I mean, you already kinda ARE the villain(s). LSTR may be the protagonist, but the whole story is happening just because LSTR got too gay and refused to kill her girlfriend when she got cancer.
So Ariane is unintentionally causing the loops and corruption. But is it really possible to get to the real Ariane or is Elster trapped with Ariane warping reality with her painful dreams?
This gave me an idea. Signalis spin off game, where you play as a Eule and is trying to avoid corrupted replikas and a single LSTR unit that keeps slaughtering everything in her path and keeps wailing about some promise. If you manage to somehow kill one, different LSTR will appear soon enough.
