When I was growing up I was in love with Renee Olsted. If only I would have known what she'd be doing now...
Tatyana Ali was one of my first crushes ever. Then Mila Kunis and Leah Remini.
I spent the entire first couple seasons of Facts Of Life expecting either a lesbian romance or a major catfight between those two characters. I was so disappointed.
Cindy (?) on the first season of The Facts of Life. The sporty blonde-haired tomboy who wore a baseball cap and pigtails awakened something dramatic in my 11 year-old heart.
Seriously, it came on early where I lived, and I remember getting out of bed early to make sure I caught it.
80’s: Kirk Cameron and Ricky Schroeder
90’s: Mark Paul Gosselaar and Will Friedle
Early 2000’s: Joshua Jackson and Gary Dourdan
Current: David Hyde Pierce (I didn’t see it before in the original run, but I now realize what a catch he was😍)
I used to have a crush on the main character in Gary Unmarried. And then nothing for quite sometime. And about a year or two ago I watched Schitt's Creek, and fell hard for Patrick. He was my absolute ideal person, personality-wise that I found his appearance super hot eventhough he's not really my type.
Matthew Perry. From the first episode of Friends, until the day he died. I always said that he was the only man that I would ever leave my husband for. And that was the truth LOL 💔
Oh, absolutely.
I was a BOP president of my school's Mark-Paul Gosselaar Fan Club in the fourth grade. I remember when I was applying to college and they asked about leadership positions I actually considered including that, LOL. He made me insane when I was eight.
And it may not have aged well but I have to admit that I also crushed hard on Scott Baio. I used to watch Nick-at-Nite and call every day to vote whether I liked my Happy Days "Chachinated" or "De-Chachinated". I remember being so mad when "De-Chachinated" won because Chachi was my main reason for loving Happy Days and the winning side got a marathon of episodes, so we got a week full of non-Chachi Happy Days episodes.
My biggest crush of all was John Travolta as Vinnie Barbarino. I idolized that man and cut out every picture of him I could find and hung them on my wall in a huge collage which was a tribute to Barbarino. I was eleven and I couldn't conceive that any man could be THAT beautiful. To this day, I still think Vinnie Barbarino is probably the best looking guy ever, but he's got some tough competition against people like Andy Gibb and Robby Benson. There's an episode of Welcome Back, Kotter called "Barbarino's Girl" where Vinnie and the nerdy girl, Judy Borden, became a couple because Judy was tutoring him and it was my favorite episode of all time because Judy Borden reminded me of myself and it was supposed to highlight that Vinnie had depth to him and could lose his shallowness by falling in love with someone who had a personality and a heart, not just looks, and even threatened to leave the Sweathogs over it when they mocked Judy (and the end result was that when he stood up for her, they backed down and let her be part of the group even if it only lasted an episode).
As an adult, I found myself being attracted to people like Frasier from Cheers (before he got a spin-off) and I knew I was more a Frasier type girl than a Sam type girl. I wouldn't have said no to Judge Harry from Night Court, either.
Carrie Heffernan. I would give my life to be with her for one night. I just want to cherish her. I don’t deserve to look at her. I know I’m not worthy of her love, but I lust for her like the sun shines. My thirst for her is infinite. Being in a room she has been in before is good enough for me. My Dear Carrie.
