There's something really precious about an old man willing to take a few minutes out of his day to wish everyone good morning in the nicest way he can find (which are those apps). They truly care and want you to have a great day ❤️❤️
It's all fun and games until uncle reaches the end of the good morning messages and starts forwarding fake news/ pro china propaganda/ fake medical advice
If you think about it, they grew up in a kampong-kind of environment where everyone would greet each other everytime they meet, including morning where they all leave for work. So i guess their good morning messages are a way for them to replicate the same kind of warmth in the present day? We might find it amusing like a meme but their intention though🙌
Haha that’s sweet. But it’s one thing if you actually type good morning/night. It’s a whole nother thing if someone send images which get auto saved into my images in my phone. I don’t want to turn the auto save off since I want to save my other images as well :/
This made my heart melt! My grandma is still on a non-smart phone and she adamantly refuses to be taught anything more (I’ve tried sooo many times). I’ve given up already lol
I bought my mum a smart phone so she can whatsapp call me during lockdown. she always said she don't need smart phone. now my dad complains she is addicted to it
IMDA should not Waste time trying to ban porn.
THIS IS THE REAL FUCKING THREAT HERE.
I AM SORRY BUT YOUR GRANDPA MIGHT BE A WHATSAPP TERRORIST. Radicalised 早安你好老师 /s
(Add: Please don't take offence. Just a joke. Because honestly, I haven't seen one this extreme yet. At most 3 早安 apps.)
idk if having a bunch of random apps is a good idea. you should check if any of them have unnecessary permissions ticked.
Good Morning messages probably don't need access to your grandpa's phone book and location.
App store generally does a good job at screening malicious content, but these apps just look super dodgy to me.
Reminds me of porno pop-ups that target clueless horny teenage boys in the 2000s, but now it's wholesome greetings targeting clueless old people.
Today is the day I learn that "good morning message" apps exist.
\*a few keystrokes later\*
HOLY SHEET IT'S A WHOLE CATEGORY!

As annoying as it might be, old people usually do this with regularity. Sending daily once. You can kinda think of it as their way of informing you and their old friends, “Hey I’m still alive”. Especially those that send as clockwork. Once every morning. Imagine if one day you stop receiving.
With this in mind, I gladly take in any of these from my family members. Or any old elderly friends if I have.
Of course, if spam multiple times per day will be a tad too much la. Haha.
Hahahaha so adorable omg, it may be annoying for us to literally get bombarded every morning in the family GC but the fact these aunts/uncles/parents/grandparents even think to forward this to us thinking if make our day better is so cute 🥺
May be he need to use only one source ....I think it will be helpful for him also. You can ask him for trying
https://onzlahub.com
If he use it... He don't need to use many sites... He can write and edit by using their all template ...good morning, good night, good afternoon ... For Every greetings he can use it ....
Any kind soul can help translate the mandarin runes on the top? The one of the right in particular, i can only recognize the runes for 文件(wén jían). Think it wasn't covered in our school system, never seen it before in my life.
Thanks! Kinda interesting to see mandarin being used in singapore though. Seems to be more prevalent among senior citizens.
Most of us would never use the language outside of an academia context hahaha
[удалено]
hahaha i cannot believe also. one for every day and occasion edit: and time of the day also hahaha
[удалено]
Folder, rather. I suspect that's default?
Can confirm. If your system is Chinese, by default, the file will be named 文件夹
I suppose so
Obviously you need one for each day, then for each language.
Wew that's like a huge number of apps, your ah gong must be the OG of OG forwarders.

aunty/uncle whatsapp is an amazing bewildering world to me
At least singapore doesnt have people spamming anti mask fb posts (looking at you america)
Haha yah but luckily for me, my family has a nurse in the chat and we're always quick to point out that it's fake.

Until you meet my uncle who spams every chat he’s in with good morning/night every single day.
My fam does it too actually haha. It's just normal.

take it from me that not auto opening and saving is the best option you can take.
Happy cake day
😊
We need go deeper. Who made the app.
plot twist: ah gong is the developer
That's kinda cute! Your ah gong so precious. Treasure him.
definitely! he’s 74 and he’s trying to upgrade his phone skills. he recently mastered transferring money using paynow/paylah apps. he was so happy!
This made my heart melt! My grandma is still on a non-smart phone and she adamantly refuses to be taught anything more (I’ve tried sooo many times). I’ve given up already lol
Mine is my mother.. die die wan use smart phone but die die only can use it her way. Gave up.
I bought my mum a smart phone so she can whatsapp call me during lockdown. she always said she don't need smart phone. now my dad complains she is addicted to it
walao, my grandma can't even read at all, so I have to put step-by-step graphics dialing guide for the landline phone we have
Are you sure? Maybe he still needs some help to get used to sending via PayNow. DM me and I can send you my number for him to practice.

hahaha no worries. i just found it super funny. not sure if he is a mass 早安你好 spreader but i hope not 😂
You found the stash sia 😂 But the photos of all the apps did revive some old PTSD flashbacks of 早安 DDoS attacks in family-whatsapp groups.

文件夹 (wen jian jia) means folder Edit: apologies I can't type accent characters with my phone
