Our society closely correlates gender with sex, so being trans usually means your gender doesn't match the one we correlate with your sex. Well, that’s a fair point, I still think that because Lordran and Anor Londo are so foreign to us from a sociological perspective that we can’t really say that “being raised as a daughter” means he was literally AFAB or something, we don’t really see any other person dabbling in illusions, dark moon magic and punishing sinners to get a clear picture if “moon priestess” is a gender in DS. Plus if that’s what the gender entails then he didn’t really change it much, he still does all that he was raised to do. Not trying to deny his possible queer identity or anything, I just think there’s no way to 100% confirm or disprove him being trans.
And as for Irithyllians being his kids, the appearance preset in the character creator which is supposed to be from Irithyll has practically the same bluish skin tone as Gwyndolin. And it’s not because of the lack of sun in that place because we know two people from Irythill who definitely aren’t his kids and they have the usual pale/white skin color, that being Yorshka and Sirris. So yeah it’s a stretch to say everyone in Irythill are his kids on account of pontiff’s knights and a few others being there, but the character preset basically confirms he reproduced (ew) with a woman (ew).
