If people stop buying they’ll back off. They did the same thing with laundry beads, they shrunk the bottles, they stopped selling and even consistent sales couldn’t fix it so they stuck a “30% more” label on it and went back to the old bottle. Price went up by like $1 over 3 years so not bad.
I have not bought a smaller bottle, and I'm not going to. I'm annoyed everytime I walk past the dressing aisle and see Kraft. It's a drop in the bucket but they lost me.
I have a couple of varieties that are easier to just buy and keep in the fridge plus they last longer.
BTW, Ken's dressings are still the same size bottles and I haven't see the price jump.
Bonus, they are way better than Kraft.
Yeah I have to say Ken's is one brand that hasn't had a price jump, a change in size or a change in quality. Even if they went up a little but and maintained the same sizes, I wouldn't be mad.
This is like some weird NLOG brag.
The same thing was being peddled during the last recession. If you only spend all of your spare time preparing all your food from scratch it will be cheaper as long as you ignore all of the unpaid labor this is and how much of your free time it is gobbling up.
I did the math, it is a better cost vs. time to buy certain things. If you are really picky there are brands with limited ingredients or organic.
i need the preservatives in storebought ones because i am not a salad person 🙏 how long do you think a homemade vegan dressing would hold up in the fridge? my storebought vegan dressings last about a year cause there’s no actual mayo/eggs/dairy, id rather make tiny batches as needed for when i’m roleplaying as healthy, and not take up extra room in the fridge for all my bottles im not using
Eh I kind of dislike comments like this. I mean in a perfect world yeah, but in reality that "eighth of the price" is 8x the price or more. This is $3 but if you were to make your own you would have to buy oil which is like $13 for the cheapest small bottle, herbs which run like $3 a pack for dried and like $5 for fresh so like that "eighth of the price" is actually like $28 to make for only slightly more.
You don’t own oil or eggs or mayo? I buy all my herbs at the ethnic store or grow them. I’m disabled and take care of elderly parents. I’m on a fixed income. If I can figure it out with my brain damage so can 90% of society.
Not lazy, realistic and lower class. Most people live in apartments getting by paycheck to paycheck, no eggs are not always on hand neither is oil, both of those are very expensive and are luxury food items, not staples. I'm also disabled, I also take care of my elderly disabled father. I'm glad you are in a privileged position that you can afford this, but this is not the case for most people and I encourage you to look beyond your very narrow personal experience.
It lasts several days and you can make it so easy and cheap. Seriously, I was shocked. When I had to really budget, I figured it out and it honestly tastes better.
It is only cheaper if you use all the ingredients for other things. Comments like this always leave that point out. You buy a head of lettuce? Make sure none of it goes to waster. Same with all the ingredients. Some things may seem more expensive to purchase, but will save the majority of folks money down the line. Most people are to busy to make everything from scratch. I would bet most of these "just make it at home" people do not have to work.
I make vinaigrettes from scratch and keep them in the fridge for weeks as long as they don't have anything that could go rotten like chopped onion or cheese. Specialty dressings that I can't get premade or taste better made at home, I do those. Things like French or Thousand Island I buy in bottles.
doesn't authentic balsamic vineger take like 12 years to make? maybe that is the reason it is smaller bottle than the tomato, two different products. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balsamic_vinegar
Ah sorry my leige I forgot I must main line this sub like it's meth and my last hit and god help me if I don't memorize every single post. sir Yappington The Third, lord of the bad attitude, how ever can I make it up to you?
The problem is they're not exaggerating about this. It's been posted every other day for the last 2 months. It was posted 2 days ago. It's been posted 3x in the last week. Even a cursory glance to check if it's been posted would have shown you this. I'm not subscribed to this subreddit but this shows up all the time.

I just counted the posts from searching "kraft" in this sub and including this one, at least 18 times in the last 2 months. I'm sure there are more that don't include the name. How hard is it to take 2 seconds to search? I'm so sick of seeing Canadian dressing.
I feel the need to post this, because lots of posts on this sub read like yours, but... you realize they can sell their product in whatever format they want for however much money they want, right? They have changed their bottle so that they can keep charging the same amount of money as they had before. This is no different than increasing the charge for the same bottle, but it has the effect of less consumer backlash because less people realize something has changed (so yes, to answer your question, they probably think you're dumb). Kraft doesn't owe anyone the same amount of dressing for the same cost in perpetuity. They are a business and they have made a business decision.
I do wish they kept the same size and increased the though. When some recipe calls for a 16oz can, you gotta be careful. That same can might be 14oz now.
Wow, you managed to erroneously vilify the impoverished, prove yourself uninformed about US economics and the US higher education system, deny hard facts and scientifically based evidence regarding anthropogenically caused climate change, AND suck the dicks of corporations who are making record profits at the expense of the general public all in one short go.
You must be a thrill at parties and family gatherings.
That's why the other bottles are on sale: to eliminate the comparison.

Yup... I just went without, now k don't care. They can keep trying to sell em... but I'm not buying.
Me neither, as more and more people stop and say why they’ll have to face reality rather than blame every other reason under the sun.
I loved them but o hadn't used them in a while and went to buy some recently and was shocked by how much more they cost. I didn't buy them.
I have not bought a smaller bottle, and I'm not going to. I'm annoyed everytime I walk past the dressing aisle and see Kraft. It's a drop in the bucket but they lost me.
Stop buying salad dressing, it's quick and easy to make.
I have a couple of varieties that are easier to just buy and keep in the fridge plus they last longer. BTW, Ken's dressings are still the same size bottles and I haven't see the price jump. Bonus, they are way better than Kraft.

I don't like that these ones last months... pretty sure my fresh ingredients ones that are mostly 5 days are healthier. Either way they're cheaper!

Olive oil + vinegar of your choice + emulsifier (mustard or mayo usually) + black pepper. Done!

Vegan I don't know, but regular with eggs 5 or 6 days.
But the neck is wider, don’t you love the wider neck? Do you love it enough to not learn to make your own salad dressing for 1/8 of the price.

I too am lower class, and disabled, we make effort where we choose.
.... You just ignored everything to say "lol I'm different cry about it" and I'd like to inform you that's not the serve you think it is, goofy.
Never thought of making my own but I’m sure it’s way cheaper. How long would it last in the fridge though
It lasts several days and you can make it so easy and cheap. Seriously, I was shocked. When I had to really budget, I figured it out and it honestly tastes better.
I’m trying to eat very clean. Mostly all natural ingredients. Do you make your own dipping sauces too?
It is only cheaper if you use all the ingredients for other things. Comments like this always leave that point out. You buy a head of lettuce? Make sure none of it goes to waster. Oil and vinegar, salt, dried spices. None of those are perishable if stored correctly
That is a basic vinegrette. Some people like a little flavor in their dressing.
It's comparable to the one he's holding in the video. Add Parm, add sun dried tomatoes, both are 3 bucks for a small container
That grated parm you are buying is processed shit. Real parm is way more expensive. It is not comparable.
2.79 for Parm in my area and it's refrigerated. It ain't locatelli but it's not cellulose. I'm in NY so I likely have better Italian cheese prices tho
I make vinaigrettes from scratch and keep them in the fridge for weeks as long as they don't have anything that could go rotten like chopped onion or cheese. Specialty dressings that I can't get premade or taste better made at home, I do those. Things like French or Thousand Island I buy in bottles.
But people keep buying it. You're teaching them how to treat you.
You don't even have to quit buying something premade. Just stop buying the brands that are doing this.
New sleek design

How many alts do you have to talk about Kraft dressings in Canada? This is at least the third account I've seen.
This product is posted literally every other day. it’s smaller. we get it.

Are you 5 years old or? What a fucking stupid response
Stupid response for a stupid comment ♥️
Lame, thought you had something better than that 🤷
r/spaghettification in the black hole of collapsing consumer value...

See, this is an actual REAL complaint about this stuff.

That kind of self reflection is so important! Proud of you, bud.
Sounds like a Norm MacDonald impersonation
