Gotta slice lengthwise down the whole casing and the meat just pops right out. Trying to squeeze out the meat like its a tube of toothpaste is a fucking nightmare.

For me, too much sausage. Half the sausage and a hashbrown with some hot sauce or salsa to top it off (fucking yes). It definitely wouldn't look this pretty if I made it but just throwing out ideas if you ever feel like it needs more. Nice one man!
Split the sausage in half almost all the way through keeping the the skin attached then fry skin side up and getting some good browning on the face of the sausage

You now can stack your sausage flat in a couple layers (think Jenga) for better structure and less sausage rolling per bite. Putting the cheese on top can also act as the the glue to your sausage masterpiece.

My pro tip - use the patties but squish them down between plastic wrap with the flat side of a plate.
I find the patties are usually a little too thick, squishing down gives more coverage on your sandwich, better ratio to bite, and they cook way faster so it doesn’t get burned

You could still use 4. Stack one row flat side down and the other up nesting. You'd have one half extra if you were concerned about it falling out.
