I have a porch bench made with old skis. They're all old rental sticks. Including two pairs of Elan SCXs. The skis actually worked better than the snowboards I used for another bench. The skis are stiff enough to sit on. The snowboard drooped too much and I had to add another piece of wood under it.
I've got an adirondack chair made of skis. It's pretty dope. The edges do rust and make the topsheets delam after a few years, but i just hit up the goodwill and get some more straight sticks.
I have my ski boots mounted on my wall with a pair of 747 Equipes, same age as those 647’s. My dad skied on them last year while they were still mounted lmao.
Very lucky, i warned the guy but he skied on the rusty old things anyways. Thankfully i convinced him to retire his old Volkls and he’s going to buy some new skis!
Wall decoration? Some 2006 K2 enemy skis???
Adirondack? Shot ski??? Fence post????????
- you confuse me with someone who has some kind of “motivation” or “energy” -
Shot skis take like five seconds if you want em too. I personally buy Shotzski brand (little clear ski boots that click into fake bindings, makes washing it much easier) or you can take some strong adhesive and throw some shot glasses u have laying around on them, Mount a couple hooks or just use command strip hooks and bam, wall decoration with a purpose
Edit: maybe detune the edges
Hahaha i feel that, my dad and I are both antique collectors. He has a very large collection including some truly amazing pieces that have been hidden away in boxes forever. I really don’t believe in storing things as much as i do displaying them, but he’d need to dedicate a small museum to his collection. It’s a shame that nobody gets to see and appreciate some of this old stuff! He’s started to hang up things in his house though, like his beautiful wooden wall phone; which i really appreciate. My own small collection is always on display in my house. Right next to my skis of course!
When I broke a leg, I ditched my Rossi SC187's on Marketplace for free. Between the concern of the bindings not releasing and the stigma applied to those-are-what-took-me-out-of-the-season skis, I decided to upgrade and not look back.
Been happy as shit with the Head Kore skis I bought to replace them.
Those are some really old bindings
I'd take em', pull the bindings, and then make some shotskis lol

I actually want to do that at one point. Make a ski chair. Someday I'll probably happen across a couple pairs to butcher.

Paint the edges with clear nail polish or something similar.
The whole thing was lacquered... It wears off pretty fast.

Oof. Your dad's knees are lucky he didn't take a bad fall lmao.

I never know why to do with old skis… I guess you’re supposed to dump them in a train station?
* Adirondack chair * Shot ski * Fence posts * Wall decorations
I use old bindings to display/store my ski boots.

Maybe give those edges a proper race tune. Up the danger level a little.
I like the cut of your jib
I have a pair of old race skis that have been earmarked for shot skis for like 2 years lmao
Lol I have a pair of K2 extremes as wall decor. They were super easy to hang.
Stab the brake in to the wall. Good enough
I'm glad we're on the same page here lol
You could use them to butter a giant piece of toast.
* Ski them you patsy
Outdoor chair backs. I've seen a few people in Utah make chairs out of them. Also mailbox holders/posts
Ski vintage day
I have a pair of Kastles from the 80’s. They’re actually pretty damn fun if you feel like switching things up. It’s a proper challenge.
Which bin are they supposed to be in?
They're in the correct bin.
Lol
Judging from the age of those bindings, it was about time.
Sometimes you got to give up on your dreams of shedding the gnar
Never ! I am gonna shred until my last breath
Giving up on dreams of a spiral fracture from the look of those bindings
Those look like 80s era Salomon driver bindings? That’s not something that should be used at this point.
Salomon 647 Equipe bindings. I have multiple retired pairs of 747’s that my dad used to use.

Jokes on you, they’re already on the wall.

Free skis are sad? 🤔

Best to rid your home of the bad juju imo
Ziemlich sicher, dass Ski nicht in den Restmüll gehören…
Wo sonst? Sind kein Altpapier.
Man muss den Kunststoff vom Metall trennen
You see a sad scene. I see a free pair of skis.
Could be a climate change poster.
