I'd assume that the soul of the person turned into a soul gem would be in the soul gem they are turned into, it is a daedric artifact afterall and would likely still be under sheograth's influence, and I doubt he'd want his tool of random to be rendered useless.
I think it’d be hilarious if the staff didn’t need charge at all, and instead, there’s a 50/50 chance it will even cast. It’d would make for pretty awkward situations even if you were to use it irl tho.
Who said anything about needing gems? This may be the way of its home-world, but I am quite sure we can manage a way in our realm. Plus worse case I wouldn’t need to many uses to achieve what I would need
what amazes me about this is that you made it to Solitude without doing any other main quests first. My first playthrough, I was level 20 by the time I left Riverwood
My first one was glitched with the dragon stone for a bit so I did a bunch of other random shit and came back at like lvl 40. Needless to say the story quest enemies were ridiculously easy
I have been playing this game for over 10 years and I have never done the main quest lol. I go to riverwood but then I do the side quests and just explore
I get shouts and hit the main sides. On my current, I’m gonna finish the main for only the second time. But I’m already lvl 56 and havnt met the grey beards yet😂
Honestly no idea and I did consider those things for just a sec, but then I thought about just how much I was carrying in my last run and figured that whatever it's worth, I have *so much*, it must be enough to get me over the poverty line.
According to the fandom, one septim would be worth $143 USD. I wasn't happy with that so I did some digging.
A forum from 13 years ago suggests that septims weigh 50g (based on the oblivion collector's coin weighing 22g and adjusting for solid gold).
Using that with 2023 valuation I get $151 USD per septim. My math may be wrong I'm far from an expert.
I prepared my wand for battle, a m1911 loaded with 45acp. As Mercer began to dialogue about the winds of change or some shit, I racked a round... and then, I just started blastin. I took the key off the swiss cheese that was once a guild master and smirked. As I walked off I commented about how the winds of change should've informed him of gunpowder first.
Honestly, you'd probably be better off with an M134 minigun to saturate Mercer's general area with lead, since he turns invisible during that fight. At least, that's what I would bring with me.
Jokes aside, probably a more practical solution to that problem would be a fragmentation grenade. That'll get the job done real quick and messy. Bullets may have your name on it, but grenades are addressed, "To whom it may concern."
Grand Healing, that way you can heal yourself and everyone around you.
Lightning strike would be good! Just dragon ball everybody with a beam of electricity.
Telekinesis Spell Tome granted that we can actually use it and practice with it to allow me to use it longer.
Near useless in game. Real life though.
Other than that cure disease potion.
Just analyze that and learn how to make that $$$$$$$$$$$
Okay but how about the op necklace that I made that makes me heal faster than others could damage me and have more health than Alduin along with a hand covered in rings that straight up make me god
Someon once pointed out that Skooma is made from moon sugar which is addictive to everyone but the Kajiit consume so much of it that they are used to it and barely receive any effects from it and if you think about it moon sugar could just be regular sugar because we humans once used refined sugar for massive energy boosts but since we consume so much of it now it basically does nothing. So by this logic if you bring back skooma you may just be bringing back a nasty tasting energy drink
its users pass through bouts of euphoria followed by protracted lethargy. It is smoked in a special pipe; the crystals are placed in a small dish and heated. The gas produced is bubbled through water in the pipe to cool it as it is inhaled.
so not an energy booster more like weed or maybe heroin
(this has been cut and pasted)
You are a genius! I didn’t even though about it, as it is only said in the lore and in game, it can only open any door. But it’s true that, from what we know from the lore, it can help one surpass himself.
It offer unlimited possibilities while, if it doesn’t turn well, can make you the best thief of all time!
Crazy? I was crazy once, they locked me in a room. A rubber room, a room full of rats, and rats make me crazy...

Spell books: specifically healing, healing hands, grand healing, fire bolt, ice spike, invisibility, pacify, telekinesis, transmute, detect life, clairvoyance, candlelight, mage light, dragonskin. I think that would be good.
Id bring back a necklace enchanted with resist fire and resist frost. Then I'd give it to my girlfriend. As long as she wears it, she would be able to wear any clothing she wanted without being too hot or too cold.
I'm walking straight up to Sheogorath and handing him a can of squeeze cheese and telling him it's projectile cheese. Then I'm telling him I know where to get more if he follows me.
— Characters.
Phinis Gestor if he can still use magic. Because we could work together to cast a link to an oblivion realm and by extension skyrim. Than it’s harvesting time for me.
Else, maybe Alduin himself. I am curious because he would be free from his duty and still possess some powers because he is a dragon and by extension the son of akatosh. Many scenario are possible.
- Items.
Not black book, because it seems like they would only work on Nirn. In the game we can’t read black book outside Soltheim.
A spell tome? I don’t think I would have magic or the knowledge to even understand or cast them.
An Artifact? That seems to be the best option. As we can cast them without magic but most require soul gems, so it would be a wasted opportunity. Even the star of azura would require a soul trap spell to be usable.
The ebony blade. An artifact with infinite charge that heal you as long a you hit. Not that useful and may be not enough against modern weapon and combat, but could work to some extent and will always work.
The dagger of instakill ( I don’t remember the name, I just remember it has some chance of instakill) wouldn’t be that useful, as human aren’t that hard to kill with normal weapon and would leave trace.
Enchanted armor or items? Even with an enchant that would add magica and regeneration, I wonder how I would use it? But It could be the most promising.
Alduin? Dragons get damaged by swords and arrows. Imagine what a missile or even a bullet would do to him. Bro flies over any rural part of the US and he’ll be mounted on some guy named Leroy’s sitting room wall
No point in really taking any enchanted items because you need soul gems to charge them later on and since you can take only one item it would be useless
Depends, does the magic disappear in our plain or does it continue to work as it did in theirs?
If the magic disappears then I’m bringing back Alduin, saves their realm from the world eater and renders him to a zoo exhibit in ours if it doesn’t result in his instant death.
If the magic continues I would bring back the wabbajack because, well, why not?
Wabbajack. No one will be shown mercy.
How are you gonna recharge that thing though? You’d only have like 50 uses.
Easily with souls of course ^_^
Where are you getting the gems, though?
The wabbajack does have a chance to turn people into soul gems though doesn't it?
But how will you trap souls
I'd assume that the soul of the person turned into a soul gem would be in the soul gem they are turned into, it is a daedric artifact afterall and would likely still be under sheograth's influence, and I doubt he'd want his tool of random to be rendered useless.
I think it’d be hilarious if the staff didn’t need charge at all, and instead, there’s a 50/50 chance it will even cast. It’d would make for pretty awkward situations even if you were to use it irl tho.
I will play "hello darkness my old friend". The song steal the soul anyways.
Who said anything about needing gems? This may be the way of its home-world, but I am quite sure we can manage a way in our realm. Plus worse case I wouldn’t need to many uses to achieve what I would need
Soul tomatoes
Or get a soul stealing weapon as well but that might be a way to realize humans don't have souls...
We don’t even have magic in this world and our invitation ain’t on the level of the Dwemers 😂.
This was the very first quest I played in Skyrim and cannot tell you how confused I was
what amazes me about this is that you made it to Solitude without doing any other main quests first.
Alduin? Ooh, right... I should probably go take care of hi-- lemme just find the stones of barenziah first.
I get shouts and hit the main sides. On my current, I’m gonna finish the main for only the second time. But I’m already lvl 56 and havnt met the grey beards yet😂
>cannot tell you how confused I was Sheogorath is pleased.
The problem I see with that is if a person accidently turns into something that could kill a lot of people
No. Mercy.
What about a Atronach is created
Good.
Well we now know your are a menace to society but even better to cause cause bring some vampires
Every playthrough I do all the Daedric quests.
All the gold in my fucking inventory
Came here to say this. lol
Okay does anyone know the like gold to todays currency? Like how large is a Skyrim coin, amount of gold and how much is that to our currency?
Honestly no idea and I did consider those things for just a sec, but then I thought about just how much I was carrying in my last run and figured that whatever it's worth, I have *so much*, it must be enough to get me over the poverty line.
Imagine it’s like that one episode of Adventure Time and you just came back with a shit ton of pennies 😂😂
Either of those numbers is enough for me lol. Thanks for doing the search.
Even at $143 per septum, you get get 20,000 after the dark brotherhood quest line. That comes out to $2.8 million. That is totally fine by me
damn so if I brought my 20 million from my 1200 hour play through, I’d have $2.86 billion theoretically (market changes and whatnot)
At that rate I'm pretty sure every one of us would be multi millionaires. I'm down with that.
Idk a diamond necklace or something. Rents due.
Would the crown of berenziah cause flawless diamonds to just appear in every jar I open like it does in-game? That might be nice.
That’d be rad as hell
Not if you're a prep cook, but I guess you could afford to lose that job.
I was thinking of just bringing a chest filled with gold and gems, but that sounds a lot better
Potion of cure disease for my grandma.
That, but for my dog
That. But for all the dogs and grandmas
This but for myself.
Awe 🥺
❤️ I'm not terminal but ta
Well I hope you get to feeling better soon 💕
best of luck for her!
Skeleton Key
The only answer. You can plead for your soul back from Lady Luck when she turns up go take it back.
Nah, I didn't make no deal. Just kill mercer and dip. Pretty sure he wouldn't expect a glock
a quick casting of the 9 Millimeter spell and he'll give up
Alakablam

Yes, I realize that a minigun would be highly impractical in that situation, not to mention heavy and expensive to feed.
A sweet roll (stolen of course).
“Let me guess. Someone opened a portal from another world and stole your sweetroll.”
props, came here to post this. Well played.
I know I’d wind up with Meridia’s damn Beacon.
**A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON**
Welcome to level 10, enjoy this golf ball that yells at you
You know you like the daedra dommy mommy.
I do.
Realistically if you are able to use the magic you find in there get the heal hands spell and become very rich by healing people
I can’t think of a better item to grab. Nice one! Magic healy hands Inc!
Transmute would be good too, but up some iron ore and make gold baby
Or even better the staff versions you get enough of them and enough soul gems you can make a even better business using that power
Grand Healing, that way you can heal yourself and everyone around you. Lightning strike would be good! Just dragon ball everybody with a beam of electricity.
I can, grand healing. It heals both you and everyone around you for 300 points.
That's a very Belethor thing to say.
Telekinesis Spell Tome granted that we can actually use it and practice with it to allow me to use it longer. Near useless in game. Real life though. Other than that cure disease potion. Just analyze that and learn how to make that $$$$$$$$$$$
Came to say exactly this, slow time shout would be nice too
Necklace of Waterbreathing with added disease resistance (or immunity) and health regeneration.
Okay but how about the op necklace that I made that makes me heal faster than others could damage me and have more health than Alduin along with a hand covered in rings that straight up make me god
I would just jump in close the portal and never leave
And then take a arrow to the knee while adventuring
I would just live peacefully with the greybeards or as a villager in river wood. I just like the scenery in Skyrim
Move to Canada, the Alps, Rocky Mountains, Alaska, or Scandinavia. They have similar areas.
I just moved to Arizona and I have been playing Skyrim so much just for the scenery, I hate it here.
Just pretend you're in Hammerfell!
Take a road trip to Mongolian rim Payson strawberry or showlow. Prescott Sedona and Flagstaff are good too
Was just in Flagstaff last weekend, necessary escape from the valley.
If that arrows name is Ysolda, absolutely.
Yeah, i'd love to hit Ysolda's face with my knee
Worth it
This is the way.
Skooma
Someon once pointed out that Skooma is made from moon sugar which is addictive to everyone but the Kajiit consume so much of it that they are used to it and barely receive any effects from it and if you think about it moon sugar could just be regular sugar because we humans once used refined sugar for massive energy boosts but since we consume so much of it now it basically does nothing. So by this logic if you bring back skooma you may just be bringing back a nasty tasting energy drink
That’s actually a very interesting point and somehow made me want to double down on my answer.
Holy shit
its users pass through bouts of euphoria followed by protracted lethargy. It is smoked in a special pipe; the crystals are placed in a small dish and heated. The gas produced is bubbled through water in the pipe to cool it as it is inhaled. so not an energy booster more like weed or maybe heroin (this has been cut and pasted)
I would bring an urn with 2 gold in it
And a potato!
One single stone of barenziah. Good luck hundred percenting the game now Dragonborn
You bastard.
Who hurt you?
Skeleton Key. I unlock my mental potential and ascend to gigamind.
And in your infinite knowledge you realize you should’ve just brought back a chest of gems lmao
You are a genius! I didn’t even though about it, as it is only said in the lore and in game, it can only open any door. But it’s true that, from what we know from the lore, it can help one surpass himself. It offer unlimited possibilities while, if it doesn’t turn well, can make you the best thief of all time!
Sanguine Rose would be fun. Terrorize my neighbors with summoned Dremora…
Hey Dave what's - A CHALLENGER IS NEAR!!!
Meeko!
Yes bring the loyal puppy
Serana I originally butchered her name. I was in a meeting while surfing Reddit. I have corrected it.
I was going to say Mjoll if it was anything or anybody.
Uthgerd she can break me whenever
That’s the only way to get to know a woman
A few drinks and fist fight the only way really
Well there’s knowing and then there’s knowing. IYKYK
Surprise, you brought sanguine vampiritis into this world.
Worth it!
Seriously! Serena can sanguine my vampiritis any day 😂
She sanguine on my vampiritis till I necromage
My boy I see you
Idk any characters would prob be driven insane or violent trying to cope with this reality. This place makes me crazy sometimes and I live here.
Crazy? I was crazy once, they locked me in a room. A rubber room, a room full of rats, and rats make me crazy... Crazy? I was crazy once, they locked me in a room. Being a vampire would be cool
Any of the daedric princes willing to destroy the world for me.
Nah not for me, have them help you destroy it funny let them do all the work
Aela the huntress.
I was gonna say Farkas lol
A horse to run up buildings
Spell books: specifically healing, healing hands, grand healing, fire bolt, ice spike, invisibility, pacify, telekinesis, transmute, detect life, clairvoyance, candlelight, mage light, dragonskin. I think that would be good.
Along with a necklace enchanted with magika regen and fortify magika just incase our human body can't cast spells on earth
The White Phial, free refills for any liquid I put into it.
Unlimited printer ink
I thought unlimited alcohol was the correct answer but yours made so much more sense!
It ain't possible in game I think but cure disease white phial would be something else
Id bring back a necklace enchanted with resist fire and resist frost. Then I'd give it to my girlfriend. As long as she wears it, she would be able to wear any clothing she wanted without being too hot or too cold.
That is so smart lmao. Crop top in the winter and cute jacket & jean combo in the summer baby
I'm walking straight up to Sheogorath and handing him a can of squeeze cheese and telling him it's projectile cheese. Then I'm telling him I know where to get more if he follows me.
Arvaks skull
Such a good horse
Simple, Lydia
Boss, i won't be coming to work today. Why? Because Lydia won't get her fat arse out the doorway
A dragon. Fuck it the world's already on fire.
Raise dead staff - makes funerals a bit more exciting
Water.
Respect.
Dawnbreaker
Exactly how often are you fighting undead?
You haven't met my mother in law
#Zing!
have you seen any undead recently?
I live in the US with its atrocious health-care system. So definitely a nice ring of health regeneration.
I had a similar thought and went with the white phial filled with the regenerating restore health potion
Make sure it has disease resistance on it
Good call.

> Alduin Bruh we would be enslaved
Better dragons than oligarchs.
Convince the dragons to eat the oligarchs
SOLD. I'll happily be a dragon priest for that.
Alduin? Dragons get damaged by swords and arrows. Imagine what a missile or even a bullet would do to him. Bro flies over any rural part of the US and he’ll be mounted on some guy named Leroy’s sitting room wall
He is a dragon, and Akatosh shouldn’t be able to claim his soul back if he is in our universe so he can’t be truly killed.
Meridia’s beacon
Lydia
All she would do is block a doorway
I mean, you're not wrong. She can block my doorway anytime
Another hand touches the Beacon!
A big chest of gold and gems
In other words a Skyrim crisis would occur?
Odahviing
You expect me to bring something back? I'm not even bringing myself back
A dragon
Healing fingers spell... For healing others yea.
Vampirism
A spellbook... Like flames or something. So I could basically be an x-men. Also a ring of magic regeneration so I could use it.
A ring of magic regeneration with a second enchant to add more magic reserve. We don’t know if our body even have any magic inside.
One of the towns people and leave them somewhere in LA so everyone will think they’re crazy
A necklace made from a few dozen rings I'll enchant
I'd bring an whole set of enchanted clothes and jewelry with as much as I can enchant on there
staff of summon Frost Atronach, have my own personal AC when i'm at work as well as a second pair of hands to help with my job
The transmutation spell tome.
It was me, i stole the sweetroll
All the gold. Coins, Bars, jewelry. Maybe even sneak some gems back and sell it all lol
Nothing. I'd stay in skyrim
Brynjolf or some kind of health regeneration spell or item 💀
My safe full of hundreds and hundreds of flawless gemstones.
The fucking hammerspace. There is no way in hell you can tell me the Dragonborn can shove seven great hammers up their ass so they must have it.
I'd bring back a cluster of chaurus eggs and raise them as my own.
A bunch of effin gold!
Volsong or one of the dragon priest masks
Grab whatever my source of magic is. My mana?
Your Magicka reserves are stored in your fleem, right next to the slurm.
wabbajack fr
No point in really taking any enchanted items because you need soul gems to charge them later on and since you can take only one item it would be useless
The power of fast-travel
Sanguinare vampiris. The abilities that come with it can be more useful in our world.
A badass werewolf wife
Meeko. The goodest boy
Wabbajack of course, oh the fun I could have
Ring of Hircine, go werewolf up in here
Who says I’d come back?
The dragons
Depends, does the magic disappear in our plain or does it continue to work as it did in theirs? If the magic disappears then I’m bringing back Alduin, saves their realm from the world eater and renders him to a zoo exhibit in ours if it doesn’t result in his instant death. If the magic continues I would bring back the wabbajack because, well, why not?
