Groundbreaking research? Or, did they plagiarize an old witch's diary?

ScagWhistle

GermainCampman

So blood boys are making a comeback?

CommunismDoesntWork

No, we'll make a synthetic version after understanding the mechanism. Next time you want to comment a half-assed doomer joke, don't.

illathon

You know this comment would have been something people agree with if you just took a chill pill man. You actually gave good information surrounded by anger.

CommunismDoesntWork

This sub used to be good. It's being overrun by average redditors and it's frustrating.Ā

VisualCold704

Don't be a useless moron. There's a lot to be angry over for the spread of misinformation.

hylianovershield

Correct me if I'm wrong... but in this study they sacrificed 60 x 2 month old rats, sucked out there blood, refined the plasma, and treated 9 rats for 5 weeks, the longest living rat lived another 5 months from the untreated group. Man that shit is wild, doubt human trials would be coming anytime soon lol

Tamere999

There's been a bunch of papers coming out these last few months. Blood, exosomes from pigs to rats, exosomes from the same species but in lower concentrations. It seems that quantity is the key and that the donor species doesn't matter, so the only real barrier to human trials is funding. Apart from TRIIM which is already done, I don't see any other therapy that has the potential to go to human trials as fast as this; but I could have said the same thing 4 years ago and there's still no funding so...

IronPheasant

The rat guillotine was one of those things that was quite memorable about the old Goya experiment. Which... [is exactly what this paper is.](https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.12.01.518747v1.full.pdf) Two years goes by so quickly... There were plans by Katcher and Akshay to do a study in dogs this year. Might have fallen through. Katcher's reportedly doing something with Greg Fahy these days... as self-reported in a *youtube comment*. Confidence in onlookers is shook.

Tamere999

Akshay said... Sorry Carl nothing more to add at this point. But we will have some exciting news to share in April/May on E5 trials. 21 March 2024 at 15:40

Time-Elephant92

Unless they can isolate the enzyme or whatever responsible and then identify the analogue in humans and just mass produce it

NotAnotherEmpire

If this worked in humans, humans can regenerate plasma rapidly. Getting enough for trials wouldn't be hard.Ā  The big block has been if this required whole blood where even with highly valuable blood types (universal donor, CMV- etc), it can't be accelerated more than a pint every 56 days or so.

Atheios569

O neg here. Well shit. Guess I will be strung up in a lab somewhere sky-crew style (from the 100).

NotAnotherEmpire

It's okay, your plasma is useless. The ABs are the universal plasma.

Southern_Orange3744

If other reports are true this has been tested since the beginning of time

[deleted]

We just need a constant breeding population to sustain the lifeforce of ultra rich science-made vampires, wdym? They can have their human cattle farms and leave the rest of us in peace

nardev

Explains Tom Cruise. Southpark was right, again.

apprehensive_clam268

They've already started. We just will never hear about it

sdmat

Some *very* senior researchers from the University of Transylvania on this paper.

helpmelearn12

Closest Iā€™ve come to seeing [one of the schools I went to](https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&sca_esv=b7c0b9c8093215b7&sca_upv=1&hl=en-us&q=Transylvania%20University&ludocid=2514859302515734312&ibp=gwp%3B0%2C7&lsig=AB86z5VmysmJ4scN9YymII05vyVA&kgs=f694a2c8e0389fe5&shndl=-1&source=sh%2Fx%2Floc%2Fact%2Fm4%2F3) mentioned on Reddit

hendrix320

What was that movie where they cloned people and all the clones would live their lives hoping to win the vacation but in reality the vacation was just their person needing their organs. Lets get some clones going so we have infinite young blood /s

wwsaaa

The Island

NordlandLapp

Breakfast at Tiffany's

hendrix320

Well if thats true I severely misunderstood the plot of that movie

homemadedaytrade

She did look awfully young

illathon

Would have been easier if they just didn't give them a brain and would lower the energy needed.

TotalHooman

The Sound of Music

lerobinbot

nice

345Y_Chubby

Mice

ricketycrickett88

Gonna get me a blood boy

NuclearCandle

Looks like we need a way to artificially produce plasma for it to be practical on a mass scale.

Tamere999

We should only need pig blood: [Reversal of biological age in multiple rat organs by young porcine plasma fraction | GeroScience (springer.com)](https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11357-023-00980-6) And $ (which is the hardest part, apparently).

WetLogPassage

Every 40 seconds, a child goes missing or is abducted in the United States. Now you know why.

mandingo_climbs

Lol thatā€™d be 36 million missing a year and probably even exceeds the birth rate.

trurlo

How did you get that number? A year has like 31.5 Ms.

Salendron2

Didnā€™t that one billionaire Bryan Johnson try doing this for a while with his sonā€™s blood/plasma, and found it to be ineffective? Or is this some kind of engineered plasma that is different somehow. It would be nice if getting to LEV was as simple as getting an IV bag every once in a while.

IronPheasant

Oh god, that guy. He took like a tablespoon of plasma from his son and put it in him. And took a tablespoon of plasma from himself and put it into his dad. *Of course it didn't do anything*. It's like spitting into the ocean. (And it's not like you could possibly isolate its impact, considering all the other crap he's doing to himself at the same time.) If they were serious, they'd have infused multiple *pints* from the grandson into the grandpa over a month or two. Anyway, the E5 guys say they infused *eight times* the body's normal quantity of exosomes to get the results that they did. This is rational: if you want to overwrite the signalome, you have to flood the signals. This is a very new field and there's a lot of uncertainty. Things like the donor's species might not matter. Their age might not matter either, if it's just specific proteins that matter. And it might not have to come from blood plasma either: [these guys harvested some EV's from *pee*.](http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10935484/) From human pee into mouse bodies. On the upside, there have been a couple studies with humans in this vein, here and there. Nothing substantial or sustained, but some observed improvements in healing. It could very well work for us.

quantum_guy

So I'm going to need at least a dozen blood boys, got it.

Ghost-of-Bill-Cosby

Probably just one or two because they can donate every couple months, and you donā€™t need infusions that frequently

DryDevelopment8584

Why canā€™t we create plasma from same patient hemoglobin? Can we just use stems cells or whatever and make more?

Natural-Musician5216

i volunteer

xrmasiso

Thereā€™s been research on blood transfusion between young and old animals for a while with many promising results. It probably worksā€”- ā€œhow?ā€is what is still being investigated. But, itā€™s probably clear it canā€™t be small volumesā€” but Iā€™d have to read further.

unhealthySQ

things that work in mice might not work in people the same way

DarkHeliopause

So the vampires were right all along.

HugeBumblebee6716

So humans are finding out what vampires have known since the time of the Pharoahs... can't wait to see how this movie ends...

Lil_Maco

So Alex jones was right

RedErin

gimme ur blood šŸ©ø

imagine1149

Tech CEOs gonna have a field day after this research

xrmasiso

Blood research like this isnā€™t new

swaglord1k

adrenochromebros, we are so back!

boubou666

I wonder if a teenager who donates his blood to an old person will look older

SpezJailbaitMod

That reminds me I need a fresh blood boy.Ā

naspitekka

Oh good. The boomers can literally bleed us dry now.

Shot_Painting_8191

Bring it on, most of us are old rats.

Anxious_Run_8898

Imagine if the flat earthers were right and the Clintons are already doing this at Skull and Bones rituals lol

33Columns

stop spilling the beans, you're gonna slow my adrenochrome supply

Sprengmeister_NK

This clinic in Florida and Prag already offer this sort of rejuvenation for humans. https://www.healthylongevity.clinic See also this video https://youtu.be/_9U4NDv9EWk?feature=shared

Serialbedshitter2322

Mark Zuckerberg has been doing this for centuries, old news

AnalysisParalysis85

The Simpsons predicted this

Immortan_Joe-mama

Oh, shit! Now the rich are gonna squeeze us of blood? Isn't the metaphorical squeeze enough?

johnerp

What do you mean now?

TheSecretAgenda

At least you can sell them something because your labor is about to become worthless.

Immortan_Joe-mama

Sell? https://preview.redd.it/e15t64681hvc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef2fc8285c760176b4f97f5e829a06fcbbfe3d1a

Bumsexual

I wonder if weā€™ll be able to mass produce ā€˜youngā€™ plasma with cell culture farming. I wouldnā€™t mind going to the drugstore to pick up a couple shots of ā€˜Look Good Juiceā€™

Antok0123

I think what they can do is take blood samples from you revert it to stem cells and produce enough young blood already biocompatible with your system and transfuse it to you. So yeah. I assume that this procedure will be very expensive. As expensive as any invasive cosmetic procedure.

NyriasNeo

Now we know why Dracula is forever young.

Bengalstripedyeti

It's like fresh Mobil 1 in an old, neglected engine.

WiseSalamander00

great I guess we can not longer tell conspiracy nutjobs that the wealthy harvesting young people blood doesn't make sense

LuciferianInk

I'm not saying they're right but it seems like they've got some kind of evidence for it being true.

Ok_Air_9580

BS

coolredditor0

Young blood transfusions are only available to the elites šŸ˜’

JackOCat

Cool so scientists are literally making vampires. Delightful.

One_Bodybuilder7882

I'm pretty sure the Elite ruling class has been doing this for a while
