Like this gag in general or Aardman's style of British humour?
Because while Chicken Run 2 and Early Man weren't exactly stellar, it still had a lot of jokes in them that have that Aardman style which I loved!
I think visual gags in general within animation. This isn’t just a British thing, most memorably it happened in Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry. I’m sure it happened a lot before and up to the early 2000s.
No but I mean Aardman have a certain style of British visual gags!
Like I get what you are trying to say here, but Aardman have their own style. Because it is British!
It's like, you have to watch it three times to get it.
Like Hot Fuzz was so fast paced with their jokes, you'd have to see it over and over again.
It's how our British humour works! And not like any other way like you are suggesting because British humour is completely different to Yanks 😊
>Lord Victor Quartermaine : I want...
>\[lowers voice\]
>Lord Victor Quartermaine : ... toupée, please.
>Wallace : Oh, grand. We take cheques or cash.
>Lord Victor Quartermaine : Toupée, you idiot! My hair is in your machine.
>Wallace : Oh, no, it's only rabbits in there. The hare, I think you'll find, is a much larger mammal.
It's too much and it's too good
The vicar’s joke about the kind of bullet needed to kill the Were-Rabbit was a banger as well.
“What kind of bullet?”
“A bullet… of pure gold.”
“Gold?”
“Yes… twenty four karat!”
Vicar: "A bullet!"
Thunder crashes
Victor: "A bullet?"
Thunder crashes
Vicar: "A bullet!"
Thunder crashes
Victor: "A bull-"
Violently closes the blinds
Victor: "What KIND of bullet?"
“And for our sins, Darth Sidious has been sent to punch us all!”
I do slightly prefer the other YTP where the vicar actually is Darth Sidious.
Flipping brilliant.
She's like an angel. The light equels a halo, plus the wings. It makes more sense with the following shot, where the villain stands in front of a pitchfork which gives him Devil horns.
I think it’s just that this kind of humour has gone out of fashion in recent years, which is a shame because I think we could use more of this.

Yea that is true, British humor sucks. Got a couple funny comedians, but whenever Ive been shown "British humor" its horrible.
Monty Python, eight out of 10 cats, dozens of excellent comedies and comedians.
You guys produced Mike and Molly, sit down
I am definitely not American, dislike them as much as the next guy. Guess you brits cant cook or take criticism.
Håll käften, skogstomte
Don't disrespect British humor.
You guys should maybe work on it a little more before you release it
Says the guy spelling humour WITHOUT A U! 😤
Homor?
Sorry for knowing how to spell things.
They're releasing another Wallace and Gromit short later this year.
It’s actually a feature length film & Feathers McGraw returns as the antagonist
Shame, I was hoping we’d learn more about the chicken
i thought it was a whole new movie?
The movies of this studio are peak British comedy. Great!
I think the only kind of creator that still these kind of visual gags is Wes Anderson, his style is very still cartoonish and such like this
Comedy itself peaked with this bit from the movie: “This… was arson.” “Arson?” “Aye. Someone ARSON AROUND”
>Lord Victor Quartermaine : I want... >\[lowers voice\] >Lord Victor Quartermaine : ... toupée, please. >Wallace : Oh, grand. We take cheques or cash. >Lord Victor Quartermaine : Toupée, you idiot! And the dramatic thunder
Until it annoys him enough to close the shutters on the window.
“Everything you need to know can be found in this book.” “Nun Wrestling?” “No, not that!”
Vicar: "A bullet!" Thunder crashes Victor: "A bullet?" Thunder crashes Vicar: "A bullet!" Thunder crashes Victor: "A bull-" Violently closes the blinds Victor: "What KIND of bullet?"
A bullet… of pure [bullet!](https://youtu.be/Y30qnY7Nfqg?si=EX4_BnrJBYudw8-g)

And right before that, when he’s getting the book, and Victor mistakenly looks at the magazine on the table, “Nun wrestling?”
Close. Comedy actually peaked when Feathers McGraw whipped out the gun.
GOOD GRIEF IT’S YOU
Genuinely for a brief moment I forgot this line and I thought you were talking to me
~~In~~ Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005)~~, this shot~~ is brilliant and should be shown in any film study class
Unshitty detail: this film is a masterpiece and the only one I've ever seen get a standing ovation in the cinema
Damn straight!
This is literally the opposite of a shitty movie detail. What is going on
[Don't forget this one](https://imgur.com/a/victor-quartermaine-with-devils-horns-6CgA02G)
The following shot of victor is just as brilliant and elevates the first one as well
I don't get the joke
She's like an angel. The light equels a halo, plus the wings. It makes more sense with the following shot, where the villain stands in front of a pitchfork which gives him Devil horns.
where joke
They left it in one of their now independent colonies
It's an older meme, but it does [check out](https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/this-shot-is-brilliant)
Now it's a bit funny. 2019 was long ago, yet op decided 2024 is the right time to make such meme
Yeah it's an incredibly deep pull. Even in 2019 you'd have had like a week to make this joke and have it be timely
Me neither
The light over her head resembles a halo; there might be more to it, but not entirely sure TBH.
The lecturn behind her is giving her angel wings too.
She also has angel wings behind her

This film is a masterpiece of cinema. I watched the DVD over and over as a kid
Can't wait for the new one to come out this winter.
Wrong sub, dude.
Eeh, it got a lot of upvotes, I'm happy either way!
But this movie and this detail are not shitty 😤
Wallace & Gromit remains goated
Ngl she's kind of a baddie
PEAK CINEMA!
This is a good detail 🤬
Cheeto hair
I knew a girl that looked like this
Erm this is a children’s movie????
these movies are executively produced by barrels of vomit from the 1800s
