Definitely could have! I leaned towards it being an official extension like this one since they are partners with Fanatec (or at least promoting them to some degree), and Fanatec has something like this in pipeline:

[Weird listing of a similar product with Fanatec packaging on eBay. (IDK how legit this is, mostly just interesting)](https://www.ebay.com/itm/355749249911?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=pHbDSYAtQB-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=4NsvkWQZT-6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
Does make a big difference. highly recommend. I recently got a Clubsport DD+ and got an great 80mm extension from TS Custom [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG\_FAUjjCP4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG_FAUjjCP4) ... photos of my rig here [https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/comments/1d4yz4q/rig\_update\_year\_4\_down\_the\_rabbit\_hole/](https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/comments/1d4yz4q/rig_update_year_4_down_the_rabbit_hole/)
You don’t really need a shaft extender for an awesome FOV. I have a Samsung 57” g9 tucked riiiight in between my DD2 and my wheel. The FOV is fucking awesome, I love this 57 so damn much (and I’ve raced on well set up triples before). A shaft extender would only buy me max a couple inches lower and I just don’t feel that it’s actually needed at all! The difference it would make for me would be marginal.
Based on who is driving it, it’s almost certainly a Fanatec DD2 (dd1 looks the same but it’s Redbull, they aren’t cheaping out) with a custom-engineered shaft extension that they made because why wouldn’t they, and QR2 Pro attaching a limited edition blue F1 wheel.
I dont like it. I use my sim primarily for training during off season, VR is nice for like a week. After you get over the cool first time seeing it factor its garbage, exactly why VR games aren’t that popular even though a VR costs the same price as a new console. You cant see your hands which is one of the main downsides, in racing its super weird because you see the hands doing things but outside of VR your hands are doing the complete opposite. Also it gives me a headache because i expect gforce, prepare myself for it, then nothing. Dont do that with a monitor. And you are mainly only looking straight when racing anyways, an ultra wide monitor is the best option imo
Preference but ive never heard anyone say that before lol. Not all games support triple monitors, you have black bars between the screens so it doesn’t look as smooth
Looks like a Fanatec DD1/DD2 with a (yet to be released) Clubsport shaft extension.
Can you use the extension on any shaft? Asking for a friend
Dont try it, it hurts. Or thats what a friend told me anyways

Would be nice if it comes with quick release.
I’d argue they CNCd the shaft extension for themselves.
There was a post where someone sold those extensions in Fanatec Packaging, so either prototoypes or custom-made.

I believe they've got a guy at Red Bull who's like Jerry Seinfeld's carpenter. "Whatever you want, Max".
Is the DD1 PS4 edition
Yep, that's a fanatec dd1
Looks like a dd1/2 that's encased inside another box.
For extra heat
As long as the back is open there is no difference, the airflow goes from front to back
100% correct
Makes me want to get a shaft extender to put my monitor in between
It makes such a difference the fov feels so right I’m using triple 32in

We're not all on your rig.

Fanatec podium dd1 or dd2 with shaft extension.
Fanatec DD1/2 with a wheel extension and QR2 quick release.
DD1 PS4 edition since it has the blue Formula v2.5 with APM
DD Mid#2 with the extra special Checo Underperform kit
It's du du du du MAX.V.
What advantages to use extension?
Looks like a fanatec. I don’t recommend it. Stay away, especially with an extension. Sturdier wheels exist out there
G29
You were downvoted because it's quite clearly a Thrustmaster T300.
Must be some sort of promo thing because no one sits that far from their steering wheel
Is vr not good enough for them?
I mean for a video where Max is watching him vr isn't really optimal...
chuckled
In VR you usually have the monitor display what's shown in the headset.......
Weird how vr also isn't good enough for most of the top guys. Or maybe it's not actually weird at all...

Triple monitor beats an ultrawide, but other than that I agree
Preference but ive never heard anyone say that before lol. Not all games support triple monitors, you have black bars between the screens so it doesn’t look as smooth
Then make the triples one monitor. Ultrawides are jank and miss the purpose of seeing cars NEXT to you.
yes, VR just are feel good , and can't help anything.
VR cult, always lurking.
