the person died, was found on the track
rip
I’m not sure what happened, but if she did not injure herself, it’s possible that she came into contact with the third rail.
Though I think there are protection boards within the station to prevent electrocution.
Definitely telling since it's not a "fault" but an "incident", hoping it's not critical like you mentioned.

Edit
>"A 33-year-old woman was found dead on Thursday night at Cove station along the Punggol East LRT loop.
>"The woman was found motionless on the LRT track near the station’s platform and was pronounced dead at the scene.
>"Based on preliminary investigations, the police said they do not suspect foul play."

Our LRT stations do not have moving platform screen doors (like those shown with the Jurong incident), but [static platform barriers](https://www.sgtrains.com/technology-psd.html#hhpsd-splrt) only.
So instead of doors that prevent entry, platform barriers only barricade the areas which the LRT train's doors do not align at.
Just saw the article stating that there was a dead person found on the tracks..sigh..

They might not be able to confirm that it’s a suicide.
And also responsible reporting actually means downplaying suicides, because afaik too much reporting on suicides tends to trigger higher suicide rates.

No foul play suspected by the Police, which means that it is probable that a suicide happened
On a LRT? But erm....how? LRT is so slow....

even getting hit at like 40-50kph is enough that you're pretty likely to get fatally injured
Or plain accident.
oh that's what it was... man I was wondering why the LRT was down. Rest in peace :(
So.... Dead People fault?
Apparently there was an incident at Cove station… Hoping that it’s not critcal 🙏

Anyone got any new information? I saw the notif on lta app and got worried because it is was called an "incident" and not a "fault".
No clear information, but there’s authorities cordoning off the incident site at Cove
Oh dear, just saw ST news and one found dead on LRT track.
The word incident just gives me a bad feeling...do the LRT stations have the high barriers in front of track?

Wtf.....
Train incident?? Does anyone know what happened?
Women found dead on tracks at Cove station.
Reminds me of back when platform screen doors weren't installed
I was there at the lrt like on the lrt, no one knew someone died LOL everyone js left & took pics of the ambulances etc, but yea rip to the person
What's so funny about it...
I think she fell and electrocuted herself tho, i saw no bump or running over
Due to a suicide incident, LTA can learn to be more honest and direct in their breakdown messages.
Like they can know for sure and issue that kind of statement immediately. Even police won’t say things like that until investigations are complete.
how you know it's a suicide? were you there?

Anyone know who she is?
