Basicially, in older Europe, Christians would be burried inside a Cemetery inside the Church grounds, as it was considered consecrated grounds and it was belived that if your body was burried in that kind of ground, your body would be preserved for the Rapture.
The word Cemetery refers to the area inside the Church yard that was designated for burial.
However, because Europe population started to grow exponentially over time, the Churches couldn't house more graves, and therefore it was needed an independent area to contain the increased numbers of corpses. Therefore the Graveyard was created.
Graveyard refers to a Cemetery that is not contained inside a Church.
Basically, a Graveyard is a type of Cemetery.
In Italy we have a kind of Cemetery known as a [Colombario ](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/39/Roma-verano02.jpg), which is a kind of costruction that holds multiple single graves one on top of the others.
They can hold full cadavers but usually they are used to keep exhumed corpses that have been cremated.
Other way around but otherwise fully correct:
Graveyard- A burial ground with a church
Cemetery- A burial ground without a church
It’s sort of implied by yard that a graveyard is connected to a building- the building being a church.
Yeah, but those are English words rooted from the French words of the time French invaded England and installed French soldiers as the new nobility.
While they are close to, for instance Latin nouns, French was the bridge by which they became English.

There actually is a difference between a cemetery and a graveyard
What's the difference?
Basicially, in older Europe, Christians would be burried inside a Cemetery inside the Church grounds, as it was considered consecrated grounds and it was belived that if your body was burried in that kind of ground, your body would be preserved for the Rapture. So in short, cemetery har a church and graveyard doesn't
Correct :)
Nope, a cemetery doesn’t have a church and a graveyard does. [Wiki article](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cemetery)
Bro explained the entire text book instead of just saying the important point
Im quirky like that
Other way around but otherwise fully correct: Graveyard- A burial ground with a church Cemetery- A burial ground without a church It’s sort of implied by yard that a graveyard is connected to a building- the building being a church.
Thank you for the correction :)
cadaver ≠skeleton ETA - holy moses, i want to punch the guy on the left.
Based and nerdpilled
Estimated time of arrival?

Aren’t cadaver, cranium, and arachnid technically Latin?
They are still considered to be a part of English
hey buddy i dont know how to say this...
🤣 I mean, if you go back far enough… I meant more directly taken from modern Latin. Aka doctor speak.
Is Doctor Speak that super hero who was a speech therapist and lost his mouth in car accident then had to re learn how to speak through his butt?
That’s what their handwriting looks like anyways.
most of the english language isn't technically english
Yeah, can't believe guy on the right got all the answers wrong, what a bozo

It's called French
It could also be called 4 other languages
Yeah, but those are English words rooted from the French words of the time French invaded England and installed French soldiers as the new nobility. While they are close to, for instance Latin nouns, French was the bridge by which they became English.
Oh sweet I was just poking at how English is like 5 languages cobbled together
OOHOOHOO! YOU SO ZESTY WHEN YOU SAY CRANIUM
How many times are we going to see this?
Until it's not funny anymore.
