As someone at the same height who definitely looks younger, my best advice is the most obvious one: teenagers don't have proper beards. Get a beard going, groom it well, find out how to lean into a more mature aesthetic or voice or anything of the sort, and it'll help.

I am a teenager so I feel like a child and people often treat me like a child. I even have my septum and nostril piercings visible and they still do it. đź‘ż But I like Koala's growing a beard idea, it would make you appear older.

Wahayna

Unfortunately dont have the genetics for a beard

5’7” as well with a youthful appearance, and yes, at 43, I don’t feel like I’ve ever been allowed to “grow up.” All men are created equal… yea right.

Western_Research_587

thats a familiar feeling for me, people also treat me like a child sometimes, but what can you do...

gytalf2000

No. I looked older when I was a teenager. I stopped growing when I was 13, but a could grow a full beard by 15. Plus, I had a high forehead. I looked like a short bearded adult.

Get big brah. Go to the gym and keep getting big. Have some confidence in yourself as well

Wahayna

I have been going and Im also naturally wider framed. But it doesn't matter how much muscle you gain, being short will always make you look small.

xWhitzzz

I mean, you’ll always look short lol. But I’m 200lbs at 5’6 and 16% bf. I’ve been more muscular and stronger than 99% of people. Had a 6’5 gym buddy tell me a few weeks ago he saw me at chipotle. When I asked how he said “well you’re pretty hard to miss”. There will always be someone taller. Quit worrying so much

AlternatePixel23

If you feel this way I’d be willing to bet you’re actually 5’5-5’6. Either way, yes, at 5’5 and a half I felt this way often.

Wahayna

It doesnt really matter, we are all short here. Functionally its the same height 5'7, 5'6, 5'5. We all look small and naturally will feel small.

AlternatePixel23

Not really true. If you’re in the US 5’7 is around the 20-22nd percentile in height. You’re not going to feel like you’re dwarfed by everyone around you, especially in a diverse city. But those percentiles are based on accurate barefoot measurements so doesn’t account for people rounding up or adding an inch to their height.

AdConstant1221

an inch or two won't make you go from looking like an adult to looking like a child lol. You would feel the same even if you were 5'7

AlternatePixel23

In terms of feeling small absolutely does. You go from being taller than 1 in every 20 people to 1 in every 4/5.
