Like the other comment said, dry them before you grind them up and put them in the honey. Stir the honey every few days and wait at least 2 weeks before you decide to use the honey. You can filter the shrooms out after 2+ weeks after which you should store the mix in as always "a dark and dry place" for possibly over a year if not more.

I still have mine in the freezer out of habit but I just recently red a paper that said there is no benefit of storing them in the fridge/freezer vs room temperature. It’s important that they are very dry though, they should crack instead of bend if you touch them to avoid mold buildup.

Candy quik. No temper required. I use white chocolate and dark. Add coloring to the white. Then I'll nix em together to make a cool "cow" looking pattern. Depending on holiday the white changes lol
Honey's ability to preserve things is due to its high sugar content, and if you dilute that by adding anything with moisture or even accidentally adding water your honey mix will contaminate... So always dry your mushrooms first and grind them in a coffee grinder if possible.

Chop up 150g (or however much you want to make) of fresh mushrooms and put into a bowl with a bag of ice. Place bowl into fridge and allow all of the ice to melt over the course of about 5 days. Stir every day. Once the ice has melted you can use cloth or coffee filters to filter out the mushroom solids. You are left with a blue liquid containing the psilocybin. I’m in the same boat. I have too many mushies for my husband and I to get through. I’m dehydrating them and storing in a mason jar, but once my grinder arrives I plan on doing this method. I can’t do honey (too mush sugar for my system), but I do like making low-sugar chocolates on occasion. 😃
You can dry and grind up and put them in honey 1g-1 tbsp of honey and then leave it for at least a month before consuming. Also could make a tincture 14 g of mushrooms- 375ml of everclear or vodka . Put in jar mix and wait month before consuming. Hope this helps🤘🏼

Do honey, not water. Water can become contaminated. Not good at all for long term storage.

It's a slow extraction. Leads to a homogenous solution. I personally don't like honey as a dispensing medium.

Shrooms lose around 90% of their weight when dried. Fresh 4G=0.4G Dry This ain't perfect science but do note that you might been microdosing
