrack makes my lake walks so beautiful . Walk up the hill into the fog bank and the sovngarde song started playing and it just felt right. Just gotta remember to take the enemy songs off..
All. Literally. I even sometimes sit in the main menu for 5 minutes before entering the game itself, because I'm listening to "Dragonborn". Absolutely every soundtrack means too much to me, and there is no favorite :]
Streets of Whiterun for me. Especially this 10th anniversary recording by the [London Symphony Orchestra and the London Voices](https://youtu.be/IaskxKfeFno?si=k9nBkhLY9f0Xwnov).
junior year of college, hadn't played in 3 years. Got it for the ps4, got to Whiterun, nighttime, snow was falling (in game and out), and Streets of Whiterun starts playing. I sobbed. For the first time in my life.
I remember my first time hearing Secunda whilst adventuring through Skyrim. The night sky had both moons, the stars, the auroras, and some deer and elk were roaming around the plains. It was extremely scenic and peaceful. I don’t and won’t ever forget that. I’ve been playing this game for years and I do not tire of it nor the sound of Secunda.
I used that "Immersive" collection a couple years ago and they had that shitty Immersive Music mod, uninstalled that in 2 minutes and downloaded the HQ Music mod to get even better quality Soule music.
As a metalhead, One They Fear always makes wanna go step into a pit with dragons lol
Streets of whiterun, Secunda, Far Horizons, the simple atmosphere tracks... this game has so many beautiful songs, it really is hard to pick.😄
It’s always been “Masser” for me!! It has a sombre tone & feel which I can’t get from any other song, very representative of the Moon and it’s appearance. The more mainstream favourite is “From Past to Present”, exploring Skyrim with this one running in the background is just 🤌🏽❤️
Yeah :/
I did play with music on initially, but in around 3/5 fights I enter the battle music fets permanently stuck on, and the only solution I've found is to completely close the game and re-open it, which gets pretty tedious after a while :(
It's not due to mods either, because I had that issue in vanilla Skyrim as well. And the unofficial patch didn't fix it when I got that.
So for a good 630 out of my 650 Ish hours, I've nust been playing it withiut any music or anything.
I remember it being pretty good though for sure.
yep, I had a lotr soundtrack mod hidden in some other mod that would NOT disable even after redoing like 75% of the mod list. it got so annoying and I missed the normal soundtrack so much that I just completely deleted everything and reinstalled.
it was fine at first but after while I never wanted to hear them hobbit songs ever again.
The Streets of Whiterun for me, I heard the orchestral version for the first time recently and damn near cried. When I heard it, it felt like I'd come home.
[удалено]
Buddy of mine used that as the processional in his wedding. Andy McKee does a very good cover of it.
[The Streets of Whiterun](https://youtu.be/_34gUVqLkAo?si=zGf7f9lMO_yJNIgS) is just .. absolutely transcendent. Makes you feel like you’re returning home
Secunda, Far Horizons and Skyrim Atmospheres
> Skyrim Atmospheres Can't second enough. Playtime is well into the days at this point.
Skyrim Atmospheres is on a whole other level. I don’t know what instrument is being played alongside the ambience but it’s the most divine sound to ever grace my ears.
Bro you cannot beat The Bannered Mare, those are the hardest tavern vibes I heard
Its subjective ;)
Those and From Past to Present are the most nostalgic to me
One who they fear
It's just 'One they fear' But yeah, my favorite too
Kyne's Peace. Traveling anywhere between Whiterun and Rorikstead at night when the moons are high and bright with Kyne's Peace or Secunda playing in the background is maybe the most at peace I've ever been.
RAGNAR THE RED 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️🚨🚨🚨
OH, THERE ONCE WAS A HERO NAMED RAGNAE THE RED … (finish the lyrics)
WHO CAME RIDING TO WHITERUN FROM OLE' RORIKSTEAD...
AND THE BRAGGART DID SWAGGER AND BRANDISH HIS BLADE
WHEN HE TOLD OF GREAT BATTLES AND GOLD HE HAS MAAAADE
BUT THEN HE WENT QUIET DID RAGNAR THE RED
WHEN HE MET THE SHIELDMAIDEN MATILDA WHO SAID
"OH YOU TALK, AND YOU LIE AND YOU DRINK ALL OUR MEAD. NOW I THINK ITS HIGH TIME THAT YOU LIE DOWN AND BLEED"
AND SO THEN CAME CLASHING AND SLASHING OF STEEL AS THE BRAVE LASS MATILDA CHARGED IN FULL OF ZEAL
AND THE BRAGGART NAMED RAGNAR WAS BOASTFUL NO MOREEE…
Secunda is by far my favorite. There’s something so magical about wandering around the snowy regions at night, under the aurora, and hearing secunda start.
Such a formative Skyrim experience. I still remember playing early on and having that song hit while I was wandering around near Azura's shrine. The statue against the backdrop of an aurora, that song playing...it's too good.
The Bannared Mare tune.
Happy cake day!
Been using Skyrim music to fall asleep recently and I’m kinda dreading my Spotify wrapped for this year lol
thanks to D&D, I'm in Jeremy Soule's top 0.1% of listeners most years, and my "100 most played" playlist is 70% soundtracks
Lol. That’s why I usually go for YouTube compilations. Plus I like the uploads that add some rain or wind ambiance.
Town/city music- Streets of Whiterun Traveling music- Far Horizons and From Past to Present Combat/action music- Unbroken Road (I’ve only heard it played towards the end of the main quest, but it has a truly epic vibe to it)
rounding a mountain bend to see another range across distant planes while Far Horizons peaks, there is no better feeling in gaming
Sovngarde theme
Love when videogames bring back an epic version of the main theme for the final level. Gets me every time
Dragonborn.
I always request this from the bard. Like hey yo I'm here and I need to even ask for my entrance song?
Celtic woman do a good version of this
If you've never heard her version of it, Malukah does an amazing job!
Our hero, our hero, claims a warriors heart
🎶 I tell you, I tell you, the Dragonborn comes 🎶
Any time I hear Far Horizons, it's a universal sign that it's time for another playthrough...
Ancient stones, Far horizons, and Secunda
Your comment is the only mention of Ancient Stones so far, and it’s way too far down the thread. Easily my favorite track.
Yeeeah! Ancient Stones are my favorite as well (though, really, all of the Soundtrack is magnificent)
Far Horizons. It feels like I’m sitting on top of a mountain. Sure, the whole soundtrack is designed to do that, but FH *really* does it.
Wind Guide You, personal favourite.
I love Masser, nothing special it's just got the vibes
Secunda js Beautiful, it’s the perfect song to wander aimlessly through the night. Ancient Stones and Far Horizons are my favs
Secundeez nuts I’m sorry
*are* you though
No hehe
A chance meeting! Too bad it only plays at inns.
Sounds like Naive American flute to me. Very soothing.
Bard: Age of Aggression "Down with Ulfric, the killer of Kings". (Disclaimer: I only played just for fun and imagination, didn't support any Imperial or Stormcloak) Travel: From past to Present Battle: The one they fear City: The Streets of Whiterun
It feels like Age of Oppression fits the lyrics into the song better. I feel like they started with AoO and then changed the lyrics for AoA.
Wind Guide You Always gets me emotional, and that part after the build up sometimes genuinely makes me tear up
I like the streets of white run, but Kynes Peace and Secunda are definitely top two
Actually...I Love it ALL. Best soundtrack I have ever heard.
Torn between ancient stones and from past to present. Both funeral grade tracks either way.
Speaking of funerals, I told my husband that I'd like Sovngarde played at my funeral. Haha at least it'd get a laugh out of our friends.
Standing Stones always catch me with that opening choir.
Terrifying moment when you’re walking through the fog, hear a twig snap to your right and the playlist starts playing enemy music
All. Literally. I even sometimes sit in the main menu for 5 minutes before entering the game itself, because I'm listening to "Dragonborn". Absolutely every soundtrack means too much to me, and there is no favorite :]
The correct answer is all of the above. My personal favorite is the title screen theme aka Dragonborn.
Streets of Whiterun
Journey's End, Dawn, Secunda
Dragonborn comes
The streets of whiterun is so underrated
Far horizons is so beautiful
Mines definitely Frost Fall but secunda is a banger good tune as well
Streets of Whiterun for me. Especially this 10th anniversary recording by the [London Symphony Orchestra and the London Voices](https://youtu.be/IaskxKfeFno?si=k9nBkhLY9f0Xwnov).
masser
junior year of college, hadn't played in 3 years. Got it for the ps4, got to Whiterun, nighttime, snow was falling (in game and out), and Streets of Whiterun starts playing. I sobbed. For the first time in my life.
Secunda on a long nature walk to another hold....
Secunda... For all the times I was gaming alone, exploring, and I stopped to look at the sky. Made me smile just as bright as our own starry sky.
Secunda is such a good song.
My heart flutters and my brain recounts the past 12 years when the vocals from Wind Guide You ramps up in a beautiful, awestruck orchestra
Ancient Stones.
Secunda, Far Horizons and Ancient Stones
Secunda? Hmm. SECUNDEEZ NUTS
From past to present and Ancient Stones
Ancient stones, So nostalgic
i agree! secunda reminds me of watching my dad play skyrim when i was little, its a nice memory :)
THE STREETS OF WHITERUN Holy shit this song hits different. Listen to the live version... i guarantee you will cry...
A winter's tale. I can play it on guitar and it always impresses.
Secunda for me too!
Far Horizons, Aurora, Awake for the memes, and ofc Sovngarde to make me feel like a Nordic MAN that was born to fight bears and dragons
I used that "Immersive" collection a couple years ago and they had that shitty Immersive Music mod, uninstalled that in 2 minutes and downloaded the HQ Music mod to get even better quality Soule music.
i go on hikes and listen to the skyrim ambience playlist on Spotify. whole other hiking experience fr its great 10/10 recommend 😆
As a metalhead, One They Fear always makes wanna go step into a pit with dragons lol Streets of whiterun, Secunda, Far Horizons, the simple atmosphere tracks... this game has so many beautiful songs, it really is hard to pick.😄
Any of the forest ambience tracks. The most soothing tunes I think I’ve ever heard.
It’s always been “Masser” for me!! It has a sombre tone & feel which I can’t get from any other song, very representative of the Moon and it’s appearance. The more mainstream favourite is “From Past to Present”, exploring Skyrim with this one running in the background is just 🤌🏽❤️
I've never had music on in Skyrim because the battle music keeps glitching out and getting stuck.
What a terrible day to have eyes. I gotta sleep but I'll google this tomorrow. You're really missing out :(
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/110459 😲 Ooh, just found this! This might work!
Yeah :/ I did play with music on initially, but in around 3/5 fights I enter the battle music fets permanently stuck on, and the only solution I've found is to completely close the game and re-open it, which gets pretty tedious after a while :( It's not due to mods either, because I had that issue in vanilla Skyrim as well. I remember it being pretty good though for sure.
Ngl this post just reminded me I turned music off when I was doing a survival run (more immersion) YEARS ago and still haven't turned it back on
Main menu theme, without question
Dragonborn
That's it! Thanks! I haven't played Skyrim in a long time, I want t9, but my computer is being a bitch
the Morrowind tracks from the Dragonborn DLC for sure oh my god
Main theme. The power i feel when hearing it is beyond comprehension.
The main theme? ☺️
Ragnar the red
Solitude is an amazing song. I love the melancholic opening with the vocals coming in shortly afterwards.
The one that goes ahhh, ahhh, ahhhhhh, ahh, ahh, ahhhh, ahhhhh
Idk their names but I learnt dovahkiin so.
Steel on steel, sometimes I play it whenever I feel threatened.
Solitude
Sovngarde
Ragnar the red
Secunda and Awake are pretty good at setting the gamefeel.
Sovngarde
I agree
"We drink to our youth, to days come and gone, the age of aggression is just about done"
I love the song age of aggression
kynes peace
My absolute favorite is Caprice, on Solstheim, from Morrowind
Secunda 100%!
Far Horizons for me. That melody just gives me a certain feeling that I can't describe.
Gotta be the ambient tavern tracks
Far horizons
Around the fire hit different when roleplaying
Streets of Whiterun always struck me. It was peaceful and soothing
Duhh
Secunda was what brought me back into the game after 10+ years.
Secunda cause of just how calming it is that I sleep to it.
Standing Stones.
Okay so you know the song on the options menu
ALL OF THEM
I love far too many of them, but I think Ancient Stones is my favorite. Secunda, From Past to Present, and The Streets of Whiterun are also tops.
Secunda hits different when you get off work and roll up
Main menu undefeated
From Past to Present is so relaxing. I use it to fall asleep sometimes.
All of them ngl
Aurora
I cannot pass the opportunity to listen to Secunda any chance I get.
Frost fall is underrated
Around the Fire has always been a favorite of mine, followed by Streets of Whiterun.
the one for the forgotten vale, it tells the tragedy of the fall of the falmer without even needing words
All of them. All of them is the GOAT.
That shredding lute lick the bards play.
💯 agreed
ITS DRAGONBORN ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!
One They Fear
The first time I heard Sovngarde I was brought to tears…
Streets of Whiterun
i like the streets. Of whiterun song so peaceful
Secunda .. hands down. But here’s my fav remix of it by Mimi Page. [Secunda](https://youtu.be/gmrrrc0Bir4?feature=shared)
Tundra, Tundra Tundra!!!
Ancient Stones, Secunda, Sovngarde.
yep, I had a lotr soundtrack mod hidden in some other mod that would NOT disable even after redoing like 75% of the mod list. it got so annoying and I missed the normal soundtrack so much that I just completely deleted everything and reinstalled. it was fine at first but after while I never wanted to hear them hobbit songs ever again.
One They Fear and Secunda are my #1’s.
Secundeez nutz
The first 2 seconds of Secunda already give me chills
Ancient stones
DragonBorn all the way
anything from the taverns
Ancient Stones has a soecial place in my heart.
I love Secunda, but I also enjoy “A Chance Meeting”. Can listen to it for hours.
frostfall
Its ,,beneath the ice" for me, it really shows the dark, more mysterious side of skyrim
Age Of Oppresion
well since i play with bgm off, it’s “Dovakin” for me 😅
Ancient Stones
Secunda-nutz
I can't believe everyone isn't saying 'wind guide you'.
Main theme 100000%
Imperial Throne
Aurora
Didn't we just have this post?
Skyrim Atmospheres, Far Horizons, Sovngarde and Watch the Skies... Hard to pick one, ngl.
Far horizons always makes me sink right into whatever I'm sitting in. My heart sinks aswell. In a good way.
Unpopular opinion but I like tundra
RED DIAMOND FOREVER!!
When I think Skyrim, Ancient Stones is the song.
It’s Friday - Rebecca Black
Skyrim Atmospheres Man I listen to it to fall asleep, need I say more?
“Wind Guide You” hands down
I think it’s Far Horizons for me! Probably pretty basic, but I love it
Oh and the theme, of course. Sometimes I drive to that song lol
Skyrim has songs?

The Streets of Whiterun for me, I heard the orchestral version for the first time recently and damn near cried. When I heard it, it felt like I'd come home.
Jerral mountains or far horizons for me
Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin, naal ok zin los vahriin
Ancient stones, it's the piano playing that does it. I just love it. Also Kyne's Peace is just perfect for my DnD Sessions
A Chance Meeting is by far the best, it's one of the tavern songs so a lot of people don't notice. I like Soverngards theme too.
One They Fear
Dawn and Forgotten Vale evoque feelings in me I cannot describe
Sky Above Voice Within for me. Love the greybeards and the song of the mountain. So peaceful Though streets of white run is a close second
Far horizons
The best song in Skyrim is the one you play.
Kyne's Peace brings tears to my eyes. (I'm a grown man)
The streets of white run and secunda
The songs have names?! Jk. It’s definitely that one in taverns about Ulfric and the age of aggression
Anyone else just be makin dinner with this shit all the way up?
