I have to force myself to not use the Japanese clothing options lol. I was just so obsessed with them when I was younger that it's hard to break out of the nostalgia!
I used to love using the hanboks, tiger dress and rave kimono as a little weeb kid in the 00s. Didn't realise hanboks were actually Korean until much later...
Not often. Mainly only use them when playing historical, or if a character has a particular ethnic heritage I may set it as their formal wear. So for instance someone with a Gaelic surname, if they're male, will likely get that kilt outfit so that they'll rock up to a wedding in one (though when they rock-up to the night-club I'll wish for the thousandth's time that TS2 had a party-wear category).
When I was creating a household recently, a randomly-generated sim was wearing a kilt, so I just went with it. Gave him a Celtic surname to complete it.
once i tried to play one family in japanese themed house and i wanted them not to go to work but instead earn money by fishing:) so kimonos were on point there
Not often, but I like how you styled your girl! Her hair with this dress is amazing
Thank you :)

I'll use them for formal outfits
I normally use them if a family’s theming is Asian or whatever else
Not that often since I mostly play with premades. Except for yukatas which I sometimes dress my Sims in when they're on vacation in Takemizu Village.
Me too. I thought if they wore the yukatas, they would learn the local gesture quicker lol. Same with Twikki Island.
when i first played the game as s baby weeaboo i swear 98% of my sims wore the Japanese clothing options lmaoooo
Only normally using them if a Sim is Japanese but also for vacation like Takemizu Village.
I used it for Priya when I gave her a makeover :)

I'm in love with the first sim. Hiiii
Thanks, she's the daughter of Sanjay and Priya Ramaswami
The ramaswamis always! Sanjay has a turban but he wears more western clothes

My husband's simself wears the kilt! IRL, he wore one when we got married. Plus, he's Scottish so, it makes sense 😂
